This was moving. I am a sucker for the color red in lit, particularly in relation to the Phoenix and during sunsets. It gives me that same little happy tickle of "I understand what the author is trying to say" the same way it does with stories like "The Scarlet Letter." I get immediate gratification with color imagery and symbolism in fic, suffice it to say.

I love Scott saying "I never had a Plan B." That sums up so much of him, in comics and the movie. Logan realizing that Scott and Jean had such a comprehensive relationship where he just wanted "the passion and the ache" was deep, too, and fitting.

Yup. Real life is a drag, but make time for us as you can. Keep this coming.

Author's Response: Heys! Thanks for the positive and detailed review! Yeah, at the time it just felt a natural progression to just go all color-ey when thinking about a chick named "Red". It kinds went nuts after that. And thanks on the Scott thing. I felt I needed to quantify the whole triangle thing. I mean, face it, he only knew her the culmination of a week. The third is coming though I wanted to post up Remem before as I had promised. RL is a sonovabitch.

This is my first time reading this. I think it was on my list to read before and then I got busy. I can't wait to see what happens.

Author's Response: I look forward to your thoughts, TS! :)

You have a very gifted way of writing. It's almost like poetry with every sentance you write. I envy you of this, but as beautiful the language is, I easily get lost in your words and can't see the story. But I guess this is more like a vingette, poem and reflection. And for that the language is perfect, even if I get lost in the beautiful words :)

Author's Response: Thank you for your review. I do see what you mean about the over flowery language. And, yeah, I'm sure everyone's asking what is the plot? True. True. I guess in my initial writing of this, I wanted to concentrate on just what the aftermath of such a major event like that would be. Oh, trust me. It's leading up to something. Something hinted upon in the first chapter, but, of course, vaguely so. I need to write plainer though. I agree. Working my way there.

i read this to dying strings of chaconne. not the most happy mix.

Author's Response: Huh. I need to check that out, then. The past few days it's been "Dream Brother by Jeff Buckley and various covers of "Hallelujah". I'm about to crawl under my bed or something.

What does "In medias res…" mean?

Author's Response: Just a fancy schmancy Latin-y way of saying "to be continued". Literally "in the middle of things."

Please, please tell me there will be more to this. It's fantastically written, and I think I'm a little addicted. :D I really hope you continue. :D

Author's Response: Yeah. I'm a jerk. I'm back and motivated to be through with this up-in-the-air mess once and for all. :)

You have such a grasp of the English language that you make a fellow author bow their head with something akin to shame when they (I) think of (my) paltry efforts that pale in comparison to yours. Your work is just phenomenal and always a joy to read. You and Digital Tempest are worlds apart from most other RoLo writers.

Author's Response: PSHAW! First off, during my lurking phase, you were on the short list of my favorite authors. I thank you deeply for your kind words and you regard. Now, let's you and I get together and force DigT to update!

Wow, NemB....Simply, Wow... Your grasp of the remaining X-men members' pain at having to leave the site of Jean's demise....simply powerful. I truly believe that this should have been the way Fox and Singer presented the scene to us at the conclusion of X2. Your writing style is so polished, so sophisticated, and such a joy to read. I felt totally immersed in this memory; felt sorrow for Scott and Logan; understood Ro's dilemma--all because of your masterful skill at story-telling. Bravo.

Author's Response: Wow! Thanks, Echo! Reading your dealing with tough issues in "Sunsets" it warms me to pieces to see your positive regard. I am speechless to your glowing review. Wow! Thanks! I hug you times four!
