This is one long a$$ story but it is really really good too!

Author's Response: Shoot, I have a whole mess of long a$$ stories on this site. But thanks for reading!

I was just reading some of the old comics but I don't recall Angus so I'm curious to see what's next. I always like how you show the closeness between Ororo and Jean, as I said you do relationships really well. Reading the old comics it was intriguing to see Jean change when I knew what was coming and it's that way with your story. I definitely sense a Dark Phoenix story coming up and that's something I'm really looking forward to.

Author's Response: He was just a guy who had it in for Moira for letting the X-Men destroy his vessel. He was basically just a vessel himself for Proteus to possess...oops. Gave away a plot bunny...There will be Phoenix coming up, but not necessarily in space.

That was cool, kind of a play on when Logan saved Ororo from drowning, enjoying his little bout of mouth to mouth only the tables were turned. Cute. And that Stryker! You've made him one twisted, sick, hard S.O.B.! I was really taken aback when he offed that girl. Crazy wild.

Author's Response: I had fun with Logan! Yeah, I kept Stryker the way I remember him in God Loves, Man Kills. He actually did do that.

I'm really enjoying Kitty and especially like how you write her and Magneto. In fact, Eric was portrayed really well here.

Author's Response: Thanks! Eric wasn't always a villain. He's the only Marvel bad guy who has a significant back story for why he does what he does. Kitty and Eric have a similar ethnic background, they are both smart and are both mutants. I wanted them so bond. Thanks, Darlene.

I love that word ablutions, just wanted to say that. And Matt and Logan, I love them the most about this story though I think I've said that before. I'm wondering is this going to be one great epic that takes the X-Men from the beginning to the present?

Author's Response: I don't use that word often, but I enjoy it, too. It might not take them too far into the present, since some of Logan's recent stories have been so subpar, and I'm not even gonna delve into Storm's marriage. I'm sticking mostly to Claremont's stories for this one, but I don't know where to go with it next after Scotland.

I don’t know if I mentioned this before but despite its updated modern edge his story is so nostalgic I can’t help but like it. I really, really like the way you show Kitty and Ororo together. I think a lot of people forget they were so close something that never happened between Kitty and Jean. When you look back over the years everyone turns to Ororo and never Jean. I actually didn’t want Jean to go to the movies with them.

Kitty’s so much a youngster in this story just as she be, you write her well. And I see what you mean about how you’ve used Emma’s affect on Ororo. I think the things Emma did to Ororo would never be forgotten much less forgiven so I always see them as antagonists.

You know it’s funny now after all these years to think about who cleans the mansion and that Moria would – Doctor MacTaggart, housekeeper extraordinaire. Just wanted to say that. It's good to be back online and able to read again. Going to bed now and will finish tomorrow most likely.

Author's Response: Moira was a riot. She was a Jane of all trades, something I laugh about now. I like bringing in elements of the eighties with this story, just because I'm nostalgic. There will be more crazy stuff with Jean coming up. Thanks for the reviews, woman, I love getting them from you. Kitty will develop more eventually, but not too fast.

Yay! You spoil me so. An update of this as well as "The Getaway" , woot!

Lets see. My, my, my, Jean's becoming a little problem isn't she? Not only interfering with developing RoLo but also Moira too.

I liked the small RoLo scene on the plane, as well as the trepidation, you've been giving us so far about Jean's waning control and sensibility with her powers. I honestly can't imagine what it would feel like to gain that much power and control over such a short period of time, would actually do to a person, because honestly the god complex wouldn't really be too far off.

I'm interested in seeing what happens when the Phoenix fully develops and the other's reactions to it. Namely, Scott and Ororo's reactions. Also how much of the phoenix storyline you'll delve into.

Either way some hot stuff coming in the future and I can't wait. Later hon!

Author's Response: I've been trying not to let this story be a Jean/Logan/Ororo tug of war, but it keeps bending that way. There will be Phoenix in this, certainly, but there is going to be a lot of other stuff developing, and more character developments too, from different players. Thanks for the review!

I love it when you end these chapters with Logan reminicsing. I laughed when Ororo was giving him mouth to mouth. Laughed again when he and Matt were talking about it. You really make me feel what they feel, the romance, the desire, you just write it so well!

Author's Response: Glad you laughed. That scene tickled me when it came to me, classic cliche of a woman getting snookered into a kiss by a "helpless" male, like Jennifer kissing Andy on WKRP in Cincinatti on the epi where they had a tornado. The Matt/Logan exchanges are also fun to write, I like it when older people and young people communicate and share their experiences. Thanks for your reviews, you know I like hearing your opinion, Darlene.

Packed with on the edge of your seat action/tension! OMIGOSH!

Author's Response: Okay, I love that review! Omigosh!!! Hopefully you won't have to move back from the edge of your seat too soon, there will be more action.

I love Storm here. I'm not a fan of Dazzler much at all but maybe John will have someone I guess. I've always liked the bond Jean and Ororo have so this was a great chapter with them. You took Ororo to places I'm sure Chris never thought of and I can see her having to deal with all that, Logan too. Well done.

Author's Response: I always liked Ororo and Jean's friendship, even though in the Ultimates' title, they seem to get on each other's nerves in regard to Logan. They're both beautiful women with a lot to offer and don't have to fight over a man! Not that I haven't had them do that in a fic, but I like them as friends. They're kinda Marvel's version of Betty and Veronica, sometimes. Dazzler was never my favorite, either, she can be very annoying, but I reread the old Uncanny story where they meet her and laughed at how ghetto and silly she sounded, her with her rollerskates and Farrah hair. John won't necessarily end up with Dazzler, but it was fun to throw him in there as beefcake. Feisty beefcake.

I remember when you put this chapter up and I thought 10,000 plus words! and wondered how I'd ever find the time to read it but this holiday I did and I'm so glad because this is a story I've been anxious to get caught up on.

I really enjoy your take on John, a character that I don't think anyone's done much with if anything at all. I almost want Ororo to get with him. I like the pace you have for the RoLo though. You know I was surprised to see Kitty in this so soon, really suprised but I like that. I like the unexcpected turns you have, makes this so much more enjoyable.

Author's Response: I know. It's hard to keep chapters short for this story. Kitty is a character who makes me happy, she shows up a lot in my RoLo, and she was always my favorite among the characters Claremont created himself, aside from Storm, Dani or Rahne, I guess my second favorite. I always kinda liked John because he was so obnoxious but still had a lot of conviction, they killed him off too soon. There will be more RoLo, preferably with them building a friendship along the way. Thanks for the review, Darlene.

wow! ^ really like this story!!! *_*
Kitty was awesome, really! great girl!
And the couple Ororo/Logan....ah! I have no words!
I'm looking forward to the next chapter!! *_*
kiss!!!

Author's Response: *kisses back* Glad you liked Kitty. She's one of my favorite X-Men. Ororo and Logan will have a chance to become more of a couple gradually. I want them to become friends first, for a change. Thank you for reading me!

Great update.

“I can help you,” “I’ve even got a uniform.”
*giggles* Kitty is so adorable

Author's Response: Thanks! I like writing her the way she was back in the eighties, how Claremont created her. She was precocious, but mouthy. If you go back to when they were fighting the Brood, I think issues 160-ish to 175-ish, she had tons of costumes.

“So help me…I’m turnin’ her over me knee, Sean. You heard it here first.”

That made me burst out laughing.

Are we about to hear another story? *looks hopeful*

Author's Response: Possibly. I'm thinking about what I have in my outline to work on next. The gang might end up in Scotland. Glad you liked that line. I had fun writing it. I love Moira.

wow, that was an amazing chapter. I was proud of kitty. shocked at Stryker's action toward Anne. Wonderful that she was a mutant too. That was unexpected.

loved last line.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had a time of it trying to decide which parts of God Loves, Man Kills to play with to conclude this. I have the Xtreme X-Men trade with the old story and the newer one in it. Stryker was definitely a bastard. Kitty rocked in the original. Thanks for reading, Taco.
