The telepathic conversations between Ro and Jean keep cracking me up.
Old Logan is coming closer to finally being with Ro again, right? Tiny details make me feel that way...
Author's Response: Logan and John...aren't they a pair of hardheads? There will be more girl talk between Ro and Jeannie. Another story of your's I'm in love with :) I made it to chapter 6 so far.
Damn, Logan in a nursing home, that took a while to get used to. The last line of chapter 1 made my eyes water... "Home with Ro." That sounded so damn lost and lonely. How long is he waiting to finally be with her again? That's so sad.
It's funny how Matt was looking more and more forward to spending time with Logan. An unloved task became something that made his whole day :) Like him I can't wait how this tale unfolds! So far it has been fantastic!
Logan constantly swatting at the gnat, Scott taking it out effortlessly - priceless :D Logan's smug attitude, Ro ranting at him... That whole scenario had me grinning widely here.
Men, give them beer and they are happy *rolls eyes* ;) Logan taking Ro's hand in the dark temple to reassure her was a nice moment. I also loved his growling whenever one of the other guys came too close to Ro (or vice versa) for his liking. Moira is a riot! Totally love her! Great moments when they kept surprising each other with their respective abilities :)
Ro snuggled up to Logan on that ice raft was nice, too bad she hurried away as soon as she was fully awake ;) The girl talk - perfect! So funny! Ro's the center of male adoration, I like that. Too bad Logan wasn't there when she came into the room in that nice dress. Nah, it was probably for the best. I doubt simple growling would have done the job this time LOL
Loved how Ro got between Warren and Logan before things got out of control. I wonder how things go from here for Ro and Logan. Right now they are pretty pissed... err... soaked. LOL
But since there's another chapter already, I shall soon know, yay :D Can't wait!

This chapter was all types of delicious. The Ororo/John kiss, the Logan/John pissing contest, Jean and 'Ro's telepathic convos, Sean/Moira flirting and Shiro sulking about all made me grin like an idiot. Now Kitty's coming and the White Queen wants her! YAY!

What have you done? I actually like Jean in this. WHY?? I don't like John. But it doesn't help that I keep thinking of Pyro for this John and then get all confused.
I love how Logan is all protective of 'Ro. So cute.

Author's Response: Because most people who really can't stand Jean have only really seen her in the recent comics, post Grant Morrison, when she became a whiny little girl. Or, the movie, or Evo. Back when Claremont and Lobdell wrote her, she was nicer, funny, and vulnerable. So, I'm trying (probably badly) to recapture that here. Sorta. Glad you like Logan in this! Gambit? Eh. I have a hard time writing him in anything. Maybe toward the end.

Author's Response: That was kinda in the comics, too. They tapped into Cerebro, more or less. I don't know if you ever read the New Mutants books, but Emma had a whole class of mutants called the Hellions. I liked writing the love triangle. It's fun to see Ororo on the receiving end of it for a change. Thanks, Tiger.

Great chapter. Full of conflict an' character study which I love. You didn't get back to the home though... would like to see Matt's reaction to these particular stories. Will be waitin' for the next chapter! Great job, Cee!!

Author's Response: I love the term "rooster dance" and wish I had come up with it! Anyway, Proudstar is hardheaded, but he has his good qualities. 'Course, Logan and John never had much of a chance to strike up a friendship in the original book...and that's all I'm gonna say. And I took my cue from your review, and fixed it!

*chuckles* That was awesome. I love the behind the scenes "girl talk" with Ro an' Jean that we weren't privy to the first time it was in print. That's one o' my all time favorite scenes... Logan mindin' his own business, the li'l redhead shakin' her tail in front of him just enough to cause some trouble... that gal loves the attention an all the boys throwin' down because of her. Great handling of Logan's character, as usual. Actually great handlin' of all the characters...... I still love your Moira better than the original Uncanny version though. Nice job. Ororo saying "smack your own mouth" also came from the women in my family, I glean a lot of phrases from them when I write. I like Logan's character, and since you always write him so well yourself, I value what you think! And your latest update rocked. Moira will be back next chapter, don't worry.

I wonder what Logan meant in his parting words to Warren.... It's good that 'Ro got her two cents in with Logan. I'm surprised Scott didn't chain Jean to the bed after her being gone and in danger for so long. Looking at what happened with Jean it may have been better if he did. Good chapter!

yet another lovely chapter to a tale that i'm really growing to love. the original uncanny storyline is a great one to explore, and i absolutely adore the way you've tweaked with it -- exactly how i've always wanted it to read! already excited for the next update...
