Mary was like my dark horse favorite from Fade. I'm so tickled that she's back and she's raised five boys with Kenny and obviously hasn't lost any of her attitude. I cheered a bit when Kenny, just like Logan, makes the mistake of assuming that it's perfectly okay for boys to get handsy and such with girls - and both Mary and 'Roro put them in their place, haha. That's awesome.

Ororo and Jeannie riding the winds together though, that's beautiful. I like that Jeannie is predictably her daddy's little girl, but mother/daughter relationships are like the bane of my existence and I'm so happy you have it in this story. I already know that it's going to be the death of me for this one. Welp.

That cliffhanger, though! Can't wait to see what comes next!

Author's Response: Haha. I absolutely HATE that double standard, so I thought I'd let my girls address it. You know, Mary in Fade was supposed to have one scene. The cafe, she was going to have about 3 lines before I killed her. I'm SO glad I didn't, though. Mary is such a huge part of Fade and Northern Lights. I just posted chapter 5. Have fun!
