What a team Erik and Lorna are! Their scene was both humorous and heartbreaking. My mom is a Trekkie as well. She prefers Jean-Luc Picard over the other captains.

Forge is laying that charm on thick, isn't he? I'll be glad when Logan comes back home. I like male pissing contests b/t Logan and Forge. lol

Author's Response: I love Star Trek, but I could never embody the personalities of any of the characters on any of those shows well enough to fic about them. Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you liked Erik and Lorna. Their story is the one that is asking me to tell it since I started writing this. Forge and Logan will butt heads. I promise.

That conversation about Star Trek reminds me of all the conversations that my friends have--the ones that usually have me veering out the kitchen in search of shelter to avoid the fallout. I love the subtle interaction between Ororo and Forge. And it didn't take much to send Erik back on a mission. I think I'm already missing Sweet ol' Erik. Nicely done, but you don't need me to tell you that. :-)

Author's Response: I've had much, MUCH sillier conversations about that topic that have almost erupted into nerdish violence...it's shameful. Oy! Sweet Ol' Erik only seems to exist when he lets him. He's too much of a power addict to ever just be a happy-go-lucky mutant who likes scrimshaw and makes ships in bottles. Ororo and Forge will interact here and there; Forge, as usual, ain't all that he seems. Thanks for reading!

...that doesn't sound good at all. Who let him get near a tazer?

Author's Response: He was a helpless old man (heh). He wouldn't harm a fly! I thought to myself, this is a mostly depowered Magneto who can no longer flip police cars and make bullets fire on their own. He had to get in to break out Lorna somehow!! He will get into more mischief soon.

As always loved the update!! I'm a huge Trek fan myself, but I'll leave most of the arguement points [several that have been answered on the show ie, universal translators which is why everyone spoke English... ;) ] alone. However, Paris was a weenie and not second in command. Chakotay was. :P Hee hee

And Picard all teh damn way! He was sexy as hell, and had Data...Mmmm, Data... **cough** annnyway... Loving on Forge, More soon? **bats very tired lashes**

Author's Response: Chakotay...right. In my mind, Paris and Ryker were pretty much interchangeable. Now see, Chakotay was the one I was drooling over!!! (Data???) Glad you had a spare moment to read. Now go lie down!!! Miss you!

Great update.
I can't wait for more. I wonder if Storm and Forge will start dating and what Logan's reaction will be when/if he returns.

(I have a Star Trek question for you. If Picard was French how come he had a British accent. My mom doesn't get it.)

Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed the update, thanks for the review! Yeah, my mom and I frequently had that argument over Picard and his accent. Picard was such an eccentric captain! Makes you wonder, why did Star Trek even write his character as French??? Of course, a person would also have to ask the question, why did Kirk always talk with a dramatic pause between his sentences!
