Chapter 1

Beep! Beep! Beep! Damn there goes the alarm clock Ororo thinks before actually opening her eyes. She turns over to see the back of her husband breathing deeply. Wonders what time he got in she thinks to herself.
She gets up and looks at the clock 5:30a.m.. “Well I better get up and get breakfast ready.” She walks to the bathroom and turns on the shower and steps in. She winces once the water touches her back then she remembers. “Damn I forgot about last night!” This time he really put it on me and I didn’t even say anything about him going out this time. The beating all came back to her blow by blow. Thank gods he waited before pounding her til after Kendall went to bed.

After getting out of the shower she carefully dries off and puts on her nurse’s uniform. She then proceeds to the kitchen after waking Kendall and telling her to go and wash up to put on her school clothes. She starts to fix breakfast and then she feels someone behind her. “Oh you, startled me Victor” almost dropping the frying pan of bacon.
“Are you afraid of me or something? Why would I scare you?”
Sensing if she said the wrong thing would come a slap. “No I was just thinking of waking you and you just suddenly are there.”
Accepting that “Oh really, where’s my Princess is she getting ready?”
“Yes” watching the eggs so they won’t burn wondering if this is the right time to ask a question but decides against it.

“Do you have a busy day today?” Sitting down when Kendall comes into the breakfast room. “Hi mommy and daddy.” Kendall says smiling.
“Hello baby” her daddy says as he picks her up and puts her in her chair. “Yes Ororo I do have a busy day so don’t wait on eating dinner. I have a big case coming up in a couple of weeks. Why?” as he drinks his coffee.
“ Well I was wondering if you would pick up Kendall from school so I can work some overtime at the hospital. Noticing the look on his face she explains “Emma’s tuition is coming up and I have to pay it.”
“No, I can’t pick her up. As I have told you a million times that spoiled brat needs to get a job and help out with the tuition.”

Sensing another argument and beating her quickly says “Never mind I understand what you are saying.” She changes the subject “Kendall do you have everything you need for school?”
“Yes mommy, but we have to stop at the store to get my paper.”
“Oh yeah I forgot well let’s get a move on before we are both late!” Kendall rushes off to her room and Ororo hurries to clean up the kitchen when she feels Victor behind her. He puts his hand on her shoulders and squeezes them tightly “I am truly sorry for last night you know not to bother me when I have my mind on something else.” He tries to kiss her on the neck her most vulnerable spot.
“Don’t forget to pick up the tickets for the ball next week I have to be there.”

“All-right Victor I won’t forget, and your dinner will be in the microwave when you come home.” As she pulls away from him, he catches her arm. “Hey I want to be pleased by my wife right now come here!”
“Victor I can’t. I got to drop off Kendall and get to work.” His grip tightens on her arm.
“Do what I say!” with anger in his eyes.
“Victor please don’t do this while Kendall is here!” she pleads with him.
“Wait here Ororo I will take care of Kendall and oh you better call in to work today.” Scared of what will happen next she does what she was told to do and calls in to work.
Patricia, a plump little dark chocolate woman, hears the ring. I wonder who is calling in to work today. These young people have no pride in coming to work these days she thinks to herself.
“Hello” she answers politely with a smile.
“Hi Patricia it’s Ororo.”
“Oh hi Ororo what’s up?”

“I won’t be coming in to work today. Kendall is sick.”
“Oh the poor dear what’s wrong?”
“She has a fever and a runny nose so I thought I better keep her home.”
“Okay I hope she feels better.” After hanging up her phone. She starts to think the little rich bitch she could just quit and give her job to someone else who needs a job.
Victor returns from taking Kendall to school and quickly grabs her by the arms and pulls her to the bedroom.

Meanwhile, pulling into an empty space at the hospital Dr. James Logan rushes to get to an elevator so he can start his rounds. Late again he thinks I am gonna have to get the locks changed today! Last night while he was sleeping off a 36-hour shift he was awaken by his ex-girlfriend Mariko. “Damn how can I get rid of that psycho bitch?”
“Talking to yourself again, James.” James turned around to be greeted by his best friend Dr. Remy Lebeau. These two have been best friends since freshman year of college.
“Yeah Mariko came by last night to talk.” Skipping on the seducing part.
“Yeah right!” Remy joking with him.
“Hey I thought you were off today?”
“I was but my favorite nurse called out today so I’ve got to finish up some reports that she was going to finish for me.”
“Are you talking about Ororo?”
“Yeah, Kendall’s sick so she called out today.”
They both get off the elevator and proceed to their office they share together.
“Remy what is your entire history with Ororo?”

“Hold on bud she is a married woman.”
“I know but why does she even work when she really doesn’t have to?”
“She’s trying to put her sister Emma through school and her damn husband won’t help her.”
“What’s his problem?” James asks.
“I really don’t know but me and Ororo grew up together in New Orleans. Her parents died when she was ten and her guardian raised her. We got to be good friends all through school and we tried to go out but she was very high maintenance and you know me I cheated and got caught. But we both went on to Northwestern and remained friends.”
“Yes I do but when you introduced me to her she was going with that jerk Victor then.”

“Yeah you’ve had a crush on her since haven’t you?” Remy shakes his head.
Remy smiles “So James what’s on your agenda today?” James not listening to Remy thinks back on when he first met Ororo.
In comes this beautiful pecan goddess 5'6 long slender legs, big bust, a nice butt, and long sleek white hair, a product from her. He instantly fell for her when he saw her that night.
“James earth to James!” Remy said snapping his fingers.
“Oh sorry what?” James said jerking his head around to seeing a smiling Remy.
“Thinking about Ororo again huh?”
“Well” scratching his head “yes thinking of the first time I saw her. Why did she marry that idiot husband of hers?”

“Because she was pregnant and wanted a family with him.”
Just then a call comes over the intercom.” Paging Dr. Lebeau call 636. Paging Dr. Lebeau call 636.”
“Well I better get that.” He picks up the phone.

Ororo eases herself into a hot bath after rough sex with Victor. “Oh God help me get out of this!” she softly screams.
The phone rings, and she gets out of the bath and picks it up.
“Hello.”
“What took you so long to answer the phone?”
“Oh hi Emma what’s up?”
“Nothing just doing my weekly checkup. How’s my favorite niece doing?”
“She’s fine. How about yourself?”

“I’m fine hey my tuition check needs to be in next Friday.”
“Okay it will be there. Let me get off the phone I’ve gotta go pick up Kendall from school.”
“Okay sis see you soon.”
She checks her messages on her cell phone. She has two messages one from Remy and another from her friend Marie. She decides to call Remy first.
“Hello James is Remy in the office, this is Ororo.”
“He just left how’s Kendall?”
“She’s alright. How are you?”
“I’m fine I will tell Remy that you called is there anything wrong?”
“No I was just returning his phone call if you see him tell him I will be at the hospital tomorrow if he needs me.”

“I will hey what’s wrong?” James sensing something in her voice.
“Oh Nothing just tired that’s all.”
“Hey when’s the last time you had a check up?”
“Last year sometime why?”
“Maybe its time you need another one.”
“I’ll think about making an appointment.”
“You do that alright.”
She hangs up the phone and waves at Kendall waiting on the curb for her.
“Hello Mrs. Creed, Kendall was very good in class today as always.” her teacher Miss Grey said.

Miss Grey was a very thin and tall what some would say a white bombshell. She was a very good teacher but had a special favorite pet and that was Kendall. When she saw Mr. and Mrs. Victor Creed at the parent teachers’ conference, her eyes focused on Mr. Creed. She wanted him badly and was determined to get him anyway she could.

Victor sat at his big desk after finishing a long lunch hour with Michelle, his partners secretary. To Victor a long lunch meant main course sex, dessert more sex ,drink sex then may be a sandwich on the way back to the office. He couldn’t remember the last time he had not done this routine. Just then his partner Sam walked in.
“Damn Victor I do need my secretary sometime.”
“Sorry Sam she’s just so appetizing some times.” smiling his two million dollar smile.
“Well when are you gonna stop this l like Ororo, Victor if you don’t want her let her go.” sensing he hit a nerve. He turns to walk away.

“Hey, Sam do not involve yourself in my personal relationship again. Ororo if you don’t know is just for appearances only. She tricked me into marriage by getting pregnant. She knows how I was before I married her so she shouldn’t expect me to change should she?”
“Victor you are a cold cold man.” Sam says as he walks out of the office. “Just remember most of the business we get here is because of your marriage to Ororo and nothing else.” he closes the door behind him.
As much as he hated what Sam said the realized that it was the truth. Being from a distinguish family like the Munroe’s of Munroe Pharmaceuticals help his career in more ways than one.
His phone rings and he hears his secretary’s voice telling him of the call.
“Hello Ms. Grey how are you?”

“Hey babe um I’m just confirming our dinner date tonight at seven.”
“Yeah I will be there around six to pick you up alright?”
“That will be fine. See you then.”
After he hangs up the phone he reminisces about the times he has spent with Kendall’s teacher. Just thinking about it has made him hard as a rock he has never felt this way about a woman except for Ororo earlier when they started to date. But this woman was asking him something the other women have never asked and that was to give up his life with Ororo and marry her. He really cared for Jean but give up the life he was accustomed to in no way possible in the future.

Back at the hospital James sees Remy and remembers the message that Ororo left.

“Hey Remy Ororo called and said if you needed her she will be here tomorrow. Hey is she alright?”
“As far as I know she is fine why?”
“She didn’t sound well on the phone I suggested she might go and have a checkup.” with concern in his voice.
“She’s probably tired don’t worry.”
“Hey about dinner tonight I might be a little late.” he says after a nurse walks by.
‘Why is that?”
“I’ve gotta go and pick up my car and drop off these charts off for Ororo to finish for me.”
“Well don’t forget to meet me at the Green Cabaret for dinner. If you want why don’t I take you to pick up your car?”
“No that won’t me necessary hey you could do me a real big favor and drop these off by Ororo’s for me?”

He takes the charts “Sure I’ll take them for you don’t forget 7:00 tonight.”
They both go off in different directions. It will make his day when he sees her bright smile. He always makes a point to talk to her. “Man you have to get your mind off of her she is happily married.” he thought as he walked down the corridor to his patient’s room.

Later that day while leaving the office Remy reminds James about the charts and they leave the hospital. Ororo is preparing dinner for her and Kendall when the phone rings.
“Hello.”
“Hello Ororo. Just wanted to remind you that I will be late getting home tonight so don’t wait up.” Victor says with Jean sitting beside him in the car.

“I didn’t forget. How’s your case coming along?” hearing a woman’s’ voice in the background.
“It’s fine well I gotta go.” pulling up to the restaurant.
“Victor when is she gonna wise up and leave you?” Jean says.
“When I tell her it’s over, Jean. Right now I’m not ready to leave I have to leave when the timing is right.”
“But Victor when will that be?”
“Hey Jean lets not talk about that right now let’s just go and have a good time. Remember I’m here with you and not her.” satisfied with his answer Jean relaxes and gets out of the car.

James pulls his car in front of the white Greek mansion of Ororo and Victor. He thinks of his mediocre four bedroom home. “What do I have to offer her when she has all of this.” he walks up to the door and rings the doorbell.
“Oh hello” as he looks down and sees two big beautiful grey eyes looking up at him.
“Hello hold on I’ll get my mommy.” she skips down the hallway. A minute later he sees Ororo dressed in an oversized sweatshirt and jean shorts.
“Oh hi James come in.” he steps into the house.
“Well I just dropped off some charts for Remy.” handing her the charts. He looks around the immaculate home.
“I was just in the kitchen follow me.” As she puts down the charts on the table she leads James to the kitchen.
“So you were being nice huh. Was Remy running late or was he chasing some little nurse around the hospital?”
“Running late” smiling “we are suppose to be meeting for dinner tonight but I don’t know now.”

“Well maybe you should call before going to the restaurant just in case he got tied up with someone.” she said.
“I might do that we all know how Remy is, so how are you feeling?”
Looking at James she wishes her lips were kissing his nice full lips. His beautiful grey eyes against his tanned skin makes him look like a Greek god. She takes every bit of him in and sees his sharp features of is face. Snapping out of the trance he has put her under. Kendall walks in while he makes a phone call to Remy.
“Mommy can I have some more juice.” tapping on Ororo’s back she winces in pain James sees the reaction on her face.
“Here honey” as she places the juice in her hand “go upstairs and play until I call you.” she lets out a sigh.

“Ororo what is wrong with you?’ hoping he did not see the pain in her eyes she turns around.
“Nothing why do you ask?” James slowly walks up to Ororo and turns her around and looks into her eyes.
“There’s something in your eyes let me see.” he slowly touches her back and sees the reaction on her face. “Turn around.” as she turns she breaks out crying.
“Ororo what is wrong?” when he lifts her shirt he sees the bruises and cuts on her back he feels all the rage in him surface. “What in the hell!”

“Please don’t say anything James to Remy.”
“Who in the hell did this to you? Why did you let him do this? Is this why you didn’t come in to work today?”

“Yes James but it was my fault I asked too many questions and he got angry with me.”
“That is no excuse Ororo go and get some things packed for you and Kendall I’m not leaving you here like this!”
“I can’t leave James he’s my husband.”
“Yes you can why in the hell would you want to stay?”
“Because he is my husband James, don’t you understand? He is my husband.” she cries in his big muscular arms. Tears soak in his blue shirt hitting his broad chest.
“No husband should do this to the woman he loves Ororo don’t you understand?”
“James I don’t know if the loves me or not but I do know he makes a good home for us.”

“What does that matter Ororo when he’s beating you? Does Remy know about this?” he turns to get his cell phone.
“James no please do not call Remy. I have to make plans to leave.”
“Plans what plans?” he looks at her.
“Come sit down, see I have wanted out of this marriage from the start but I had Kendall and I know what it is like to not have a whole family. After what happened last year I knew I had to leave him no matter what.” James turns to Ororo.
“Ororo he could kill you while all of this beating is taking place something could get out of hand. Wait a minute what happened last year?” he looks into her eyes she quickly looks away.

“He totally lost it one night and beat me til I was unconsince it took a while for me to regain conscience he was sitting on the bed beside me crying when I woke up swearing he wasn’t gonna do this to me again. I knew right then I had to leave but it just wasn’t time yet.”
“When is the right time Ororo?”
“Soon James soon. Please don’t tell Remy about this.”
“I can’t make any promises. Ororo please you and Kendall can come stay with me if you don’t have anywhere else to go please I can’t leave you here.”
“James this is something I must face alone please don’t tell anyone I will figure out a way.”
“Let me give you some money and you can go and get a hotel room tonight please.” looking deep in her golden eyes.
“No thanks James I will be alright. No go on your meeting with Remy.”
“How can I leave you here?”
While pulling away from him “Easy please leave.”
He Munroe’s out of the house and speeds out of the driveway on his way he calls Remy.

”Hey Remy change of plans meet me at my house ASAP its about Ororo.”
“What’s wrong you sound upset.” hailing a taxi.
“It’s Ororo I can’t talk over the phone please met me at home.”
James pulls into his driveway and fixes himself a drink and plops down on his couch. He hears the phone ringing and goes to answer it.
“Hello.”
“Hello James I didn’t think you would be there I was just going to leave you a message.”
“Well I’m not feeling like eating now. What’s wrong?”
“I know what you’re thinking James but I will be alright don’t worry okay.”
“I will always worry hey someone is at the door I’ve gotta go.”
“Okay bye.”

She hangs up the phone and Kendall enters the room.
“Mommy are we going to eat now.”
“Right now baby right now. Come sit down.”
“Mommy where’s daddy?”
“He’s working late honey now eat.”
After Kendall is finished she tucks her into bed and washes the dishes then prepares to go to bed. Later at James’s he had just finished telling Remy what he saw.
“I’m telling you Remy she had black and blue bruises all over her back some look like they were days old some looked new.”
“And you just left her there James!”
“She threw me out, she said she had some plan and she was not ready to leave yet.”
“Well let me go and see if I can convince her.” James gabs his arm “Man get off me!” Remy screams at James.

“Look she won’t leave I told her to come here and stay with me. Maybe with the talk we had she will come over let’s just let her make up her mind.”
“I thought you cared about her James.”
“I do but we don’t want her to runaway we want to help her right?”
“Right that’s why I’m going over to get her and Kendall!”
“Wait let’s just let her come to us because if we don’t she will just go back over and over to him. Remember my sister Christina?”
“Yes oh I’m sorry man. I forgot you have dealt with this before.”

“Yeah no matter how many times we went and forced her to come with us she always went back to him until he beat her so no one will ever recognized her again and she won’t even know the people who come and see her every Sunday, her parents.”
“Man I’m sorry, so what do we do now?”
“We talk to her let her know we are here for support. Do you think her sister knows?”
“Probably no Emma and Ororo are not really close like sister should be.”
“But she’s paying her way through school.”
“Because she fells obligated to do so she is a product of an affair her father had she was born 5 months after his death.”
“So what does that have to do with anything.”
“Around the time Ororo started to work here comes this woman with a 18 year old Emma and tells Ororo how this was her dad’s child also and he must have left something in his will for her also.”
“Will what will?”

“Oh I didn’t tell you Ororo is a multimillionaire, her father owned a Pharmaceutical company.”
“A what?”
“A pharmaceutical company she still owns 57% of the company. This woman does not have to work.”
“I can’t believe this, why is she staying there with this jerk?”
“It must be something legal. Didn’t she say she had a plan?”
“Yeah she did, I wonder what it is?”
“Well I know he can’t get the company because he signed a prenup agreement before marrying her, that was a must.”
“This does not make any sense as to why she had to work to pay for her sister’s tuition! It must be something legal. I’ll ask her tomorrow.” Remy turns to leave “Hey man thanks for telling me.”

“I’m worried about her too Remy we will both help her and Kendall anyway we can.”
“Thanks.” Remy leaves.
Ororo was in a light sleep when she hears the door close to one thirty a.m. and she thinks that must be one hell of a case he is working on. She turns over to face the window. Her mind wonders on James and the hurt he had on his face when he left she can still fell his massive arms surrounding her while he consoled her. Victor bumps into the files in the foyer area. He wonders who’s been in the house. His temper flares as he enters the bedroom and turns on the light. He grabs Ororo out of the bed and violently shakes her and pulls her onto the floor.
“Who in the hell did you have in this house while I wasn’t here!” startled she screams.

“Victor no! Please don’t hit me it was Dr. James he was just dropping some files off for me to finish for Remy!”
Slapping her “I told you no one is to be here when I am no here! Understand me!” as he strikes her chest. He then hits her in the stomach “Why do you make me do this to you!”
She tries to fight back by jumping back on him, but her one hundred and thirty pounds is no match for his one ninety. He quickly grabs her around her neck and punches her face.

“Please Victor go back to that woman! Please stop hitting me!” But he loses all control. Before because he did not want anyone to see the bruises he hit her only on her back and arms but now he just keeps punching her trying to hurt her in the worst possible way. Until he realizes she is not moving or sobbing anymore he looks down and sees her limp body slide to the floor. Just then he hears a soft cry and he turns around to see Kendall there in her nightgown crying.
“Daddy what’s wrong with Mommy?”
“On she isn’t feeling well she will be alright come on Princess let’s just go back to bed.”
He carries her back to bed and then he returns to the bedroom and he still sees that she hasn’t moved from the floor he checks to see if she is still breathing. He places her back in the bed and takes a shower then races over to the office apartments that they keep for special clients.
“Damn it Victor you should not have lost your cool son.” his father Michael Creed says.
“Dad I know but what am I going to do?”
“In the morning you going back over there with flowers and a special gift for her and Kendall do you hear me!”
“Yes dad.”

“You are going to have to make this up to her remember the practice is not doing well and you love the money son so do me and your mother.”
“Yes dad.” he hangs up the phone and relaxes. Being a bully is not in his nature but its in his fathers.
Kendall walks back into her parent’s bedroom and sees her mother in bed but does not see her daddy. She proceeds to go and wake up her mommy when she sees the blood. She starts to cry but she knows what to do. She looks for numbers and calls Dr. James first because he is first on the list.
“Hello” she hears a sleepy mans voice answers the phone.
“Hello my name is Kendall Creed I live at 245 Chestwood Lane and my mommy is hurt.”

“Kendall hey this is Dr. James” he turns on a lamp “I met you earlier today what’s wrong?” he gets up and starts to put on some clothes.
“Mommy is bleeding and she’s making a funny groaning sound but she won’t open her eyes.”
He panics “Okay Kendall hang up the phone when I ring the doorbell answer it okay?”
“Okay.” she hangs up the phone and she waits to hear the doorbell ring. When she hears it she runs down to answer it.
“Hello Dr. James, mommy is in the bedroom.” he looks into the eyes of Kendall and he feels some kind of connection with her but he can’t place it.
“Kendall please answer the door when Dr. Remy comes in okay.”
“Is mommy alright?” with tears in her eyes.
“Yes she will be fine baby but please go in your room and listen out for the door.” he kisses her forehead and heads toward the bedroom.
“Okay.”

James rushes over to Ororo and he checks for a pulse. “Good she has one” he thinks.
“Ororo” he says gently touching her arm “Ororo please answer me its James.” she responds by moaning.
“James what are you doing here?” she tries to turn her head “Why is my head throbbing, what’s wrong?”
“You tell me Ororo are you feeling where I am touching you? Does that hurt?”
“Yes I feel that what’s wrong? Why are you here?” as she tries to get out of bed.
“Good well nothing is broken. Ororo why did you let it go this far? Remy will be over here in a minute.”
“It’s just some bruises on my back, that’s all.”

“You don’t remember come lets go in the bathroom.” he gently picks her up and carries her into the bathroom. She turns and looks at herself in the mirrors.
“Oh my God! He promised me not to do this! He promised me! James please help me!” she slowly slides to the floor and James picks her up and holds her. Victor had beaten her face so much so that she had a busted lip, two black eyes, and a cut on her left cheek and her neck and arms had bruises all over them. James fells her head and she winces in pain when he touches the knot on her head.
“Ouch James!”
“Do you want to go to the hospital or call the police?”
“I don’t want either on please James.....”
The doorbell rings and Kendall goes to answer it.
“Hey sweet cheeks where’s your mommy and James?”

“In mommy’s bedroom.” grabbing Remy’s arm.
“Come on let’s go see what’s wrong.”
“Okay.” she raises her arms for him to pick her up.
“Where’s your dad at baby?"
“He left I think he was here because he put me in the bed. But he is not in the room with mommy.” she explains her eyes filled with tears.
Remy looks at her and gently hugs her “It’s alright baby.”
He carries Kendall into the bedroom when he sees Ororo’s face he goes enraged with anger. He puts Kendall in her room and rushes back to Ororo and James.
“What in the hell happened!” he says as he rushes over to the bed.
“He beat her all over, but she will be okay. I just want to get her out of here.”

“Okay I will get Kendall ready.”
Finally speaking “Hey isn’t anyone gonna ask me what I want?”
James responds “Let’s just face it Ororo I’m gonna pack you some clothes and you and Kendall will be staying with me for a while alright? Remy and me will not leave you here do you understand!” feeling as if she had been defeated she just lays back onto her pillow and sighs then she starts to cry.
“Alright James let me get up and get some things packed.” he helps her up.

The next morning Victor wakes up to the alarm going off. “Damn what time is it?” he looks over “Nine-thirty well I overslept. I know she won’t be going to work today not after the way I pounded her in the face. Victor why did you lose control like that. This is gonna take some serious make up and a lot of begging.” he gets up and takes a shower “damn my hand still hurts.” he looks at his hand “I hope I didn’t break anything. I wonder how her face is?” he puts on his clothes and goes to buy some roses and to the jewelry store. “I hope this will satisfy her.” he says as he walks out of the jewelry store.

Chapter 2
James enters the bedroom where Kendall is sleeping he can’t explain why he feels drawn to this little girl but it’s something there.
“Hey Kendall you’re up already?”
“Yea” she smiles and her eyes light up.
“Alright then let’s get ready for school okay?”
She jumps out of bed but she gets a funny look on her face, James smiles as he sees her face.
“Dr. James is mommy okay?”

James goes and picks her up.
“Yeah she is. Is that what’s worrying you?”
“Yeah, when are we going back home?”
“I don’t know yet. Let’s get you ready fro school and we will stop at a bakery to get you something sweet. How does that sound?”
Her eyes had a sparkle to them as her mouth curls up on the edges “Alright but I wanna see mommy before I leave.”

“She’s sleeping right now hon but we will call her when we are on our way.” satisfied with his answer he goes to the bathroom to get ready. James walks down the hall to check on Ororo. He sees her long sleek white hair spread over the pillow and her pecan skin glowing in the sunlight. He glances at the two mounds that rise and fall with each breath she takes. After he and Remy worked on her face it didn’t look as bad today but she will still be in pain for quite a while. He felt a surge in his body to protect this woman at all cost. If only she knew he has loved her for eight long years. James wanted to caress her smooth skin and kiss her from head to toe and make love to her until their bodies burned from the hot passionate love they created. James noticed coming from his dream Ororo was looking at him smiling.
“What are you smiling at Ororo?” looking at her with his piercing gray eyes.
“You might want to go and take a cold shower before you burst through your shorts.” she thinks as she looks down at him. Ororo thought my god this man is gorgeous those nice gray eyes that tanned smooth skin his riot of black curls cut on his head. His massive arms and legs she want those wrapped around her body. She couldn’t believe that she wanted him this bad.

“Ororo your face looks good this morning. I’m taking Kendall to school and I will be back in thirty minutes okay. We need to talk.”
“But James you don’t have to I can take her.” she tries to get out of bed and James rushes over to her.
“Hey don’t even think about it. Just lay back in bed and I will be back shortly.” he kisses he forehead. Both feel a surging heat between them with Ororo recuperating first.
“Okay James, I can at least fix you some breakfast.”
“Honey I’m bringing breakfast to you.”
Not realizing what he just called her he strides out the door.
Later Victor arrives home with a bouquet of roses and an expensive diamond bracelet. He thinks what he needs to say.

“Ororo baby where are you?”
He runs to the bedroom to check her where abouts. Looking at his watch he thinks she must have taken Kendall to school but its late I wonder where she is. Victor’s mind starts to race he reaches for the phone.
“Michael Creed please.”
“Dad!”
“Victor what’s wrong?”
“I can’t find her she is not here!”
“How bad did you hurt her?”
“I don’t think it was that bad she was gonna feel worse this morning.”
“Where’s Kendall?”
“She is at school but I don’t know where Ororo could be. Both cars are here.”
“Well that means she is at someone’s house.”
“But who could that be?”

Just then, James rides past Ororo’s house he was going over to pick up some more clothes but he saw Victor’s car and decides against it. It took all the strength he had not to stop but he knew Ororo would get upset if he did beat up Victor. When he arrived at his home, he realized that Ororo was in his home waiting for him. A smile went from ear to ear.

He enters his home and hears a honey drip voice singing upstairs he goes to put breakfast down and heads to the sweet singing voice that is emanating from the guest bathroom. He pauses at the door which is slightly ajar and takes in the sweet jasmine smell that comes from there. He hears the old R&B tune pouring from her velvety throat. James feels his pleasure spot about to burst from his shorts again so he steals away from the door and thinks about doing a rhinoplasty which calms him down. He hears the water shut off and he finishes setting out breakfast and yells upstairs to her.
“Hey Ororo I’m back do you want to come down for breakfast or do you want me to bring it up?”
“I’m coming down.” she looks in her bag and laughs at what James and Remy packed for her. She finally finds something that matches and walks downstairs. Ororo realizes she must tell James everything. When she walks into the kitchen she sees James in a white muscle shirt and tight blue jeans desperately trying to squeeze fresh orange juice.
“Here let me help you.”
“I got it! I got it! Please sit down I want to have a look at your face before we eat.”

James looks at her and being just inches from her his heart starts to pound faster. He thinks surely she can hear my heart beating like this. James checks her “Do you feel any pain here?”
“Just a little its not bad though.”
“Well you should be completely by the end of the week.”
Ororo grabs his hands “Thank you James for all that you have done for me.”
“There’s no need for you to thank me...”
She puts her finger to his lips “I feel as if I should come clean with everything.”
He looks into her eyes and wonders why a man would do this to a beautiful woman. He wipes his hands on his jeans and directs her to a chair.
“Come what’s all this about?” breathing a heavy sigh she looks at him wondering if she should tell him this.

“James the reason why I didn’t leave Victor is that when we got married the stipulation on the prenup he signed was that he will get half of what I was worth if I divorced him during a certain period of time..”
“What the hell are you talking about you took all this damn abuse because of you fucking money!”
Seeing the hurt in his eyes “James listen to me!”
James had gotten up and turned his back to her. She got up and touched his massive shoulders she felt him tense but he relaxed at her touch. James felt the touch and wanted so desperately to pull her in his arms but something kept him from doing it.
“Please listen it’s not me that I was worried about nor the money he can have all of it. I know he does love Kendall and she loves him. I wanted my marriage to work because of Kendall.”
James turns to see her face covered in tears and he gently wipes them away. He pulls her in his arms.

“Don’t cry ‘Ro I know you loved him.” hoping that only loved him and not still in love with him. “But ‘Ro please don’t go back to him please.”
“James I don’t know what to do but go back my lawyers are trying to draw up the papers for a divorce but they don’t want to alert him before it is time.”
“You can stay here don’t go back.” he grasps her into his arms. She can feel his heartbeat.
“You are so kind James but we can’t intrude on you.” he pulls back hoping on this chance of a lifetime.
“Kendall and you are not intruding please stay here with me this house is so empty with just me.” she sat back down considering her options.
“James I really have money to get us somewhere to stay.”

“Hey look I really want you to.” his insides told him that she would say yes. Ororo knew she could not say no to those gorgeous grey eyes.
“Alright if you don’t mind.” she looks around the kitchen “Well the first thing I need to do is get more clothes for Kendall and Kendall. I don’t mean any harm but the clothes Remy and you packed aren’t exactly fashion conscience.” laughing at James.
“Okay look we were in a hurry are you thinking of going back to the house?”
“Yes I’m gonna have to.” she suddenly feels the heat coming from him. She tries to move quickly upstairs. James reaches out to grab her arm and Ororo puts her hands up.
“Hey you will never have to worry about me laying my hands on you never.” as he cups her face.
“I know but James you don’t know what it was like always having my guard up.” he sees her eyes mist up.

“Hey let’s not dwell on it look when I passed by your house this morning I saw Victor’s car home.”
“Oh what possessed you to drive by this morning?”
“I was gonna try and get you some more decent clothes but he was home. I don’t think you need to go there alone.”
“I can’t run forever James I’ve got to settle this.” she starts to think “I’m going to the lawyers this morning first but I’ve gotta go and get my car. Let me go and call a cab.” she pulls away from him and his heart aches for her.
“Hey I’m off today I will volunteer my services to you for the day.” he gives her his boyish smile and she realizes she can’t say no.
“Let me think on it while I’m upstairs.” she runs upstairs without letting him respond.

God what is happening to me Ororo thinks. This man has to have his own life with a female in it yet he wants to devote his time to Kendall and me. I can’t get attached and dependent on him I just got out of an awful relationship and I don’t think I need to jump into another one. She picks up the phone to place four phone calls.
“Marie Matthews please.”
“Just one moment.” she hears the elevator music play and then a click.
“This is Marie Matthews.”
“Hey Marie its me ‘Ro.” she hears Marie gasp on the phone.
“Hi mom I can’t talks right now it seems something has happened to Ororo and Victor and me are trying to put our heads together to find her.” wondering what the hell is going on she realizes what Marie is telling her.

“Okay Marie tell him anything but just to let you know me and Kendall are fine we are at a friends house I want you to call me on my cell phone after he leaves bye.”
“Alright mom I will call you back when we get some info I’m sure she’s alright don’t worry mom.”

They hang with each other. Ororo is worried as to what he has been doing lately. She immediately call the lawyers and makes an appointment in thirty minutes. ‘Ro knows the neighbors will tell Victor that she was there if they see her so she decides to let James drive her around. She goes downstairs dressed in a pink velvet jumpsuit in which the pants are hip huggers when she sees that James has changed into some jeans and a nice blue polo shirt. When he turns around to see her his heart nearly stopped, he could not believe even with all the slight bruises on her face she was still beautiful he wanted her. He knew she would be his lover, wife and the mother of their children. When Ororo looked at James and saw his gaze upon her she had wished that all her problems would go away. She wanted his arms to wrap themselves around her one more time but they didn’t have time for that right now.
“Earth to Ororo. Earth to Ororo.”
He was laughing at her.
“Huh?”
Her eyes were gazing into his beautiful grey eyes.
“Where’s your head at? Where are we going to?”
“Oh!”
Coming back to her senses.
“Well I have to go to the lawyer’s office first.”
“Well let’s get a move on then.”
They head outside and get into his classy BMW.

While at the lawyers she visits her favorite attorney of Brown, Michelson and Xavier, Charles Xavier he was a friend of her fathers and her guardian who raised her so she trusted him.
“Do you want me to sit out here?”
James says.
“No please come in with me.”
She grabs his arm.
They walk into Xavier’s office and she gently takes off her scarf.
“My, my, my what was so urgent Ororo?”
Charles asks then he sees her face.
“Who in the hell did this to you Ororo!”
He roars, he quickly comes around his desk to look at her face.
“Charles it’s not that as bad as it looks.”
“The hell it isn’t Ororo! Did Victor do this to you!”
She shakes her head yes.
“Damn him this time are you going to leave!”
“Yes Charles the time is not.”

She plops into the leather chair and turns her head toward James.
“Charles this is my dearest friend Dr. James Logan.”
He extends his hand out to James.
“Hello Dr. Logan it’s nice to meet you, but I wished it was under better circumstances.”
“I wish it was too. Kendall called last night and I went over to find her badly beaten.”
“Listen Charles how soon can we get everything together?”
She massages her temples.
“Well how soon do you want it?”
Charles pulls out her file.
“By the end of the day Charles.”
She shrugs her shoulders.
“Ororo I don’t know if I can have all of it together by today.”

“Look Charles I want the petition for custody of Kendall and divorce ASAP can you do that Charles?”
She looks him in the eyes.
“That can be done by today. Just remember the business and other assets will be unavailable by tomorrow.”
“The credit cards and the cars can that be shut down now?”
“I would not advise that but I see about the credit cards but cars no.”
He says as he looks into her file.
“So what do you advise her to do now?”
James asks curiously. Her head aches and her body aches all over the room is spinning she tries to get her bearings. The gentlemen do not see her.
“Well I certainly do not advise going back to the house right now.”

They both look at Ororo and James sees the color has drained from her face. He quickly goes over to her, gently cupping her face with his smooth hands he looks deep into her eyes.
“Ororo are you alright? Here lay down on the couch.”
He guides her onto the couch.
“James I’m alright I just need to get out of here.”
“Charles can you have the necessary papers delivered to my home today? They are staying with me here’s my address.”
He quickly writes down his address.
“Yes I will I want you to call me later on today Ororo.”
“Alright Charles.”

They go down to the car and he quickly drives home. As they enter the house, she runs to the bathroom and as soon as she get on the toilet, she feels a warm gush. She wipes and sees what she already suspects she will see blood. She looks in the toilet and sees the fetus in the bowl. Her mind races and she calls out to James and her runs into the bathroom.
“What’s wrong?”
She collapses in his arms that when he sees the blood coming from her.
“Oh my god we have got to get you to the hospital now Ororo.”
She grabs his arm.
“No James no it will subside please no we can handle this.”
“Baby we have to run some tests on you he could have done some internal damage.”
“No I’m fine I just need to rest.”
He picks her up and their lips gently pass over each other. James feels as if his body is on fire.

“Baby let’s get you cleaned up and then you can rest. I will go and pick up Kendall.”
As they climb into the shower stall together. She turns into his arms and he tries to give her a shower without thinking about her naked body against his clothed body. After her shower he takes, her to bed and when he gets her settled she caresses his face.
“Thank you James for everything.”
A tear escapes her eye and falls down her cheek. He reaches for her face and wipes it away.
“You are welcomed for everything.”
Chapter 3
Victor was pacing the floor trying to think where she could be. I have to find her he thinks.
He places a call to Dr. Remy Lebeau.
“Yes may I please talk to Dr. Lebeau please.”
“Yes one moment please.”

He thumbs his fingers on the counter while he waits.
“Hello this is Dr. Lebeau how may I help you.”
“Remy this is Victor.”
Remy balls his fist tightly.
“Hello Victor how may I help you?”
“Look um you haven’t seen Ororo today have you?”
Remy could hear the fear in his voice and at that second he wanted to jump through the phone and put his hands around his throat and choke him to death.
“Seen Ororo? No I haven’t seen her in a day or two but I have talked to her earlier this morning about some charts she was working on for me why?”
Damn Victor says to himself.
“Did she say if she was coming in today?”
“No she didn’t say why is there something wrong?”
“No there isn’t well I’ve got to go thank you.”
Victor hears the doorbell and goes to answer it and sees Charles standing in front of him.
“Hello Charles come in.”
Charles comes in and takes off his hat.
“What can I do for you Charles? Ororo is not here.”
Charles clears his throat.
“Well son I know Ororo is not here she came to see me today.”
“She did where is she now?”
Charles could hear the fear in his voice.
“Victor you could be a great lawyer if you didn’t let your temper get the best of you.”
“What did that lying bitch tell you!”
Victor says as he moves closer to Charles.
“Wait a minute I have known Ororo since she was a little girl I don’t want to ever hear you call her that again! Look I just came by to give you these papers she had drawn up for you.”
He hands the petitions over to Victor who grasped them. Victor reads over the documents and he feels his anger level rise a few more degrees. ‘If she thinks she is leaving me she has another thing coming damn her!’
“I know she’s not trying to leave me?’ he says looking at Charles. ‘What the hell is she thinking she can’t leave me!”
“Look son its over just accept it. She’s trying to make a better life for her and Kendall so let her! Read the petitions carefully and be smart and follow the rules. Victor after what I have seen of the damage you done to her face you better understand me!”
“She told you I did that! What a fucking lie! I have not touched her. Do you honestly believe I would do that!”
Charles turns and puts on his hat to leave but before he does he says.
“Son I suggest you leave this home before tomorrow I’m giving you twenty-four hours to be gone and listen I don’t’ want nothing broken or no one harmed while you pack. Good day to you Victor.”
He closes the door.
Victor’s mind was raging he just didn’t know what he was going to do. So he called his father dreading every minute of the conversation.
“Hello father we have a problem. You have to come over here now.”
“What’s the problem? Has she come back yet?”
“No that’s the problem but you have to come over now!”
“Alright son me and your mother will be there soon.”
He gets another call while his is waiting on his parents.
“Yes this Victor Creed.”
“Hi honey its me Jean.”
“What in the hell are you calling me here for Jean?”
Starting to pout “Well I just thought you would want to know about Kendall! But if you don’t well goodbye!”
“No wait! What about Kendall!”
Feeling as if she had won. Sensing there is trouble in paradise. “Well I just called to tell you this very handsome man came and picked her up.”
“What!” he almost dropped the phone.
“Yes he just came by here and they left a few minutes ago.”
“Did you talk to Kendall like I told you?”
“Just calm down. I did talk to her but I didn’t get any information out of her.”
“She wouldn’t tell you anything?”
“No she wouldn’t honey do you need me?”
“No I will call you later my parents are coming over.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes I am sure.”
While riding home from school with James, Kendall is worried about not seeing her daddy so she decides to ask him to take her to him.
“Dr. James can we o by my house to see my daddy?”
“Well honey I’m afraid not right now you will probably have to ask your mother alright?” Right now his mind was thinking about Ororo and the miscarriage she just had. He saw a burger joint and decided to stop there and get them something to eat and he could catch up with Remy.
“Hey Remy.”
“Hey I called earlier but no one answered the phone. What have the two of you been up to?”
“Well we went by her lawyers this morning and she has started proceedings for divorce.”
“What is it James you sound funny.”
“Well I think she must have miscarried this morning after coming back from the meeting.”
“She what!”
“She miscarried I suspect the fetus was probably three months old. But that’s just an estimate only. I did manage to save the fetus I want you to come by and get it later to run some test on it.”
“Oh my god how is she?”
“She’s drained Remy I don’t really know how much more she can take could you write her a prescription for Valium and bring it tonight.”
Six months later Ororo and Kendall had settled in their new arrangement of living after moving away from New York to Chicago. She looks over how her life has changed in the past six months. She went through a very public divorce with Victor in which she got to keep her company but lost a small fortune. She did get to keep full custody of Kendall in which Jonathan got two weekends a month but that was alright she figured. She sold her beautiful home but all the bad memories she just could not stay there any longer. But the new occupants surprised her Victor and his new bride Jean. Ororo felt as if she had a new lease on life with Kendall. The only thing she felt regret on was leaving James behind.
“Hey James what’s up?” Remy said one cheerful morning.
“I’m fine just thinking.” He sighs
“Let me guess it’s Ororo right?”
“How did you guess?” he picks up a file to read not with his mind on working.
“It’s all over your face when was the last time you talked to her?” sitting down eating a bagel.
“Just last week she sounded good though.” Just then the door opens and a nurse comes in with a file for Remy.
“Doctor this file came for you but its funny its from six months ago.”
“Six months ago?”
“Yes sir the genetist jus finished with it yesterday.”
“Thank you Sinclair.”
“Your welcome.” As she headed out the door.
Remy reads the file and then looks at James.
“What’s wrong Remy?” James says with a question on his face.
“You know I had a genetist to do testing on the fetus that Ororo miscarried.”
“Yes I remember now what’s wrong?”
“Well looking at this” he hands the file to James “Well this can’t be right there’s only one way that this could happen.”
“Yes I think so let’s call Dr. Lee on the this she could possibly give us some more insight on what has happened.”
“Well hello you two your both lucky that I was free to see you. What’s up?”
“We just got the results back from the fetus we sent you.”
“Oh that well your friend’s body had no choice but to miscarry because of the genetic make up. I did run the results on the mother but I didn’t get the father’s make up.”
“So how was her make up?” James asked.
“She was fine so I concluded that it was the father who genetic make up was weird. The man may never produce a child of his own.”
“That can’t be right because they have one.”
“That’s impossible he can’t possibly produce a healthy child.”
“Well this couple has a little girl.”
Dr. Lee clears her throat “Well it’s not her husband’s child.”
James’s mind thinks back to college when the two of them were together. Maybe……. Oh hell now I used protection but there was that one time that night when it BROKE!

He gets up and proceeds to leave out of the office with Remy right behind him.
“Hey where in the hell are you going!” Remy says breathing out hard.
“I’m going to tell ‘Ro about the results.”
“Why is it your concern?”
“Because I love her damn it and if she has been hiding something from me all this time!” He runs his hands through his hair.
“Well call me later.”
“I will.”
James takes off for the airport. On the flight, he thinks back on that fateful day.
She knocked on James and Remy’s apartment door late that night. When James opens the door he sees her standing there, dripping wet from head to toe crying. He had his date over Mariko and they were just about to head towards his bedroom before she knocked.
“Ororo come in!” he looked at her
“Remy this time it’s over! I mean it!” she barges into the apartment and that is when she looks up and sees James looking at her mesmerized by her beauty.
“Oh I’m sorry James is Remy here?” she looks around and sees the candles and the glasses of wine.
“I interrupted something I’m sorry.” Then she sees Mariko from the bedroom looking at her.
James takes her arm “No wait here.” He goes back into the bedroom with Mariko and tells her that Ororo was like Remy’s little sister and they would have to catch up later. After Mariko leaves and Ororo breaks down.
“James I can’t stay like this anymore he’s just not making me happy.”
“Who Victor what did he do?” she cries some more on his shoulder. He breaks out in a sweat as he feels her body next to his.
“I just caught the bastard cheating on me again!” He looks into her blue eyes “Again?”
“James I just don’t know what to do.” She walks over to the window. He walks behind her “First of all we are gonna get you out of these wet clothes.”
She raises a snowy eyebrow at him, which makes James smile.
“I mean you can change and we will dry these clothes and you can put on my robe there’s no telling where Remy’s is.” She smiles.
“Now that’s what I like to see on your face come on into the bathroom.”
She followed him into the bathroom and changed she heard R. Kelly ‘Seems Like Your Ready’ in the living room. The lights were turned down low and she saw his beautiful physic silhouetted at the window when he looked up to see her in the dim light.
“I thought you would be more comfortable in this lighting.” She laughed.
“It seems as if you are trying to seduce me Logan.”
Later the two are sitting down with her drinking a glass of wine and him drinking a beer telling each other about their experiences as college students. The next thing they are kissing each other and James kisses the nape of her neck when he picks her up and carries her to his bedroom. After undressing, her he takes her Hershey colored nipple in his mouth and Ororo let us out a moan. He moves his hands down and touches her soft warm mound and caresses her there and then plunges two fingers in which she lets out another moan.
“Logan please I need you now!” she moans.
“Not now ‘Ro come for me.” He growls out and she obeys screaming out his name in the process.
“Logan pleaseeeee…….” He silences her with a scorching kiss.
She reaches down and gently wraps her hands around his manhood and she massages it ever so gently getting him to let a growl. He gently enters her and she moans louder telling him to go harder and faster. And he gives her what she wants but what either didn’t know that on his final thrust that the condom broke just as he erupted spilling all his sweet nectar inside of her. Both lay there gasping for air and when he finally exits her, he realizes that the condom broke.
“Ummmmm ‘Ro we have a problem.”
She looks gently into his eyes “It’s alright I’m on the pill and I trust you.”
“I’m truly sorry.” She cups his face.
“I said its okay. That was incredible.” He turns to her “Oh it was?” Well let’s see if we can try for another incredible session.” From that time on, they spent a wonderful four weeks together until she broke it off from him and went back to Victor.
He snaps out of his daydream as he gets off his flight and figures out what to say to Ororo when he pulls up to her driveway. He almost knocks on her door when Kendall runs right into him.
“Hey hey darling where are you going so fast?” he laughs at her as he captures her in his arms.
“Hi Dr. James I was just going over to the neighbors house to play.” He puts her down and she looks up at him. Why hadn’t he seen it before she had the prettiest grey eyes that he had ever seen before she had to be his child but he thought back and he knew Victor had grey eyes too.
“Where’s your mommy baby?”
“She’s in the living room laying down she said she wasn’t feeling well.”
“What’s been going on Kendall?” they go into the house to look to Ororo and as they enter the living room James could feel his heart drop as he sees her laying there on the couch. Kendall was just about to wake her when he stops her.
“Kendall honey why don’t you go on over to your friends house and play. I’m gonna fix dinner for the two of you.”
“Okay are you staying over?”
“I might it depends. Don’t stay too long if so I might have to give you a tickle operation.”
He races over to her and she runs out the front door.
Later that evening Ororo wakes up smelling Chicken Stir-Fry her favorite. She jumps up and runs into the kitchen and sees a tall muscular white man with his back to her at the sink.
“Who the hell are you?” she says prepared to fight.
“My, my, my how soon we forget.” Upon hearing his voice, she knew it was Logan.
“James what are you doing here?” she goes over to the sink hugs him. “Where’s Kendall?”
“I have to talk to you about something and she upstairs getting cleaned up for dinner.”
“You have been busy can I help you with anything?”
“Go get cleaned up dinner will be ready in five minutes.” He smacks her on the hips with a towel. She giggles all the way up the stairs feeling like a teenager again. Ten minutes later, they are all sitting down at the table having a nice sociable dinner. Later after putting Kendall to bed, James comes downstairs to see Ororo finishing up the dishes. He grabs her soapy hands and dries them off for her and leads her toward the den.
“Ororo we have to talk.”
“I figured as much what about Logan.”
“I came all this way because Remy and I had some test run six months ago on the fetus that you miscarried.”
“What’s wrong Logan?”
“The test proved that genetically you could not have carried the baby to full term.”
“What?” she clutches her neck and shakes her head.
“Well it seems as if Victor’s genetic are some how preventing him from having children.”
She laughs “Well the test were wrong he has a child and she right upstairs.” She walks over to the bay window and looks out toward the lake that is behind her house.
“’Ro look at me the genetics ran the test twice and the result were conclusive. That child upstairs could not possibly be his.”
She turns to slap him but stops herself. “But the only other person who I slept with was…….” She looks into James’ eyes finally realizing why he came.
“The only other person was you.”
“I knew that ‘Ro” He grabs her in his arms and they sit down on the sofa while she gently cries. “It’s going to be alright ‘Ro I promise.”
“James I’m so sorry please forgive me.”
“Shh” He cuts her off “I know you didn’t know either baby e have got to go and get a paternity test done. To rule out Victor as her father.”
“I don’t want to involve Victor in this James.”
“We have to his name is on her birth certificate I want it off.” She looks at the determination in his eyes and knows he will not change it.
“Oh my god how am I going to explain this to Kendall and Victor?”
He grabs her in his arms “With me by your side all the way baby we will do this together.”
It was almost one in the morning before he got Ororo calm down enough to sleep. The next morning James awoke to two big beautiful grey eyes looking at him.
“Hello Dr. James!” she smiled at him with two front teeth missing.
“Hey Kendall what are you doing up so early?”
“I thought maybe we could fix mommy some breakfast like we use to do.”
“Oh Syd that would be great. I tell you what you go and get dressed and I’ll get ready too and I will meet you downstairs in ten minutes.”
“Okay ten minutes.”
James has a sense of pride well up inside of him as he looks at the eight year old who just bounced out of the room. He heads to the bathroom to take a shower and when he comes out with a towel wrapped around his waist runs his hands through his hair when the suddenly turns around and sees Ororo standing there looking at him.
“My , My what do we have here?” she says with a twinkle in her eye.
“I just feel so good today because today I am a man with a child, a daughter.” He walks over to Ororo and kisses her passionately.
“Whoa big boy calm down.” He looks deeply into Ororo’s eyes.
“Ororo I have never stopped loving you and I want to start a life with you and Kendall this is a chance that we have to take.”
“James I just don’t ……” he puts his fingers to her lips.
“Listen to me When we were in college I should not have given up on us so easily. I sill kick myself for that and sometimes I feel as if I am to blame for your marriage to Victor.”
“James don’t blame yourself please. We both made some mistakes back then we will just not try and make them now.”
She pulls away from him but he holds her tighter.
“You don’t think I will ever let you go do you?”
Ororo had wanted to hear him say those words for so long. She realized then and there that she never really stopped loving James and she wanted him with her forever.
“James we have a lot to do this situation will not go away smoothly. Remember we have to deal with Victor he does love her.”
“I don’t give a damn about Victor!” He feels Ororo get rigid in his arms. He then bends down and kisses her softly on the lips which unleashes a passion through them both and soon they have to stop when they hear a sweet angelic giggle at the door. They both stop and James looks over Ororo’s shoulder to see Kendall looking at them.
“Kendall is that you?” they hear another giggle. He whispers to Ororo “Please don’t move right now my friend is at attention.” Ororo looks down and laughs.
“Kendall can you go downstairs and wait on me I will be there in five minutes.”
“Okay Dr. James.”
Ororo looks at him. “Things have changed now Logan you are a dad.” He moves over to his suitcase and finds some jeans and black t-shirt.
“Hey get dressed and come down today baby let’s just have some fun.” He gave her a quick kiss and left the room. Ororo felt good all over but she knew she had to still face Victor.
On his way to work Victor’s cell phone rings.
“Hello Victor Creed here.”
“Hello Victor.”
“Ororo what do I owe the pleasure? Is Kendall alright?”
“Yes she is fine. Listen we are coming to New York next Wednesday.”
“What for?”
“We have to talk can you schedule us an appointment for Wednesday morning?”

“Yes that would be great!”
Victor and Kendall talk for twenty minutes and when they get off the phone he realizes that he misses his daughter.
Ororo looks out in the backyard and smiles as she sees James and Kendall playing together. She really looks at them and she sees some simularites between the two.
That night Kendall was leaving to go to spend the night at her friend Maya’s house.
“Hey ‘Ro we are ready come on let’s go.”
“I’m coming I’m coming.” She says as she comes down the stairs. When she looks up at James he was laughing which made her laugh too after realizing what she said. He goes to hug her and he whispers in her ear “I plan on trying to get you to say that all night long tonight.” He pulls back and winks at her.
After dropping Kendall off at her friend’s house, they head for the restaurant. They talk briefly about the future.
“James how much time did you take off from work?”
“I don’t have to be back until Thursday why? Are you ready for me to leave?”
“No” she answered quickly “I just wanted to know if we are keeping you from anything important that’s all.”
“Listen Ororo non thing is more important than you and Kendall right now and I mean that.” He turns back to face the road. There was silence until they enter the restaurant. After placing their order, they wait and chat about what’s up next.
“Ororo what are we going to do about maintaining a close knit family?”
“I don’t know we just moved here and we finally got settled but if push comes to shove we will make some kind of arrangements I’m sure.”
“What kind are you talking about?” he clasps his hands together under his chin.
He looks into Ororo’s eyes and knows soon he is going to ask her to marry him real soon. The gaze is broken as the waiter brings their food. They both laugh and talk while they are eating once they are finished James is ready to ravage her all night long.
“So are you ready to leave?” James asks her while he motions the waiter over to settle the bill.
“Whenever you are James.”
As they approach the house, Ororo realizes this is the first time they are alone since he has been here. She wonders who will make the first move. James opens the passenger door for her and they walk to the door with him gently putting his hand at the small of her back she feels on fire where he had touched her. As they enter the door, James turns her around to face him and he bends his head to meet hers. Ororo closes her eyes as she feels his warm sweet breath getting closer to her and she shivers when their lips touch. James pushes his warm tongue into her awaiting mouth and she greedily accepts it. Both feel on fire as they tug and pull every stitch of clothing they have on off. He lifts her into his arms and carries her to the bedroom where he lays her gently on the bed. He looks at her face and sees her eyes fill with tears.
Concerned he asks “Baby did I do something wrong?”
“No I’m just sorry for all of this that I have put you through James.” He gently wipes the tears away reassuring her he says “You should not be you knew no thing of it. I want us to start anew Ororo me and you. I love you and I want to show you how much tonight and every night from here on out.” He starts to kiss her again to reassure her and when the fire has been lit between them she was overflowing with her sweet nectar and he was solid as a statue. James stopped and asked “Do you want me to put on a condom ‘Ro?” she replied
“No I want to feel you James.” They continued he pressed the tip of his penis gently against her wet opening he pulled her hips up to meet with his and ever so gently pushed his way inside of her and she moaned in pleasure. He pushed deeper inside of her gliding in and out “James oh James faster James!” She glides her fingers across his back he moaned “Oh Ororo!” he goes faster and deeper. After he pulled out of her, they rested with her laying on his chest. James was breathing deeply and contented, Ororo lets a laugh escape her.
“Why are you laughing?” James asks looking at her head.

“You just took the best just now but if you wait it ain’t over yet.” He turns her onto her stomach and she gets up on all fours placing her behind right in front on James where he penetrates her and this time he moans louder than Ororo. Jean tosses and turns all night after Victor tells her that Ororo was coming to town. ‘What is she coming to my home for? And why are they talking and not me? I told Victor that I didn’t want the bitch in my home he ignored me. I wonder if he is still in love with her, he better not be! I’ve got to get pregnant ASAP so he will forget that brat Kendall and Ororo will never have a hold on him. I’ve got to come up with a plan to get them out of the way.’ She drifts off to sleep trying to come up with a plan.
James wakes up to see Ororo with her back to him breathing deeply. He touches her back and she turns over to him smiling “Good Morning.”
“Good Morning baby how are you this morning?”
“I feel good. So what are we doing today?” he puts his arms around her. “Why don’t we just lay here all day and make love.”
“I would love that but I’m hungry.” She says as she gets up. James reaches up to pull her back in the bed she smacks his hand from her and she goes into the bathroom and takes a shower. James hears the water turn on and Ororo humming he feels as if he could stay like this forever he calls Remy.
The phone rings three times then he hears his best friend pick up “Hello” Remy says groggily. “This better be important.”
“Is that how your mom taught you to answer the phone?”
“James! Where in the hell are you!”
“I’m still in Chicago.”
“So how are things going did you tell her?”
“Yeah I did.”
“So does she know who could be the father?”
Grinning “Yeah she does.”
“So who is it or do I even have to ask?”
“It’s me Remy! Kendall’s my daughter!”
“What are you going to do?”
“I’m a father Remy! Me a father!”
“It looks that way so are you gonna tell me or do I have to force it out of Ororo how this came about!”
“I’ll tell you the details later I just called to let you know what were going on here let me let you go Ororo’s got a beep.”
“Alright Goodbye.” James clicks over.
“Hello Creed residence.” James doesn’t hear anything but silence then he hears someone breathing and next a hang up. “That was strange.”

He thinks he shrugs his shoulders and gets up to join Ororo in the shower. He hears her sweet angelic voice as he enter the stall.
“I’m sorry babe her let me wash your back.” He takes the sponge and washes her and things get a little frisky in the shower.
Ororo wakes up and looks at the clock ‘My God its one o’clock in the afternoon I am starving.’ She gets out of bed and puts on her robe and goes downstairs to the kitchen.
James wakes up and sees Ororo is not there he puts on his robe and goes to the kitchen when he hears her on the phone.
“Charles will you get the necessary papers drawn up by Wednesday?”
“That you that would be great yes James’s here of course. No, I don’t know how I am going to tell Victor. I know it is dangerous to tell him alone but I will be okay. Yes I will call you when it’s over.” After a brief silence “No Charles my feelings for James are genuine I love him I know to be careful. You know James still has to tell his family about Kendall I don’t think they will be too happy after the last encounter with his mother. No, I have not told him that and I don’t plan on telling him I don’t want to cause a rift with his mother. I know Charles I hate keeping secrets but this just going to have to keep.”
James was outraged that she had kept something from him and his mind was searching on when she was even alone with his mother. Not wanting to eavesdrop anymore “Is there something you haven’t told me Ororo?” James says as he enters the kitchen. She turns around with a surprise look on her face. “Um Charles I will talk to you later this week goodbye.”
She hangs up the phone.
“James I didn’t hear you come down.” She places the food on the table. “Please sit down let’s eat.” She says nervously.
“Not until you tell me what in hell you are keeping from me!” she hears the slight anger in his voice.
“James what I said on the phone happened a long time ago. Let’s not dwell on it now come sit down to eat.” He grabs her and squeezes her arms with anger in his eyes “James please you’re hurting me!” Realizing that he turns her loose and runs his hands in his hair backing away from her “I’m sorry please tell me don’t keep any secrets from me Ororo tell me what happened a long time ago?”
Sitting down at the table, she breathes a sigh and slowly takes a deep breath to tell him the story. “Alright please sit.” James sits down across from her looking intently in her eyes “Remember when we were together in college…”
“Yeah so?” James says cutting her off.
“Well one day I went to the apartment because we were going out to eat but when I got there you were not there so I was cleaning up and I heard the doorbell ring.” She pauses and sees that he is intently looking at her waiting for her to finish.
“When I answered the door it was your parents. I let them in and they asked where you were I told them. We got to talking but they must have assumed that Remy and I were together because they told me that you told them about a girl named ‘Ro. When your mother said that I knew they were mistaken and I told them that was me. We talked a little more and I went to put some dishes in the sink and your mother followed me…...” she turned to go to the sink not wanting to look at James any longer.
“What happened ‘Ro? What did she say?” He grabbed her again.
“James why must you bring up the past its over and done with lets now start our future.” She said as she turned in his arms and looked into his face. However, when she did look in his face she saw that he wanted to know everything defeated she went on with the story.
“James she told me that you being a white doctor would never be looked at seriously with a black woman on his arm. She told me to stick with my own kind that there were plenty of professional black men I could grab a hold of. She said she did not think I would want to hurt your career would I? I told her now so I said my goodbyes and left. That is why I told you Victor had come by it is because I asked him to. I did not want to hurt you but I had to let you go. It was a few weeks later when I found out that I was pregnant but I told myself that it was Victor’s not yours and when Kendall was born the time calculated was when I was with Victor.” She goes out to the patio when she finishes the story leaving James in the kitchen to absorb what she just told him. Looking out into the backyard she breaths a sigh of relief for having finally getting that secret off of her chest but she still is tense because she knows that James would probably leave her. When instantly she hears the door open and James comes up behind her putting his arms around her and bringing her close to his body.
“‘Ro why were you not going to tell me this?” She could hear his heart in his voice.
“Because I didn’t want to cause a rift between your family. Please don’t be mad at me I have always loved you and at the time I believed in what she said.”
He caresses her arms and gently kisses the nape of her neck.
“Lady you have hurt me but I do understand that you have been hurt too. What about your meeting with Victor?”
“What about it?”
“There is no way I’m letting you go there alone no way! We will tell him together alright?” She turns into his arms to face him and she then feels absolutely safe at the moment.
“Alright James but what about your parents?” Right then she felt him tense up.
“I am going to handle them today get dressed they only live a few miles from here.”
“Are you sure? I mean what if…”
“Yes I’m sure I want them to meet the woman that has birthed their first grandchild and maybe will birth their second, third, fourth and so on.”
“Hey what are you talking about third, fourth and so on.” She says as she pinches him in his side.
“Oh just hopeful dreaming I guess. Come on let’s get dressed.” He kisses her and they go back in the house to the bedroom to get dressed.
Later they were sitting in the driveway of James’s parent’s house with the engine still running.
“Are you nervous James?”
“No I’m just trying to get my feelings in order concerning my mother.” She could see his muscles in his jaw twitch. Ororo grabs his hand “Just relax it will be okay I will stay in the car.”
James shakes his head “No you won’t you are coming with me let’s show a united front.”
“Aye Aye Captain.” She smiles saluting him. They get out of the car and head towards the front door of the large Victorian home with a wide wrap around porch. Ringing the doorbell, they wait a few seconds when an older man who looks a lot like James in thirty more years greets them.
“Hello son what are you doing ringing the doorbell?” the man grabs James into a big bear hug. “It’s been so long come in come in!” He then notices the beautiful ebony beauty behind his son.
“Oh and who do we have here?” looking at Ororo intently.
“Hello Dr. Logan we’ve met before?”
“We have?” he looks at her questionly.
“Dad this is Ororo Munroe-Creed you may remember her from the time you all came to Northwestern.”
“I do remember you I especially remember those lovely eyes.”
They walk into the living room and sit down Dr. Logan sits right beside her.
“So dad where’s mom?” James says.
“Huh? Oh she went to the store to get your favorites when she knew you were coming.”
“Dad I know the story as to what happened all these years ago. Ororo told me this morning.”
“Son I’m sorry about what happened but I didn’t find out about it until afterwards what Christina did.” He took Ororo’s hand s in his “For what she did I am truly sorry.”
Ororo could hear the sincerity in his voice “Thank you but you don’t have to apologize.” James sits down beside them with the air clear for now he decides to tell his dad about Kendall.
“Dad when Ororo left she broke all contact with me and she turned around and married her ex-boyfriend Victor Creed. She found about four weeks after marrying him that she was pregnant. She had her daughter Kendall and she lived in an physically abusive relationship with Victor. She finally divorced him after he nearly killed her and we met again. Well to make a long story short we found out later like a few days that Kendall is my child your granddaughter.” He smiled when he said his child.
“So you’re a father.” Dr. Logan got up and rubbed his chin “I’m finally a grandfather?” he turns his back to him.
“Well dad say something.” James asks worriedly.
“Congratulations son where is she?” he turns with a wide smile on is face.
“She is at a sleepover right now but she will be home tomorrow.”
“And home where exactly is that Ororo?”
“It’s right here in Chicago. Are you alright with all of this Dr. Logan?”
“Please call me Joseph.” He goes over to her and hugs her and then turns and slaps his son on the back.
“Come let’s celebrate with a cigar!”
Just then, they hear the door open and James’s mother call out. Ororo’s stomach tightened up before coming face to face with Christina Logan.
“Hello where are my two handsome men at?”

She comes into the living room and her eyes immediately turn to Ororo. Her husband gets up.
“Darling this is Ororo do you remember her?”
“I’m afraid I don’t. James you didn’t tell me you was bringing home a friend.” She spoke as if she didn’t really exist in her eyes as if she was an old college roommate.
“Well come on Ororo I think that James and his mother need to talk it’s nice outside on the patio.” Ororo and Joseph go out to the patio. As soon as the door was closed, James turns towards his mother and she could see the fury in his eyes.
“Son whatever is the matter?” she says ignoring the look he gave her.
“Don’t son me mother you have a lot of explaining to do!”
Ororo could hear the screaming all the way out on the patio she turns to face the door they just came out of.
“Don’t worry Ororo James knows how to handle his mother the room will still be standing after they are finished. So my granddaughter is eight right?”
“Yes she is she’s so bright and curious about everything she reminds me of me sometimes.”
“Funny James was the same way. I want to asks you a question promise you won’t get mad at me.”
“Promise I think I already know what you are going to ask.”
“Did you not have one feeling that she might have been James’s child?”
“The thought had crossed my mind but I guess I dismissed them once we calculated the time.”
“Alright I’m satisfied with the answer. I can’t wait until I meet little Kendall have you told her about all of this?”
“No we haven’t told her yet and I’m going to tell Victor the coming week.”
“Do you think that is safe given your history with him?”
“I’ll be fine.”
“Please let James go with you just in case.”
Just then the doors open to the patio they see a fuming James emerge out of the doors “Come on ‘Ro let’s go!” he grabs her hand and pulls her down the stairs.
“James what’s going on?”
He yells at his dad over his shoulder “I’ll call you later dad!”
James says nothing until they were almost to Ororo’s house.
“James are you gonna tell me what happened?”
“That woman pisses me off sometimes!”
“Let me guess she said I was lying.” Ororo says calmly.
“She said that and that she didn’t want to see any half-breed child you are trying to pass off as mine!”
“James listen calm down before you cause an accident. Did you really think she was going to accept Kendall right off the bat?” she looks over at him when he stops at a red light.
“Yes ‘Ro damn it I did call me insane or stupid but I am her son she should have believed me!” He focuses back on the road when the light turns green.
“Yes James you are her son but I am the black bitch that seduced you and I am trying to pass off a child who I don’t know who the father is.”
“What are you saying?”
“James I love you but I don’t think your mother is not going to accept me nor Kendall ever I can live with that the question is can you because she is your mother?”
James is quiet and considers Ororo’s question and he finally speaks to her as they get out of the car.
“‘Ro I love my mother but I can’t give up my child or the woman I love twice I guess I am going to have to live with her hostility indefinitely until she comes around.”
Ororo thinks to herself James baby you are going to be in for a long wait.
Back at James’s parents house his parents are having an argument.
“How dare your son talk to me that way.”
Christina tells Joseph as she puts their dinner on.
“Christina I told you what you did was wrong but you said you was doing it for James well it backfired didn’t it?”
“He can’t choose that black woman and that half breed over us can he?”
“You haven’t heard a word that James nor I have said have you?”
“What?”
“He is rightfully angry at you. You made him lose the love of his life once and the right to be there with his child from day one do you honestly think he is going to let you do it again?”
“But his future is going to be marred by being with this woman. No self-respecting doctor will take him seriously.”
“Do you even know who Ororo is?”
“Who is she?”
“This woman that you said can hurt his career is worth billions of dollars she is the owner of Munroe Pharmaceuticals. It is a major manufacturer of pharmaceuticals in the world.”
“Oh she is well it doesn’t matter I don’t want her for my son! I don’t feel well so can you finish dinner I’m going to lay down.” she heads toward the bedroom. Joseph calls out to her. “Well just remember Christina there is the subject of our granddaughter who I want in my life.”
And he goes back into the kitchen. Christina does not respond back to him but thinks to herself ‘I don’t have a granddaughter.’
Back at Ororo’s house, James nearly ravaged her as soon as the door closed. He carried her upstairs and tore off her clothes and his too. Gone were the gentle movements he used last night he wanted his pain to end and he had to have her.
Ororo realizing that that everything was going wrong tried to get him to slow down.
“James! Please slow down I’m not going anywhere!” But he continued to kiss her all over her body
“‘Ro I want you now please right now!” She squirms trying to get away from him.
“Stop it James! Stop! No I don’t want you to do this please!”
He finally hears her crying and then he sees what he had done to her and then he looks into her face and sees the tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Oh baby I’m sorry please forgive me it’s just……”
She can’t stand to see him act like that and she reaches out to him and gently caresses his face.
“It’s alright honey you were upset it will be alright.”
They both lay down on the bed and start to talk about their future well into the wee hours of the night.

Later in the morning, Ororo wakes up to the smell of bacon and eggs and silly laughter coming from downstairs.
“I wonder who is downstairs with James?’
She heads to the kitchen and sees a beautiful sight before her.
“Hey sleepy head it’s about time you got up.”
He tells her when she strolls through the door. She takes in Kendall and James sitting down at the table, which is full of food smiling at her.
“What is going on here I would have been up if you had not kept me…….”
She stop when she saw Kendall looking at her and James laughing from across the table.
“Well baby when did you get home?” she said looking at Kendall.
“Dr. James came to get me as a surprise for you!” Kendall said smiling at the table with syrup dripping down her chin.
“Thank you James how did you know I missed her?”
“Because I missed her too.” James gently ruffled her hair, which put Kendall in a fit of giggles.
While they were enjoying a wonderful breakfast the phone rings and Ororo goes to answer it.
“Hello”
“Yes Ororo this is Joseph.”
“Oh hi Joseph how are you today?”
“I’m fine thank you is James there by any chance?”
“Yeah sure here he is.” She hands the phone over to James and goes back to finish cleaning After talking with his dad for a few moments James comes back into the kitchen with a smile on his face.
“Ro dad will be over in a few minutes if that is alright?”
“Sure it’s alright it’s your dad. Now don’t you think it’s time that me and you talk to Kendall?”
They both look at Kendall who is standing at the sink drying a plate.
Hearing her name she turns around and looks at the two adults she had come to love and they were the most important people in her life.
“What about mommy?” She looks to her mother for some type of explanation.
“Kendall you know how we thought Victor was your daddy?”
“Yeah?”
“Well James will run some tests on me, you, him and daddy to see if……”
She could not continue as much as she wanted James to be the father but what if they were mistaken and Victor is truly Kendall’s father she could not bear what James will do.
“To see if James or daddy is my daddy mommy?” She looks at the two adults and smiles at them as she see shock upon their faces. James smiles as he sees how smart his child is in his heart she is his child.
“Yeah kiddo how did you know?”
“Well Aisha had a DNA test done on her to see who was her daddy a few months ago.”
James looks at her with confusion. “Who’s Aisha?”
“She is my friend down the street. Her mom died last year and when it came to the reading of the will, her dad was there and then some man came in claiming that her mom had an affair with her mom. And so he was saying he was truly her guardian because she was his child.”
“Oh I forgot about that.” Ororo says as she sips her coffee. James looks at the two and sees that they are really serious.
“Well how did it end you two?”
“Aisha’s daddy was her daddy and that man was not.”
“Well kiddo it’s a good chance that I am your dad is that alright?”
She looked at James and then back to her mom he heart swelled even more at the thought of James being her dad she had always loved him. “Great!!!!!”
She jumps into his arms and hugs him tight. The whole kitchen is filled with laughter and they carry that laughter into the den with Kendall asking her new dad lots of questions about his family when the doorbell rings.
Ororo drying her hands after finishing the dishes walks to the door. When James’s dad Dr. Joseph Logan greets her.
“Hello Ororo may I come in?”
“Oh sure I’m sorry please come in Joseph.”
“Thank you Ororo.”
“Alright I will.”
Just then, James enters the foyer area with Kendall on his shoulders both of them smiling.
“Hey dad you made it.”
“Yes and who do we have here?” Joseph says as he looks a bright and smiling little girl.
“My name is Kendall N’Dare Creed are you my granddad?”
“Yep I am and could I ask you something?”
“Yeah?” Everyone looks at him with curiosity in their eyes.
“Can I get a hug from by beautiful granddaughter?” He smiles at her and everyone laughs.
“You bet!” And she jumps into her grandfathers arms.
After getting to know each other and talking, the adults sit down to talk when Kendall asks to go outside.
“Mommy can I go outside to play Lisa and Tammy are out there?” They all look to see two pairs of eyes pressed against the patio window sending everyone laughing.
“Yes baby but don’t go too far stay in the backyard after all your grandfather came to see you.”
Joseph puts his hand on Ororo’s shoulder “It’s alright Ororo let her go and play we will have plenty of time to visit later.” Hearing this Kendall races out the door. They all continue to talk sitting out on the patio drinking coffee.
“So James and Ororo what are your plans for the future?” Joseph asks.
“Well dad we really haven’t talked about it yet.”
“Son you know it’s room for you at my practice and you could take over you know?”
“I’ll think about it dad but I still have a practice back home with Remy.”
“I’m thinking of the well being of my granddaughter you two I know you both love each other.” He says with sincerity.
“Joseph it’s so complicated we have to get to know each other again.”
“If you love each other then nothing is complicated I don’t want to see you two lose each other again all because of a stubborn, rude, obnoxious, overbearing mother.”
They both look at him.
“Dad we do love each other and I’m speaking for both of us that we won’t let mother stop us.” He gently pulls Ororo towards him “Will we?” He looks at her for an answer. Ororo not feeling as confident as him answers “No we won’t.”

.” He gently pulls Ororo towards him “Will we?” He looks at her for an answer. Ororo not feeling as confident as him answers “No we won’t.” his hold on her tightens. They sit out on the deck quietly for a while. Dr. Logan watches his son play with his daughter and her friends he sees his son look excitingly happy and secretly he wishes that Christina could see that.
Wednesday came quick and Ororo prepares for the long conversation with Victor. They left early the day before so James could catch up on some work so he would be free to spend the day with his family. Ororo goes to the lawyer’s office to see Charles.
“Hello Charles.” She grabs his hands that he has out for her.
“Hello Ororo. Please sit down where’s little Kendall?”
“She’s at a friend’s house right now. Do you have the necessary papers for Victor to sign?”
“Yes I do. When are you all going to do the paternity test?”
“Well we all took one on Monday and all that is left is for Victor to take one. Once he does James will put a rush on it and we will find out the results as soon as possible.”
“Well once the test come back you will have him sign the papers and we will get the ball rolling to change the birth certificate.”
“Charles how long does it take?”
“What changing the birth certificate?”
“Yes.”
“Approximately six months.”
“That long Charles?”
“Yes that long I will try to speed up the process as quick as I can.”
“Well I have to meet James for lunch.”
“Is he going with you tonight?”
“Yes he is.”
“Good I feel so much better now.”
“Bye Charles.”
Ororo sits down at the Café Bistro sipping on some lemonade while waiting for James. What she doesn’t know someone has spotted her first.
“My, my what brings you to town.” Ororo turns and looks into the eyes of Victors mother Victoria.
“I have a meeting with your son tonight didn’t he tell you?”
“No he didn’t where’s my granddaughter?”
Ororo wanting the conversation to end “She is at a friend’s house she will be here until tomorrow.”
“Bring her by the house before you leave town we would like to see her.”
“I’ll see how we are time wise and maybe I can do that.”
She let’s a sigh of relief when she spots James at the door with Kendall in his arms waving at her. Sensing something Victoria turns around and sees this gorgeous man with her grandchild. ‘He looks awfully familiar’ she thinks.
“So I see why you are so busy.”
“Victoria it’s not like that. Look we will be there around twelve tomorrow alright we will call you.”
When James and Kendall reach the table “Hello ladies,” He kisses her on the lips. She could feel that he missed her almost as much as she missed him with that one kiss.
“Hello James do you remember Victoria, Victor’s mother?”
“Yes.” He extends his hand to her and she shakes it quickly.
“Hi grandma.” Kendall smiles at her before Victoria could respond.
“Hello dear how’s my grandbaby doing?”
“I’m fine grandma.”
“Well I must leave now I’m meeting some others for lunch bye bye baby.”
Victoria leaves to go to her table. James grasps Ororo’s hand and kisses it. He looks deeply in her eyes wile she chats with Kendall he sits quietly observing them. ‘My two girls should I give ‘Ro the results now? I wonder’ he smiles at her sensing his gaze upon her she looks over to him.
“What are you smiling about?”
“Just enjoying looking at my two girls that’s all.”
“Daddy there’s Casey with her mom Dr. Lee can I go please?” She looks at him with her big grey eyes and a smile.
“Who can say no to a face like that of course me and your mom will pick you up at seven alright?” Ororo walks over to Jubilation Lee and her daughter Casey and she tells her the pick up time. Ororo walks back to the table and proceeds to open the menu.
“Oh I’m starved so what are you having James?” She asked wile she is looking at the menu. She feels his eyes on her again. “What’s wrong?” she feels his hand on her knee.
“I know what I want and it’s not on this menu.” He smugly smiles at her.
“James I’m really starving come let’s order.” She ignores his groans and starts to order when the waiter comes to the table.
After finishing their lunch, they both head to James’ house.
“Hey how about some dessert?” he says as he places kisses along her neck. Then he seeks her tongue inside her warm moist mouth. When she finally breaks free from the kiss, she tries to catch her breath.
“You act like you haven’t seen me in ages.” She gets up from the couch and moves to the window to look out in the yard. James moves behind her and kisses the curve of her neck, which is her weak spot. “What’s wrong baby?” She let’s out a moan “Nothing honey nothing.” She turns into his arms and kisses him catching him off guard.
“Wow I forgot how your kisses can get me all hot and bothered.”
“Come let’s finish this upstairs.” He picks her up in his arms and they both go to the bedroom.
James slowly takes off her blouse and bra and takes one of her nipples and puts it in his mouth he knows it satisfies her because of the moan she let’s out and he starts to pay the same attention to the other nipple. Ororo rips James’s shirt off and soon they both start to figure out a way out of the rest of their clothes. Soon James feels to see if she is ready for him and is glad he could feel her warm and moist nectar flowing from her. He looks into her eyes “Ro are you ready?”
“Yes oh yes James I need you !” she screams out. He moves her hips to meet his and he gently thrust himself inside of her knowing how much he missed her in his heart he decided to show her . Ororo thrashed about moaning in ecstasy as she could feel his pushing his way throughout her body and soon they climax together tears escaping both of their eyes. James collapses on top of her and she playfully rolls him off and nestles herself beside him with their legs intertwined and her head resting on his chest.
“James?”
“Huh?” he says sleepily.
“Are you trying to go to sleep on me?” Ororo gently nudges his chest.
“No darlin just resting why?” he opens one eye and peers down at her. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” She turns to leave the bed.
“Wait a minute.” He grabs her before she gets out the bed. “Tell me I’m awake.”
“Its just I don’t know.” She lays her head back down on his chest.
“Are you worried about tonight?” he strokes her back.
“Yes kind of .”
“Hey” he lifts her head so their eyes could meet. “I will be there right beside you. He will not hurt you not while I am there.”
“But what if …”
“What if what listen I was going to tell you later but I have the results of the paternity test that we took Monday.”
“You do? James could we see them now?”
“Yes if you want I will just get them out of my briefcase. I will be right back.” Ororo waits in the bed as a naked James walks downstairs to get the results. They both look at the envelope and Ororo sees that James’s hands are shaking so she takes the envelope and opens it. She sits up in the bed and looks over the results.
“So what does it say?” he has a worried look on his face.
“If I am reading this right in the case of Kendall N’Dare Creed, Dr. James Logan you are the father with an accuracy of 99.9%.” Ororo said in her best inpersenation of a TV talk show host. James jumps in the bed and soon embraces Ororo hugging her tightly.
When the old grandfather chimed at precisely six o’clock Jean felt apprehension when she heard the doorbell ring at the same time. Victor and her had just finished an argument about Ororo coming over to the house and her not being allowed in the meeting between the exes. Out on the porch Ororo could feel herself become more nervous but just knowing that James was with her made her more confident about the meeting.
“Hey baby I’m right here with you.” He grabs her trembling hand. She takes a deep breath and slowly lets it out.
The door opens and they are greeted by Victor. He looks expecting to see Ororo alone but sees she had brought someone else with her.
“Hello Ororo some in please.” He has a fake smile.
“Hello Victor.” She turns to James “This is Dr. James Logan.” James extends his hand out and Victor reluctantly takes it.
“Come let’s go in the study.” And they follow Victor. James makes sure to put an arm around Ororo’s waist seeing how nervous she is.
“So Ororo what is this meeting about?” Victor asked annoyed that she brought someone with her.
“Victor I really don’t know where to start.” She let’s out a breath she could feel James arm tighten around her. “Back when I left you Victor I lost our baby the next day.”
Upon hearing this Victor sat back in his chair stunned “What!” he shouts and Jean hears him and she runs to the door of the study to listen.
James goes into protective mode “Look Ororo miscarried your child it was twelve weeks old. Remy and I felt it was best if we ran some tests on the fetus to see if the beating she sustained the night before had caused her to miscarry or something else.”
Victor felt a sense of guilt upon of Ororo’s beating again “Well was it? Is this what you came to tell me that I killed our child!” Victor steps to her and James gets up and prepares to defend her. Ororo finally speaks.
“No Victor it wasn’t because of the beating our child would have never survived.”
“What! Look I’m confused how could you know it would not have survived?”
“Because of the tests that Remy and James ran. The genetics test told us that chromosomaly our baby was severly deformed and would not have survived.”
“How could that be?” Victor feeling as if he had done something to Ororo with the beatings.
“Remy and I talked with the geneticist to confirm what we suspected. Ororo genetic results came back normal. So we did a genetics test on Kendall which also came back normal but the fetus and Kendall’s results were not a match for siblings.”
“So what does the mean?”
“On the conclusion of the doctor your sperm somehow cannot produce a healthy baby. The woman you have gotten pregnant cannot carry a baby to full term.”
Stunned by what he just heard Victor gets his bearings and goes into attack mode.
“So you cheated on me Ororo? That’s real nice to know since you blamed me for everything that went wrong in our marriage. I knew I couldn’t make a whore into a hou…..”
“That’s enough with the accusations Victor! Just answer me this when did I have the time to cheat on you! You fucking watched my every move!” she screamed ready to bolt for the door. She looks at James who shakes his head and she sits back firmly in her seat.
“Victor do you understand you cannot produce a healthy baby.”
“So what about Kendall she’s mine!” he yells at James.
“That’s just it she’s not your daughter Victor!” Ororo says knowing that this news was going to break his heart.
“Look Ororo I know I have hurt you in the past but please don’t do this to me she is my daughter.” Ororo sees the pain in his eyes but she knows she must tell him the full truth.
“Victor James is Kendall’s father we did a paternity test and he is her father by an accuracy of 99.9%.” she hands him a copy of the paternity test and the geneticist findings. “Have your doctor look these over and run some more test if needed call us if you have any questions.” James rises up to leave and reaches his hand out to Ororo. Ororo looks over at Victor who is standing in disbelief her heart wants to comfort him but her mind tells her no.
“Victor I will be in town for the rest of the week contact Edward if you need to speak to me.” She gets up and goes over to James and they proceed out of the study and head out to the front door where they are confronted by Jean.
“How can you come here and spread lies you slut!” Jean tries to slap Ororo.
“Who the hell are you calling slut! You cheated with my husband!” Ororo catches her hand.
“Let me go! I’m not the one who’s been passing off another man’s child for eight years!”
Ororo lunges for Jean but James steps in between them and pushes Ororo out the door and picks her up and carries her out to the car. Jean rushes into the study where Victor is looking out the window.
“Oh honey I heard are you alright?” she grabs his shoulders he steps away from her.
“Please Jean leave me alone right now.”
“No honey I won’t its terrible what that whore did to you for all these years.”
Victor turns to her and points a finger in her face “Don’t you ever call Ororo a whore again do you hear me!”
“But honey…..” she is shocked at the feelings of protectiveness he feels for Ororo.
“Jean I said leave me alone!” on that note Jean rushes out of the study. Victor is in the study alone ‘How could this be?’ he asks himself. Revenge was on his mind now and he knew who had to pay ORORO!

Ororo is quiet on the way to pick up Kendall , James is wondering why.
“Hey babe you want to pick up something before we go get Kendall?” She doesn’t answer him.
“Hey ‘Ro what’s wrong?” She looks over at him.
“Huh what did you say baby?”
“First I asked if you want to get something to eat before we pick up Kendall then I asked if you were alright.”
“I just hate to hurt people like I just hurt Victor that’s all.” She blows out a sigh. He places his hand over hers “It was just something that had to be done. Did Charles say how long it was going to take to change the birth certificate?”
She bits the inside of her lip “Yeah about six months?” She could feel him tense up.
“Six months?” She saw his eyes narrow and he looks back toward the highway. Looking at his profile, she could see the tightness of the muscles in his face.
“I know that’s not what you expected but that’s as soon as Charles could get it changed.”
“Don’t mind me ‘Ro its just I thought that once paternity had been established then it would be not problem for the change.”
“When we get home I have some papers for you to sign.”
He turns to look at her when he stops at a red light.
“What papers?”
“Well I had Charles draw up papers to give you full custody of Kendall in case something happens to me also I had my will changed.”
“For what ‘Ro? I don’t need the money and are you planning on leaving this earth anytime soon?”
“I’m just planning ahead here just in case okay.” She leans over to kiss him on the cheek. And she smiles at him and he smiles back. “’Ro I want you to change it back alright.” They pull up to the Lee’s house to get Kendall.
“I’ll go get her ‘Ro.” James gets out of the SUV.
“You just have to spend every minute with her don’t you?” she smiles at him.
“I have a lot of lost time to make up with her and with you ‘Ro.” He winks at her and goes to the door. Ororo looks as both of them laugh and giggle all the way to the car.
“What are you two laughing about?” she looks at Kendall.
“It’s a secret mommy.” Kendall looks at James and they smile at each other.
“Oh so you two are keeping secrets now?” Ororo nudges James arm.
“So let’s pick a pizza before we get home.”
“Okay.” They both say in unison.
After eating Ororo cleans up the kitchen while James reads Kendall a bedtime story. She looks over at her cell phone when it rings and goes over to answer it.
“Hello.” She gets no answer.
“Hello?” still no answer. So she hangs up. That was strange she thought but she dismisses it. James walks downstairs and goes to the living room to join Ororo.
“Hey is she asleep yet?” Ororo moans as James picks up her feet to massage them.
“Yeah it took two stories to get her to lala land but she went.” Ororo laughs and then moans as she lets her body relax under his ministrations.
“Oh James that feels so good.”
“Come on upstairs and I will make something else feel really good.” She cocks an eyebrow at him and leaps off the chair to take off running upstairs with him following close behind her. When they get to the bedroom, they go and take a shower together and they lay naked together on the bed but James hears Ororo breathing deeply and he knew she had fallen asleep from the long day. Oh well he thinks dealing with Victor must have worn her out. He gently wraps his arms around her spooning her and falls asleep too with a smile on his face.
James awakens a short time later to a strange noise that came from downstairs and he immediately gets up carefully because he didn’t want to wake up Ororo. He goes to Kendall’s room and sees that she is soundly asleep so he proceeds to go downstairs picking up his old trusty bat along the way. As he steps into the living room, he sees the intruder and he raises the bat and is just about to swing when the intruder turns around.
“Oh god! James no!” the intruder screams.
“What in the hell are you doing here!” James screams cutting on the light to the living room.
“Oh James darling if you wanted me gone you would have changed the locks.” Shanna smiles at him as she takes off her overcoat and reveals a red skimpy negligee with red thigh high stockings underneath.
Licking her red lips, she walks over to him “I thought we could get busy tonight. It’s been so long.” She says caressesing his bare chest.
“Not a chance Shanna I have company tonight.” He looks towards the stairs hoping Ororo had not awakened.
“Oh you do who is it another nurse?” she backs away from him.
“No if you must know its my fiancée and my daughter. I want the keys Shanna now and I want you to leave!” He grabs her arm to lead her out the door she wrestles with him.
“Your what! But I thought me and you………” James looks at her strangely.
“Could have a future together? No way Shanna you ruined the prospects of us being a couple with your jealous rage. Now leave my home.”
“But how could you have sex with me knowing that…….” Shanna trailed off with tears in her eyes.
“Knowing I did not love you? Remember Shannan I broke it off we were not going anywhere especially after you attacked nurse Appleton! You always come by here late at night and seduce me and we end up having sex but not once did I clue you that we were back on as a couple we don’t even say two words to each other at work.”
“You son of a bitch!” She goes to slap him.
“Keep your god damn voice down my family is asleep upstairs!” James says through gritted teeth. He goes over and opens the door for her.
Meanwhile upstairs feeling cold Ororo reaches for James to find his side empty waking up the looks around the room for him. She gets up and puts her robe on and proceeds downstairs where she hear James and a woman arguing. She stays put on the stairs to listen but from her view, she could see a very pretty petite woman standing there with a skimpy red negligee talking to James, which peeks her interest. Ororo could see the woman walk over to him and give him a heavy kiss but he backs away from and afterwards she puts on her coat and leaves out the open door where James shoulder slump and he ran his fingers through his hair. Quietly Ororo runs upstairs her heart breaking along the way and gets in the bed and she later hears James go to the bathroom turning on the faucet and come back out. He walks over to Ororo breathing deeply he bends giving her a kiss on her temple and then he lays down beside her.
“So are you going to tell me who that was?”
Startled that she was awake he could feel the anger coming off of her and he dreads telling her about Shanna. He turns to Ororo who still has her back to him he reaches out to touch her shoulder and she turns to face him.
“’Ro she was from my past her name is Shanna.”
“James why is your past coming here in your present?”
“I thought I took the keys from her. She is a nurse from the hospital.” He looks deep into her eyes “I broke it off with her a long time ago.”
“If you did James why is she showing up now?” She wanted to believe him but the past of living with Victor keeps coming back up in her mind. James could see the confusion in her eyes and the tears that was forming in them.
“Every time she came by since you have been back in my life I have sent her away ‘Ro.” He strokes her face. “I love you ‘Ro and I want you to be my wife damn I’ve wanted that for a long time.” He reaches over to the nightstand and pulls out a velvet black box. “Damn this isn’t the way I wanted to do this.” he thinks He looks back Ororo.
“James is what you say is true why haven’t you gotten the locks changed?” She says still looking at him.
“’Ro I haven’t had the time with what has been going on lately.” Ororo looks in his hands as he opens the black box and sees a 3-karat canary yellow diamond in a platinum band surrounded by white diamonds which adds another 2karats.
“Oh James this is beautiful.” The tears start to fall.
“So ‘Ro will you marry me?” James said crossing his fingers behind his back.
“Oh James yes! Yes! I will marry you!”
