Man that's a whole lotta folks coming into the picture. I wonder what will come of it all. It is nice to see 'Ro as the center of male adoration. :)

Author's Response: Yup, lotta folks. I had fun visualizing that scene, remembering back to Giant Sized issue 1, wondering what it was like when they all first met. In the comic, they were just standing there in costume, suddenly able to speak to each other in English, looking confused. I like the idea of Ororo being the center of attention as the token female, which, again, was something no one ever batted an eyelash at before they went to rescue Lorna and Jean. Time to remedy that!

A new take on some good old-school X-Men. Very nice.

I'm enjoying Old Mr. Howlett a lot. Very Logan, except aged and rumblier.

Author's Response: Thanks! Logan is always whatever age that he is in canon, a guy who has been around for a while, so he's always written as slightly crusty. Actually seeing the physical and emotional effects of it intrigues me when I think of it.

Well, I've said it before and will probably continue to say it but no one, no one writes details like you. It's as if you're there seeing, breathing, living all Logan is. But it's hard for me to imagine Logan in a nursing home, especially putting up with it so I'm very intrigued to see how that happened.

Raven was interesting to say the least and I can see how she could end up there since she seems long lived too. Is there no Xavier's where he could grow old? Does the school exsist? I'm full of questions, most espcially how Ororo passed.

One last thing, the details. I can't say I understood a lot of the technical names for things in chapter one. I know it's due to my own ignorance of medical terms but it left me wondering exactly just what some of the things were. But then I've no idea how you could really feasibly explain each technical term. Again, it's very well written and it's obvious you've had experience in these things which make it all the more real.

Oh, I can't end without saying your output of late has been really phenomenal. I can't keep up! It reminds me a bit of Batman Wolverine when he was around. Digressing, I pm'ed him to see if he was okay but he never responded. Hoping he's all right and hoping your writing's therapeutic for you.

Author's Response: Hey, D. Glad you had the chance to read this. Yeah, I've been a scribbling fool, knocking out chapters when the mood hits me. The school's status is up in the air. Still plotting an outline for his tenure with the X-men, not so much with the school itself. Remember, he is in a nursing home where they know he is a mutant, but he is one of a dying breed. Dying more slowly than most, but you get the basic drift. I also miss BW. I miss hearing the male voice and perspective that he brings to Wolverine, as well as his dialogues. Perhaps he will visit when he is in the mood. Thanks for the review.

Well that was classic Logan being defensive and abrasive as ever. :) I liked 'Ro being hot blooded and ever loyal. Good set up. :D

Author's Response: I like the old school comics with those two. Their conversations were occasionally funny even when it seemed like they were not supposed to be! Gotta love Claremont.

Loved every bit of this chapter. Matt, the Logan/Scott interaction, Ororo telling Logan off, etc. Everything was great. And your attention to detail makes me smile. *sigh* I look forward to more chapters like this one.

Author's Response: for whatever the reason, the details tend to rear their heads before I imagine what I want the characters to say and do. Don't know why. Glad you enjoyed this, madam! Scott and Logan will have more reason to snipe at each other soon (I hope).

Awesome! I love this whole "history of ROLO" thing. Ororo was just perfect. I absolutely love this story, so please continue!

Author's Response: History was high on my mind when started this, and remember, kid, this sprung from the mood set by that song clip you posted. Glad you liked it, thanks for the review. I will eventually continue. I hope other folks respond to your challenge.

lol so cute! I love how she told him off and then stormed off. I love the story time with Matt too :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Tiger! I like 'Ro in the old Uncanny stories, since she was usually elegant even when she was ticked off.

Damn. That's a mighty fine tale you got started here. Full of humor, pain and longing. Great start!

Author's Response: Glad you got the chance to peek at this one, Burnz. For whatever the reason, "pain" was the main prompt that drove me when I wrote this. But you know me, I like making Logan mutter some of the twisted thoughts in my brain! Thanks, buddy.

I just love this! More soon!

Author's Response: Thanks! I wasn't sure how people would respond to it, since it takes Logan to a lonelier place than some of the stuff I write about him. I tend to go the direction, usually, of trying to push Logan toward his friends and family, but this is kind of showing what happened after all of them were gone. Speaking of which...I want an update from you, too, buddy!!!

You set the scene perfectly with your descriptions, CeeCee. You can clearly imagine everything that's going on and feel the emotions that the characters go through. Beautiful *muah*

I hope Logan's with Ro soon.

Author's Response: I want him with 'Ro soon, too. He deserves to rest, but I think that after keeping a lifetime of secrets, and of having so much of his past buried from himself from memory implants, brainwashing, his healing factor forcing him to forget, etc., he will want to unburden himself before he leaves this earth. I'm glad you liked it, Libra, thanks for visiting.

Awesome! This is the first reply to this challenge, an i like it a lot...It's interesting to think just how old Logan is if his healing factor has stopped working properly...Great fic! And i'm glad you liked the song, i love it (never heard the Celine Dion version though - which is probably a good thing).

Author's Response: The Celine Dion version is this cloying, shouting bellow of a ballad that doesn't deserve to be referenced!!!!! I like the one you sent us better, Ana. I hope more people reply to your challenge, it was a fun one.
