You are a true talent. Your descriptions are fantastic. Everything about the nursing home reminded me of when I used to visit my grandmother. You captured the feel of the place so well in this chapter. I also like that the characters are still mutants even though they are retired.

Raven cracked me up and made me sad. Her stuffed animals made me feel for her. She's done terrible things in her life, but she was always one of my favorite villains.

The convo b/t Logan and Matt made me want to jump to the next chapter. I can't wait to read the story of Ororo and Logan. I hope that Logan finds his way to 'Ro by the end of this fic. He seems so sad here.

Can't wait to read more. :-)

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed this, and found it real enough. Raven could be any woman late in her life that has done things she regrets and has lost people she loved, that was what I wanted to touch on, since she is so frequently a woman who burns her bridges. Matt can't wait for the next chapter, either, of Logan's saga.

wow... I don't know if that made me sad or made me want to grin. I'm kind of curious about the chips though. Anyway, great story!

Author's Response: It's hard to say what drove me to write this one. I used to work in a nursing home as a housekeeper, among an older population, and it gave me a lot of insight into things like human comfort and how people react to day to day routines when they don't have many days left. The chips will come into play in this one, not sure how. Read the Mystique series by Joss Whedon if you have not yet, Tiger. 24 issues, well written, and she is implanted with a sensor that helps the government track her whereabouts. Good stuff.
