I guess Ali being distracted is what lead her to be so generous with info instead of just saying her buddy was out of town. Good thing she didn't have the address! I almost sent Pietro into the woods, since that would've left him more vulnerable if he and Logan got into it, since Logan knows the lay of the land. But I wanted 'Tro to see Logan comfortable with 'Ro instead, in her own setting, where he could see that she trusted Logan enough to basically let him live with her, and pretty soon after they met!!! More soon, Burnz!

an outstanding chapter, as usual. i was REALLY hoping you'd choose to update this one after the holidays, as it's definitely one of my favorites (though i AM hankering for a new chapter of 'abandon' and your new chick-lit one). so excited to see the chemistry between 'ro and logan building, and also excited to see the unfolding of the plot with pietro. above all, though, you've got SUCH a way with words. your prose is always so tightly written, and your phrasing always sends a shiver down my spine. out of everything, this one line jumped out at me: "His eyes were narrow and a flinty gray that only hosted warmth when he laughed." don't ask why, but definitely one of my favorite lines. anyway, with that said, can't wait for the next update!

Thanks for reviewing this, it made my day, and it makes me want to update this pretty soon as time allows! Abandon is in the queue, it's been on my mind. And the chick lit one is still on my plate, too! I have fun writing that one.

and another great chapter! i love it when they get to the snugglies. and omg! i was praying at theend of chapter 9 that Logan wouldn't go over to that woman's house and eat her cat! and that just didn't sound right lol

Author's Response: I considered making her cat a harder sell, since he's lupine, and practically canine, but I inevitably would have had the cat spitting at him and him growling back, which would have given comic relief, but I'm saving that up for a future chapter. I won't divulge why yet!

Well at least Logan got the kitty seal of approval. Hopefully he will get the same from the rest of her friends. Speaking of which it looks like things are going well from the start for Remy and Ali. Although Pietro's stock is going down it seems. Good chapter.

Author's Response: Ali and Remy were an afterthought; Remy was just in the background before and he was already established as being in their circle of friends. I figured it was logical for Ali to hook up with him in the heat of the moment, while he was...er, comforting her when Ororo got stalked. And that way, she doesn't give in and mess with Pietro, since he isn't quite the whole package after all. I won't give any more away. And in the real world, I don't think a guy like Logan would even like cats!!
