oh gods. you've done it again. i've always wondered about that moment of stryker's "creation," particularly after the flashes given in x2, but you've brought it to life -- the twisted frankenstein sort of situation in all its gory, bloody, heartwrenching detail. mwah... and now an even greater emotional depth has been given to the tale. layers upon layers of greatness, my friend. so glad to see another post (although i probably don't need another thing to distract me from term papers and finals). can't wait for the more!!!!

Author's Response: Yeah, i have projects, papers and finals too--so I hear ya on that. RoLo is definitely a distraction. I can just see that as my excuse. "My research paper WOULD have been done, but Logan needed 'Ro and I couldn't tear myself away." Suuuuure that'll go over well. :P

OMGoodness... That was so haunting. Thank you for not having Logan turn away from 'Ro. I'm glad she stayed with him. I have a feeling there's gonna be a tough road ahead of them. As always, this chapter was absolutely brilliant.

Author's Response: Definitely a tough road ahead for our favorite duo. Logan not turning away from Ro is important in revealing his emotions towards her, but also in the dynamic of their friendship. :D I hope that comes through in future chapters.

Damn u, Darlin!! I'll have u know, it is after midnight, local time, and i've been up for hours now with my eyes PLASTERED to the laptop screen (and they're quite glazed over, thank you) as I read through each chapter up to this point. I've even been too busy to get to the next one, I haven't left reviews since Ch 1 (sorry, ;)

I just reread the other chapter, and you have it in there about Mystique's sent changing. I wasn't sure about that, I always thought it was more an advanced technique for her. But in the books that ability is usually one and off, the movies didn't bring it up at all, I'm not sure about the previous novels...wtf, what is wrong with continuty with Marvel writers, don't they read older works, or discuss things with other writers.

Arrg, now I've totally confused myself. I need help.

Author's Response: I try not to rely on Marvel continuity--for cripes sake, when Mystique first appeared I'm almost 100% sure she had to TOUCH you before she could mimick you. So, yeah. But I figured, I'd make her mutation more complete by allowing her to change scents. I mean, if she couldn't then bloodhounds should have been able to track her ass awhile back, y'know. LOL. Don't get confused, I use the philosophy that fanfic is the ONLY source of material. :P
