Well, I normally don't care for movie verse and I too have issues with X3 plus I don't normally read NC17 but OMIGOSH this was a very good beginning just spilling over with possibilities and oh the potential! Nicely done and welcome to the Realm!

How intriguing! Although, I kind of wish she had zapped him for that one. Oh well, the movie version of Ororo was not quite as feisty as the comic version. More please!

Angst is a girl's best friend. Okay, not really, but I happen to like angst... a lot. Excellent start to what promises to be an excellent fic. You did a wonderful job of really capturing the sadness of the day.The feeling was very tangible.Loved the imagery of Ro as the wolf who'd be willing to do anything for those she loves. Keep it up!

Author's Response: Okay maybe a second best friend, I really do fancy diamonds myself :P Your praise means a lot to me, you're like my fanfiction hero. Now stop reading my fic and give me an update to Codename... :)

I'm glad you're not just sitting on this story idea and that you decided to post it for us to enjoy. Nice interaction, nice reference to Scott and Ororo's friendship, and I love the comparison between Ororo and the wolf, it was a compelling mental image and very creative. Normally Logan's always compared to a wolf. Good work

Author's Response: Thanks, I used to really hate Scott in the comic but the big screen version of the character kinda made me come around. I love wolverine but the way he really came at Jean in the movie made me uncomfortable, it was missing all the nuances that would have made it more acceptable/beliveable. Glad you liked the reference to the wolf, I've always thought Ororo had some wolf like qualities and will probably reference it again in coming chapters.

You're right. This is angsty, but I like it. I like how you were able to capture both 'Ro and Logan's pain. Poor Scott. Not knowing if Jean loved him or Logan at her 'death', was so sad.

'Willing for the moment to be his life preserver in their sea of tears."

^That's my favorite line from this chapter. Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: I'm a real sucker for angst, I live for angst. :) It's funny I almost took that line out actually, felt a little to melodramatic for me. I'm glad you liked it. :)
