I LOVE the 80's. Ok so what, I was prolly aorund six yrs old at the time. That doesn't mean I can't picture Kitty in a giant off the shoulder t-shirt with the sideways ponytail and those leggings that were oh so popular.

Author's Response: Back when these stories were being printed in Uncanny, I was around 12-ish. And I used to own off-the-shoulder shirts that I ripped myself, legwarmers, and Sassoon jeans. Feel free to laugh at me if you like!!! Product placement...you know, that wasn't even intentional. I just like having cultural references for where and when people are when the action takes place. This is such an awsome story. I love every word. Each and every word action scene and thought is done so well. I feel like I'm watching this instead of reading it. Wow! Make that an UBER WOW!!!

Author's Response: Not all of the faces live in the same building, that would be too much like the X-mansion. Just a few sprinkled here and there, where Ororo lives and works. Yeah, I'm being a little more prolific this week...taking a break from Wounded and another New Mutants fic that I started for Superstories this week. Hate writer's block... C

I love this story. I can't even begin to describe how I feel like I can reach out and touch them and the way they feel. For instance, this is one of the few, and I mean FEW, versions of "bitch" Jean that I love. Sure I hate what she's doing, but you have made it so human, and it feels like a situation that anyone could find themselves in.

Yea, she's being selfish and only looking out for herself, but she honestly believed that she wasn't hurting Logan, and believes that in the case of Scott "what he doesn't know, won't hurt him" idea.

Good job. You really nailed it. I can't wait for more. You have me drooling for me.

Author's Response: Bingo! That is exactly what I was shooting for with Jean. I personally dislike the Jean character in the comic books. But I am really trying to not let that color how I am creating my version. She's selfish and a little spoiled. She does love Scott but Logan represents the forbidden.
