Ah, I really like this fic! I like that it isn't very linear (or, it doesn't seem to be?) I dunno, I think it's hard to pull off a story made up of a series of scenes that don't really lead up to one another... but when done right, it's very poignant and lovely and artfully done. Which is what you do here!

And man, I love how it's really obvious how their friendship has soured. Don't get me wrong, it's extremely distressing because I love Jean and Ororo as BFFLs but here it's really obvious that they used to be friends and now they're just using this sweetness to mask how bitter they are. I wonder what happened there?
