i'm SO glad you've updated this one.... i've been waiting eagerly for a while now, and you definitely didn't disappoint. pietro FINALLY got what was coming to him (though i am wondering -- is this the last of him? is this all going to somehow come back to haunt logan?), but the plot is definitely thickening again. i'll look forward to anything new you come up with, though i know you're busy and have got loads going on, so i can be patient if i must...

Author's Response: Oh, Pietro...he keeps coming back like a bad penny. I want to update this again soon, but different stories are nagging me, and you know how finishing a chapter of a story can kinda exhaust you? That's what makes me lag on certain stories. I don't think I've ever made updates to Abandon even within a month of each other, let alone within days. Thanks for reviewing, I love to hear from you!

Author's Response: hee hee! Cool! Glad you liked that. I don't write stories under the heading of "humor" because I don't know if someone will find the same things funny that I do, but once in a while if a line stands out in my head that makes me laugh, it makes it into my story. Thanks for logging in!

I went to Barnes and Noble and bought 2 books the other day and haven't finished either one. While they're entertaining and well-written, they fail to grab my attention and make me want more.

This story, this chapter and Logan's dream sequence was truly spellbinding. That piece was perfectly desciptive. I could perfectly see two wolves circling, the wounded bird and snow on the ground, then finally Logan's horror when seeing what he'd done to Ororo.

I totally, absolutely loved this chapter.

Author's Response: I'm smiling fit to bust with this review. Thank you for the praise and vote of confidence. Hey, at least you've been to Barnes and Noble! I went about three weeks ago and walked out emptyhanded! *sniffle* I'm glad you liked the scene with the wolves. Ever since I started taking the medicine I'm on, I seldom sleep deeply enough to dream, anymore. I miss them. When I write a dream sequence, I think I'm putting the dreams my brain wishes it could have to paper. Good to hear from you!

watch your step! i'm in the middle of gushing over this chapter! once again, you have delivered. just when i thought it was okay to breath *bam!* the plot thickens.

i've been meaning to ask, do you have any originals that you share online? i'd love to read them if you do. and if you don't...then you should really consider it. :-D

Author's Response: I don't have any original fiction, alas...not that I don't want to. Back when I was in high school, I said "I want to write the great American contemporary romance novel!" Here I am, almost two decades later, and fanfic is the closest I have ever come. One of these days, I will have a character who speaks with my voice, but til then, I'm just borrowing Claremont's for the occasional romp. I'm so glad you liked this, Shan.

Pietro knows him now, Forge is doing a personality assessment and 'Ro is trying to save him ....what's a boy to do?
Man I hope 'Ro can convince him to stay with her.
Good chapter.

Author's Response: He'd have a hard time staying away from her, just because he already loves her so much, and they have a connection stronger than blood...and blood is the giveaway bonus in regard to guessing the next plot twist. Thanks for visiting, Burnz!

“I’m in love with a werewolf!” LOL Loved that one! :D Forge putting everything together to kill Logan, when all 'Ro wanted was something to help him.. well, for some reason I found that funny, heh. :)

Aww, what a horrible dream. I'm glad Ororo was there for him when he finally woke up.
“Logan, I was afraid FOR you.” *loves*

Damn, the police reopened the case... that can't be good.

Author's Response: Yeah, Forge knowing how to kill Logan IS kinda funny! But that line in that scene grabbed me when it came to me, and I had to run with it. The case almost felt like overkill, but I thought "okay, a hospital ER treats a guy who got mauled by a wolf in the middle of a Massachusetts coastal town, and no one blinks?" It had to come back eventually. Thanks for reading, Steph, and for the great review!

Oh wow, CeeCee. Another amazing chapter you've written. Intense dream, intense crying scene, and Oh MY what's up with the detectives? I'm excited about the next chapter and I can't wait, wait, wait until you've written it.

Kisses sweets,
Rolletti

Author's Response: Rolletti! Yay! Now it's a party! How have you been? Yeah, those detectives...might throw a monkey wrench into Ororo and Logan's lives again. I don't know why, but I like writing dream sequences. I have a few of 'em in a few of my stories. I think I used to dream vividly as a kid. Logan seldom strikes you as the crying type, granted, so when he occasionally sheds a few tears, I think it has to be over something really, REALLY overwhelming. Dreaming of killing the woman he loves and feeling like he's hurtling out of control would do that, I think. Thanks for visiting. Glad you're enjoying this.

Oh my god!! I just thought about it! Pietro is the one who bit Logan isn't he? And the only way to reverse lycanthropy is to kill the one who created the new one! How did i not see this!

Author's Response: Now see here, don't give me an idea for my plot that's better than the one I had in mind!! I only WISH I had come up with the one you just suggested, but alas...no. Mind you, there WILL be some biting going on, and Pietro is about to get a serious butt whuppin'...but I won't give too much away. But still...Nik, that just ain't fair!!! It WOULD have been cool if Pietro had bitten Logan, doggone it!

I did actually like the scene between Ororo and Forge. Is he going to find something to help? Or will 'Ro end up a werewolf too?

Logan's dream was interesting. I'm guessing that silver wolf was Pietro.... something bad is going to happen with that isn't it?

Author's Response: Bad things happen wherever Pietro appears. Pietro was our silver wolf, indeed. As for 'Ro...hmmmmmmmmmmm...

Oh my God! That was pretty intense, dude! SO instead of being like everyone else and saying update this story, I'll settle for you updating some of your other stories....!!! Please!

Author's Response: hee hee hee... I'm getting to it, I promise, Nik. More or less...*looks sheepish and guilty for her own laziness* Glad you enjoyed it.

Ray Darkholme, multiple personalities... loved it!

*snorts* Loved it when Ro was about to get the measuring tape. LOL :D What a great pissing contest! :D But gads, Pietro! I was like "what the hell?" when he showed up and let us peek into his mind to see what he was up to. Ugh. I'm so glad Logan and Ro shoved him out of the door. But did he get the hint? LOL I doubt it.

Author's Response: It's funny. Initially I made that stalker a male before I realized it would have been a better twist to make her a female, and I was planning on using Callisto. In the old Uncanny books, she was just this plain, scraggly looking, wasted thing, and she was jealous of Ororo. But the multiple personalities made sense when I plugged in Raven instead. I loved the visual I had of Ororo watching both men face off, so that made it into this chapter. Glad you liked it, Steph, and thank you so much!
