It's amazing how you manage to balance erotica with emotion. One would think this (and its prequel) would be peppered with purple prose, but instead you wow us with a fic that is so full of genuine feeling.

"Don't cry, Wolverine, somebody loves you." is enough to blow the air out of anyone's lungs, I think.

Amazing work. :)

Author's Response: Wow thanks very much, Marbles. I\'m glad you found this story and that you enjoyed all the aspects of it. I think Ororo an\' Logan would be a great dynamic together in any verse. I\'m glad that came out in this. Thanks for taking the time to review. It\'s appreciated. - W6C

Good Lord, but this was amazing. I know this is labelled as erotica but truthfully, it was so tastefully written and so moving that it's hard to remember that this is NC-17. It's rare to find stories that deal with sex in such a way, and I'm sure this was difficult to write. But you dealt with it so marvelously, especially considering that most authors take the idea of wild, passionate animal RoLo sex and run with it.

And while I have no qualms about that, this emotional tantric experience was just as amazing to read.

Very, very well done. :)

Author's Response: Thank you for such a kind review, Marbles. It\'s still one of my favorite stories (of the ones I\'ve written) You\'re right, the wild passionate animal encounters between the two are well-known and expected... which was why I felt a need to go another way with it. To see how an encounter would go with Ro in command. How would she show Logan a side of the act, the gentler, more sensation driven of the psychological experience of it all. I think she did quite well. *grin* Thanks for letting me know that you read and enjoyed it. I appreciate that you took the time. - W6C

I don't find myself swearing often, but this one has me throwing curses around like a sailor. Daaamn. "Hot" is such an understatement for this. More than anything, though, I feel like this is quite possibly one of the RoLo erotica I've read that can live up to the claim that it is as passionate as it claims to be. Seriously, the emotions were practically rolling off of them in waves.

Awesome work!

Now if you'll excuse me, I need a shower...

Author's Response: *smiles* Thanks very much for such a wonderful review and thought out feedback. I\'m really glad so many RoLo\'ers enjoy my take on these two great characters. Thanks for spending your time reading my story and I appreciate the time you took to review. Thanks again, Marbles - W6C

Somehow I only just now got a chance to read this. High fantasy isn't always my choice of genre, there are few titles in it that I really like, and this just became one of them! This is fantastic. I love the world you've spun for this AU and I imagine you must have had incredible fun in doing the world building for this.

I really hope you plan on continuing this, it looks very promising and I look forward to seeing more!

I've said it before, but your Wade is one of the best I've heard! (don't let him hear that) You write him so well, I love it. I hope your writers' block gets better, but if all you can write is more Wade, you won't hear me complain heh.

PS, tell Wade to shut up, learning Doth'raki would be /awesome/

I really, really love this. So glad you're updating; the dynamic you have going on between Logan and Ororo is amazing and so much fun to read on.

Things are getting exciting! Can't wait to see what you have in store for everyone. I love that you have Wade in this, you've got his insanity down to a T. :)

This fic is basically the poster child (of RoLo AUs) for the Earn Your Happy Ending trope, haha. Jesus Christ. I feel like Anna summed it up best in this chapter; you just want to bang their heads together to make them see reason.

I felt Tory's ache in this :( That was really painful to read. And I mean that in the best possible way! They're both being so stubborn and proud, but with Ororo and her particular history of loss and heartache and bad case of abandonment issues(!!!), it's just. Ow. Like, I know Logan's suffered just as much, but maybe it's me being a female that I feel like Ororo must feel her loss that much more keenly, which is why she's finding it so hard to get over her past and put her trust in Logan again.

At the same time, I'm really liking all this drama. It would have been strange if things were suddenly fixed and fine and dandy after the emotional rollercoaster that was the last few chapters. This feels right (even if it feels terrible!) I just kind of hope that a happy ending isn't too far off, and that there's one planned for them eventually! (sorry, I'm such a sap. I love happy endings.)

This was a great update, Cee! I'm so excited that you haven't given up on this story! :)

Oh, god. This is my favorite AU, I think. (It's hard, I love all your AU's) This update is fantastic, and I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough time pushing this muse in the direction you want it to go. I know how that feels. I don't know how much it means, but I just want to say that this chapter was fantastic, definitely didn't fail in delivering the emotionally charged tension and that plot twist! Ugh. This is great. I love the level of detail that really makes it all feel like it's set in the real world where they have real problems (at work, with relationships, with family... Logan's pain was so palpable in this. I really felt for him. My goodness.), that I'm in awe of how much you're able to put into your words. You're a really good storyteller, Miss Cee. This is great, and I hope you get bitten by the writing bug again someday, because (of that cliffhanger!!!) I do believe this is worth returning to. Until then, peace!

Author's Response: Woo-hoo! With a review like that, I need to kick my muse's butt and get cracking! Marbles, your praise means a lot, since I love YOUR stories that I've read out here. I started out just wanting to write something "quirky" when this story's main idea came to me. The love scene wrote itself before the rest of the plot, and I took off with little actual direction from there, but it's been fun. I like "real world" problems. I like people who pay bills, take care of sick parents, argue with the black sheep in their family, get drunk, make goofy choices like one-nighters or who walk home with their clothes inside-out. I can't stand fics, or any actual books, where all of the characters are perfectly beautiful, conveniently wealthy, and who think the world revolves around them. Thanks so much for visiting my story. I hope I can tweak an update soon.

I reread this again, because clearly I hate myself! One of your best right here, Miss Cee. This was easier to read this time around, though most of the sales talk still flies right over my head. But not in a bad way - I kind of wonder how it is you manage to write convincing arguments and conversations and discussions without sacrificing fluidity. That's a gift!

Hope you update soon, and that this gets wrapped up someday! A lot of the side-pairings here are illegally adorable (Ali and Cain, Monet and Everett, Monica and Luke! A lot of these made me smile, considering where these guys and gals are in comics right now!) so I would love to see them (and Ororo and Logan, damn!) get their happy endings... Well, heck, I just want Ororo and Logan to be unrepentantly happy, too.

Oh my god, they're making progress! It feels a little two steps forward, one step back, but that's still more than I thought would happen, and it's great how Logan's stubbornness and bullheadedness is working in their favor (sort of, kind of) in this. I suspected he'd follow her, but it's pretty great that he had work move him there so now it's all permanent-feeling. I'm so glad they're at least in the same city again!

And gosh, that reunion! How explosive, haha. I haven't read decent RoLo smut in a long while, that was great. I still kind of want to knock their heads together but 1) Ororo's pregnant so that wouldn't be a good idea, and 2) at least they're not completely cold to each other, anymore!

Anyway, great update! And that upcoming OBGYN appointment's gonna be like a boxing match, isn't it? Haha :D

Author's Response: That smut has been percolating in the back of my mind for a while. The doctor's visit... yeah. Muahahahahahahaaaaa... Anyhoo, glad you've been reading along, Marbles, and it's always high praise coming from you when you give me any, I love your stuff. Logan is more complex in this than I originally planned, I initially wanted him to be the guy who just wanted the one-night stand, but instead, I found myself making Ororo assume that role instead. That was when it clicked in my head: Ororo is the divorcee, Logan is the widow. They have different fears and different expectations about what commitment entails. They're back in the same city, that will change the momentum a little in Logan's favor, but the fur will fly with them once again working in the same building. *more evil laughter* Good talking to you, Marbles.

Summary: A tempestuous confrontation leads two x men to a startling realization.

So I've been sitting here for the past five or so minutes wondering where the "next chapter" button's disappeared to. Whaddya mean it's not there...?

Heh, seriously though. I really like this. Very fun read. I love that they've really made the boathouse "theirs", now. Makes you wonder if they'll ever be able to let go of it!

Ohhh, I'm glad you updated! While I am loving how explosive they come together in the heat of the moment, I really enjoyed the scene with Scott and Jean, there. Logan's intelligence really shouldn't come as a surprise to them, he couldn't have lived a hundred or so years if he was stupid now, could he? Heh.

And ha, I knew I was right when I said, in my last review, that they would one day have trouble giving up the house they worked so hard on. They've broken it in, for one thing. And I doubt anyone else would want to live in it after all the unspeakable things they've done in pretty much every room... ;)

Eagerly awaiting updates!

I really like this! You've got the close-knit family atmosphere of the X-Men right on the money. I love that Storm and the Prof conspire to make Christmas a little more special like that.

This was very cute. Makes me glad to have gotten some Christmas spirit in the middle of April. Ororo's gift made me grin, and I laughed aloud at Logan's to Scott.

I think this last chapter worked really well as an ending. Very sweet. Great job!

Author's Response: Reader feedback is really a great inspiration and yours is appreciated greatly. I would have liked to have this posted for the holiday, but was unable. I\'m glad you to make you laugh, as I\'ve often thought that the rapport between Scott and Logan should lean more on the light side, other than the heavy Jean melodrama.
