“Logan? Is that you?”

I had thought it wasn’t her.

“The other one ain’t far away.”

But I was wrong.

“Come on, we have to regroup.”

I thought she was Mystique.

God, how I wish it had been.

“I know. But there’s a problem.”

I turned around and stabbed her with my claws, through the stomach.

“You ain’t part of the group.”

I watched as she gasped, her eyes turning milky white.

I waited for her to turn back to her original shape.

But she didn’t.

I had just stabbed the real Ororo Munroe.

Shock passed through me as I realized what I had done.

I collapsed to the floor as she did, using her cape to try to stop the bleeding.

And when she looked up at me, I had to look away.

She started to speak, but I told her not to.

As I called out for help my heart was racing. I’d only known her for a few days “ a week at the most “ and already i’d tried to kill her.

“Storm hang on.” I whispered to her. Cyclops and Jean had to show up soon. They just had too.

She couldn’t die.

Ororo’s eyes kept changing from her original blue to milky white. Her hair sparked with electricity and a breeze started up through the building.

Thank god Jean and Cyclops came ‘round the corner at that moment.

Immeadiately they were helping.

“Scott, talk to her, keep her awake.” Jean told him. I just stepped back. Nothin’ more I felt I could do

-----------------------------------------------------------

I sat outside in the garden, smoking my cigar.

I felt guilty. It wasn’t the first time i’d stabbed a friend.

The first was Rogue, when she woke me up from my nightmare.

She had been able to heal herself using my healing power though. Storm on the other hand...

I don’t know if there was a type of weather she could have used. I highly doubt it.

She had passed out on the jet ride back.

Jean thought we had lost her.

Ororo’s strong though. She’ll get through this.

“Logan?”

Turning around I saw Scott, he sat next on the wall next to me.

“How is she?”

He sighed.

He sounded relieved.

“Ororo’s fine. Gonna be in pain for a while but she’s gonna be fine.”

I think he saw the relief on my face.

“What I did... I... I thought she was Mystique. I should have waited before I took a chance.”

Scott put a hand on my shoulder.

“It’s not your fault Logan.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I stood, hesitating outside the medical room’s door.

Jean saw me, opened the door then left. I think she sensed my need to be alone with Storm.

I walked over to the bed. Storm was either unconscious or asleep.

She looked like an Angel “ no wait. A goddess.

Her white hair was spread over the pillow, her dark skin a shocking contrast.

I hated the way she was right now, connected to machines and just looking so... helpless.

It wasn’t Storm. She was strong, didn’t give up easily.

I sat down on a chair next to the bed and picked up her hand.

“I’m sorry ‘Ro.” I smiled at the nickname. It came so naturally.

She stirred slightly and her eyes opened.

A faint answer came from her.

“It’s okay.”
Flying without wings by InstantRockstar
I stared at her in disbelief.

She said it was okay. Okay? I had shoved my claws into her stomach and she said it was okay?

Time to sort this mess out.

“ No, it’s not. I hurt you Ro, I hurt you real bad.”

She closed her eyes for a few seconds. Obviously she was tired.

Slowly she opened them again.

“Logan, it wasn’t your fault. It could have happened to anyone.”

I sighed as I realized I wasn’t gonna reason with her.

I brushed some hair from her face.

“Get some sleep Ro.”

As I left Jean walked back in.

God, that weather witch was so stubborn at times.

---------------------------------------------------

A few days later and I was in the kitchen.

Next thing I knew, Storm walked in.

I ran over to her.

“Storm what the hell are you doing in here?”

She shrugged.

“I was hungry.” Her soft African accent highlighting her words.

Jean’s the next one to walk in.

I pulled her aside as Storm rumaged through the fridge.

“What the hell is she doing in here.”

Jean sighed.

“I checked her over and she doesn’t need to stay in bed. Sure it’s bad but it’s not bad enough to force her to stay in bed. She’s not going to work at all. I told her to take it easy for around a month. Maybe even 2.”

I stepped back.

Ororo was sat at the table eating a piece of coffee cake.

I got a beer from the fridge and sat down next to her.

She glanced up at me, gave me a nod of recognition and went back to her cake.

We sat in a comfortable silence.

When she had finished her cake and I had finished my beer, I turned to her.

“Ro, wanna go for a walk with me?”

She smiled.

“Yeah. That would be good.”

--------------------------------------------------

We made our way to the garden.

As I reached the bottom of the stone steps in the garden I realized that Storm wasn’t next to me anymore.

Turning around, I saw her slowly coming down the steps.

“Ro? You okay?”

She nodded at me.

Another lie. It was obvious that she was in pain.

“I’m fine, really. I just can’t quite manage stairs yet.”

--------------------------------------------------------------

We walked until we came across a clearing.

Sighing, Ororo sat down cross-legged on the grass.

She closed her eyes and breathed in.

I smiled and watched as she floated on a small wind a few inches off the ground.

I have to admit she’s amazing.

We stayed outside for a few hours. Just... talking.

There was so much I didn’t know about her, which is understandable seeing as I’ve only known her for around a week. But now, I feel i’ve known her much longer.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

As I helped her upstairs to her room I asked again if she was alright.

“Yeah, I feel much better know though. Being outside really helped.”

With that she went inside her room and I stood there, just... thinking.

Am I in love with Ororo Munroe?
It's raining tears by InstantRockstar
I was asleep, well nearly, when I got a knock at my door.

I mumbled something that vaguely sounded like ‘Go to hell’ before falling asleep again, however the knock came again.

I was getting fed up with this.

Throwing off the duvet I stormed over to the door. It was only 1am. I wanted to sleep.

Pulling open the door I stopped as I saw who was there.

My anger just melted away.

Ororo was standing there, her blanket draped round her shoulders, tears rolling down her chocolate-brown cheeks.

“Logan... I...I...”

Her voice faded.

“Ssh. Come in darlin’.”

I closed the door behind her and sat her down on the bed.

“Darlin’ what is it?”

“I...I couldn’t sleep... bad dream...”

She was crying so hard it was hard to understand her. Must have been a pretty bad dream.

“I... I dreamt that you... you left me. After you hurt me. You left... and I...I never saw you again.”

I put my arm around her and she cried.

Rain started pouring outside.

“Hey, lie down and get some sleep. You’ll feel better.”

I moved and she layed down.

I was gonna lie down on the couch and sleep there but she looked over at me, panic on her face.

“Don’t go. Please.”

I turned around and went back over to the bed and layed down with her.

Ororo cuddled up to me and I could feel her steady breathing.

This felt right.

I now knew that yes, I am in love with Ororo Munroe.
Dead but still Beautiful by InstantRockstar
For the next week, Ororo was quiet; she didn’t talk to anyone unless she was spoken too and she kept herself in her room for most of the day.

Today was no different.

Except for the fact that she didn’t come out of her room at all.

I went upstairs and knocked on her door; surprised when it swung open.

“Ro? You in here?”

As I entered her room I looked around. There were a packet of painkillers on the table, a few items of clothing scattered on the floor but no Ororo.

Then I noticed the french doors leading to the balcony were open, a wind blowing the long nylon curtains into the room.

Making my way out there, I found her, sat cross-legged; her eyes glowing white and a small wind blowing around her.

She looked tired and I saw her holding a small flower. It looked dead. But still beautiful.

When I sat down beside her she looked up at me, the soft moonlight highlighting her perfect face.

I can see why she was worshipped as a goddess.

“Darlin’? You alright?”

All I got from her was a sigh.

“I can’t sleep. Haven’t been able to for a week.”

I breathed in her flowery scent.

“Why? Nightmares?”

She nodded.

“It’s not just that though. It’s been hurting more than usual.”

Of course. That explains the painkillers on her table.

I was about to respond when I picked up a familliar scent.

And it wasn’t one I liked.

I heard Ororo gasp as someone behind us put a clawed hand to her throat.

Sabretooth.
Walk don't run by InstantRockstar
Logan's pov

Jumping up off the floor I slid my claws out.

Pulling Ororo away, I started fighting with Sabretooth.

“Ro, run and get somone darlin’.”

She looked at me, then ran out the room.

Jean’s gonna kill me for telling her to run.

Ororo's pov

I ran down the hall ignoring the shooting pain in my stomach. I had to find someone.

Looking at my stomach I noticed blood seeping through my shirt.

Crap.

Throwing open the door to the Professor’s office, I ran in, gasping for breath.

I said the words “Sabretooth. My room. Logan...” before everything went black.

Logan's pov

Fighting Sabretooth isn’t easy. Infact it bloody hurts.

A red beam shot through the room, smashing into him before any major damage could be done though.

I looked up, expecting to see Storm.

She wasn’t there.

Cyclops came over.

“Logan? What...”

“Where’s Storm?” I growled.

“Logan...”

“Where is she?”

He sighed. Something’s wrong, I know it.

“She’s in the med room. She collapsed in the Professor’s office.”

I knew it.

I shouldn’t have asked her to run.

She was almost better.

Silently I left the room, heading to the elevator that would take me down there.
Breath at the end of a kiss by InstantRockstar
I walked into the med room looking for the goddess.
I saw her lying on the bed with Jean busying around her. I watched as Jean inserted a needle into Ororo’s arm. The weather witch fliched and turned her head, her eyes locking with mine.
Jean moved out the way and I walked over. I noticed she was tired.
“Hey Roro. You okay?” Okay, that’s a dumb thing to ask her.
She nodded her head before yawning.
I pulled the blanket over her and kissed her forehead.
Taking a look at her, I noticed she was asleep.
Leaving the room, I let her rest.

---------------------------------

That night my mind couldn’t rest.
Horrifying images clouded my dreams, torturing me whilst I slept.
Images of men, working around me with liquid metal; images of Ororo, lying on the floor, covered in blood; images of Rogue’s face when I stabbed her through the chest.
Suddenly, I shot up. Someone had been shaking me.
As my eyes ajusted to the darkness of the room, I glanced at the person who had awoken me.
It was Ro.
“Logan, what was going on? Are you okay?”
I smiled at her.
“Roro, I’m fine, what about you?”
She sat down next to me on the bed.
“I’m alright. Jean said it’s nearly healed. Apparently I pulled something today and made it bleed. A little too much though.” She let out a small laugh.
“I like that.” What was I saying?
Ororo looked at me, puzzled.
“What?”
I smiled.
“Hearing you laugh. It’s nice.” God, I sound like an idiot.
Pulling her closer, our lips met.
As we pulled away she sighed.
“Wow.”
“I love ya Ro. Don’t forget it.”
