Wow that was exciting! That island was a really scary. It's good that 'Ro wasn't sucked in I think she would have gone mad. Good job!

Author's Response: Yeah, she had quite a day of it, being a claustrophobe and all! I'm glad you liked it.

I was happy to see you’d updated so I loaded this on my USB and took it to work to read. Only thing is I started reading this wondering who are all these people? Silly me. I had to re-read the first paragraph to figure out James was Logan and then I remembered James is in a nursing home and – duh – this is one of my favorite stories right now! Guess I had a ‘mental’ pause there.

All right, on with the review! Bad first, okay, there’s not really any bad in the story. Aside from a few wordings that I couldn’t quite make out such as “he nearly cast up his accounts” – what does that mean? Also, what is bluidy? Is it supposed to be bloody? And just a few times I wasn’t able to tell who’s speaking but I truly adore your rendition of the past.

Frankly I wouldn’t have cared to read this if almost any other author had attempted, after all it’s been done before but you’ve a way with a story and most especially with characters. You’ve captured these upstart X-Men too a freaking TEE! Oh how deliciously snobbish our Shiro is, I could just eat him up and I can see and feel this motley crew as if I were one of them strapped in a seat on that sleek Blackbird then out in the field with them just watching everyone in utter awe. Now that’s good writing – no, that’s exceptional writing!

Author's Response: Wheeeeeeeee! LONG review, and a great one, at that! All right, let's see, questions...okay. Moira and Rahne, back in the day when Claremont wrote them both, always used to say "bluidy" instead of bloody, so yes, you are correct. To cast up your accounts is to throw up; I snagged that phrase from any one of hundreds of cheesy Regency romance novels I've wasted my time with. I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals. And Shiro! His personality reminds me of characters like Jean-Paul and Pietro, I love writing arrogant men. They're fun. Thanks for visiting, and I hope you get to write soon, too, kid!

I'm just like Matt, waiting on pins and needles for the rest of this story. Amazing update as usual. I have no idea how this story will end.....the story between Logan and Matt..or Logan's story. I guess I need to prepare myself for some sadness. *sigh*

Author's Response: Thanks. Logan is a guy who would need someone to unburden himself to toward the end of his life, I think, and he would do that after he's pretty much lost everyone he knew. Some sadness, sure. But hopefully, some joy, too. Logan will leave his mark on this world!!!

Oooo, suspenseful. Great action scene. I gotta tell ya', people can say what they want about Claremont but he's still one of my favorites. He gave us fun adventures and interesting stories... he made you want to be part of the team... unlike the crap bein' written today. Excellent choice for your storyline... I'm enjoyin' it immensely. --- W6C

Author's Response: I love Claremont, too, and I think some of the best stories he could have still offered fell by the wayside when they printed House of M, which was a mess...I'm glad you approve. I was in the mood for action in this story, since more often than not, angst and the mushy stuff take center stage in some of my fic. BW calls it "chick lit," and he's right!! Thanks for reading and leaving a review.
