"Oh!" was my reaction to this whole piece, and I do mean that in the best way imaginable. This felt very real! I like that you kept things very simple, and yet not. It was easy to read because you didn't use any over-the-top or descriptive lines or anything, and somehow the emotion that spilled over was very *real*. Well-written, and worth reading again! :)

I must admit, I'm not a huge fan of Marie/Rogue. Dunno why, but I guess the movies just didn't flesh her out enough for me. I do like the comic Rogue, still to a far lesser extent than Storm, but it could still be for the same reason. I like how you've written her through this story. She's been warming up to me and for one of the first times, she feels 'human' to me (meh, human, mutant, it's all the same) :) Another well written chapter, which is always difficult to do with such an ensemble character list. Two thumbs up

this was so well done. I love the realism of them dropping off Rogue at college, even though for me it's been almost two decades ago *well, eighteen years* The Walmart comforter and plastic drawers tickled me.

Thanks for solving the Peter/Warren mystery. They make a neat couple, no one ever gives those two that relationship, and it was a nice change. The love scene was brief and understated, not a bad thing, and I liked that Logan's toes curled, for some reason. That's a cute trait in a guy!

I love your stories anyway, I think this is my favorite so far.

Okay. This is probably the third or fourth time I've said this, but man, I wish I could write like you!

I love the subtle bits of humor, particularly the scene with Rogue at Walmart. You're one of the only writers I've seen giving the teen characters mundane jobs and normal lives outside of being a mutant. I also love the additions of characters like Jubilee and Danielle, since I'm more of a comic buff than movie fan.

The line about men only caring that the underwear came off was genius.

Can't wait to see the outcome of who Warren's boinking, too. Yes, I know this is RoLo, but I love interactions between background characters, too.

Author's Response: Thanks! I like fics where nothing big happens, and I like ensemble type fics. So that's why I've decided to write these things. I appreciate your reviews! They always make me want to update faster.

I'm going to have to second Voli here, every chapter is a new treat! Well written, both grammatically and creatively. Little to no typos and a great flow and exposition of characters. A very very good read. Thank you for that.

Author's Response: Thank you!

Wow! This story gets better with every chapter!!!! Not that I care about Rouge at all, but I just don't have her figured out in this story. She seems plain plain plain. lol! No biggie. I love seeing more of Logan's pov for once!

Keep up the great work and update asap! :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I think Rogue has senioritis. (LOL I know I did at that age ...)

You know your story is really something so simple, almost just a day in the life of the X-Men but it's more than that despite the simplicity of it. It’s as if it really happened, is really taking place the moment we're reading, right before our eyes and not just something we're reading or rather conscious of reading. It's a wonderful feeling, that.

I love Storm’s argument: “Then they take the cure and get upset because their problems still remain. They find out that all of their issues—family, job, money—had little to do with their mutations in the first place. Then they realize that they’ve given up the very fabric of who they are, and for what.” So true. It's much like plastic surgery, people think they'll be better after it but nothing's changed with their internal problems. I really enjoy the thoughtfulness you give the characters. There’s so much more in your writing than he wants her but she doesn’t want him or they just have to get together moving from point A to point B in the usual manner.

This is a complicated and oh so realistic relationship going on here. It feels real though they’re not together they are and yet neither has spoken of it. It’s natural and sweet and a little sad too. And Logan’s not just the hardened gruff man we often think of him as but a real live human being – a real man, acting just as one might expect a real man like Logan would act. I’ll tell you something these insights into his thoughts, his actions are something that's never really occurred to me. They give a meaningful depth to the man and I love it. You’ve made movie Logan real to me. And the sex, it’s simple, matter of fact, no lustful depiction needed and maybe because it’s more than lust or I’d like to think so. You mentioned before that you weren’t good with sex scenes but oftentimes less is so much more.

You’ve a knack for making these two larger than life characters quite believably and vulnerably human and yet you keep the essence of who they are. Yes, Storm might cuss but I can see the character, frustrated, tired, alone and maybe even secretly afraid of feeling all that and just cutting lose. You have a good feel for these movie characters and this is the first time in a very long time that I can remember actually looking forward to updates for a movie fic. A wonderful chapter, a great story and a true treat!

Author's Response: Wow, I don't even know where to begin. Reviews like this are what keep a writer going. I'm glad you enjoyed this fic--it probably sounds corny and disingenuous, but nothing is more important to me than being able to entertain someone. Thank you so much for your kind review!

what's good about this chapter is that the bedroom scenes have these moments in them that you can picture between real people. I love her reactions, both the good and the bad, of him waking her up. That was so relatable and funny in its subtle way. I'm glad to see movieverse Warren making an appearance.

I also smiled at the Friendly's reference, since I'm from Massachusetts, and I haven't been to one in about five years.

Author's Response: Thank you! I have a hard time characterizing movieverse Warren. He just seems so completely different from the comics, so I'm learning to go with it. BTW, I hate Friendly's. It's kind of gross. I do believe they have them in upstate NY, though.

This is really, really, really good! I almost don't want to say anything more than that because that says it all but hey, I'm not built that way, I can't stop myself from rambling.

I love how you made this all work together, it's so believable, paced beautifully and the sex - omigosh! - just written very well. It wasn't anything over the top, not graphic at all but really rather beautiful and a little pitiful for Logan but in a realistic, human way. I LOVED it and I don't really read stories with sex in them.

I love that it's not a relationship and yet it's obvious that it should be. I love that Logan wants her and I love her standoffishness. Best story I've read all night and the best in a very long time!

Author's Response: Wow, thank you! Reviews such as yours make it all worth it. I've never been complimented on my sex writing before, yipee! Sex scenes are hard for me to write. I always struggle with wanting to make it real but not porn. Thank ya!

I don't know what it is about your stories, but they suck me right in. You make Ororo stronger and more jaded than most writers, which I love, and Logan has this hint of uncertainty in this that makes him more likable. I loved your stuff that you put out on Livejournal a while back, too. Hope you'll keep posting there or here. Kitty's one of my favorite characters, so I hope there will be more of her in this story.

Author's Response: Thank you! I appreciate the review! I had no idea that this site existed until very recently. I actually think that Logan, esp. movieverse Logan, is kind of a big romantic. He's always falling in love. Poor guy.
