Okay, I've recovered now.
This was very well-written, incited many different emotions and reactions, the imagery was well done, detailed descriptions which I love, without bein' overly done.
Fantastic style and the pace was just right. All in all, very nicely done. ---- W6C

Kay.......... you just brought me to my knees.... *can't breathe here*.... loved their relationship, the playfulness, the obvious love an' passion, lifted me right up............. sat here smilin' imaginin' that all for myself, for me an' my girl....... an' then you crushed me..........
Was wonderfully written, the imagery was superb........ dont like the end. Written well....... but you tricked me into readin' a sad endin'... that just ran me through the wringer....... right now i'm torn between bawlin' my eyes out in fear/grief an' tryin' to critique it.....dont think i can do both right now. Not what I needed right now... with so much RoLo turmoil goin' on right now that endin' was not what I needed....... I'll try to give ya' an "author to author" critique once I shake this off. --- Traumatized W6C

Gorgeous prose, I was that close to blubbering. Hemhorrhaging, bone claws, it makes sense. Keep this a standalone one-shot, it's more poignant that way. Normally I hate sad stuff, but this affected me (and now I'm waiting for Wolverine 41, thanks a lot...hmmph.)

Author's Response: Thanks Darlin! I've never written or even really given much thought to a RoLo story that would not end happily, but here we are. There's so much more to this story--albeit bittersweet--but I don't have the time to go into it...yet

I've never had a story nag at me like this one did...even now, though I said it was a one shot, I feel more of the story (both before and after the events of this "one shot") forming in my head...

Oh, as for the baby's little claws...I decided to go ahead and show part of his mutation at birth, primarily for effect. He's to have a mixture of powers from both parents--mainly to show the bond between Logan & Ro & what love btw them can produce. I haven't given much thought into specific abilities, but suffice it to say, he's got 3 (bone) claws like Wolverine, physical attributes from Storm, and the rest is still up to the imagination (should I decide to ever follow up on this story; for now it's just a one-shot).

Hauntingly beautiful!!! I'm sitting here on the verge of tears after reading this. It is so rare that a fic moves me to the brink of tears, but you've done it. I can only hope that this story comes to the attention of TPTB over at Marvel, and they get the hint (wishful thinking?)

You know, I haven't read it since I posted it (which is pretty unusual for me); It really took a lot out of me to write, and I understand if some readers don't wanna dwell on the sadder aspects of the fic. I just had to write it; it was nagging at me all the while writing chapters for 'Sunsets', till I finally just had to go ahead & write the darn thing. For so few words, it took hours to get just so, and still I don't think I got across exactly what I was feeling.
Anyway, I hope TPTB see ALL of the wonderful ROLO fics on this site & others; they need a friggin' wake up call (as I write this, I found out that Claremont is leaving Uncanny...wonder if the desecration of one of his fav characters has anything to do w/ it???)
