It's about time, 'Ro! Go get your man!
This update makes me wanna howl with Mofo. Lol

Can I tell you that I just love Scott in big brother mode? I think that Scott's and Ororo's familial relationship is one of the most underused relationship, I wish there were more of that. So thank you.
I also love it when writers end the Logan/Scott bitter rivalry. They may not like each other, what with their alpha male personalities, but they don't any longer hate each other. I absolutely loved their conversation in the bar. It was serious and hilarious at the same time. I'm super glad Scott had the last laugh there. That was priceless!

To Scott: Don't worry; we all heard Logan's apology. :D

Favorite lines this chapter:
(Charles and Ororo's scene)

This was their private time. Not for anyone else to see. This was the norm for Ororo, Scott and Charles. The natural affection shown between a father and his children. Pure and untainted.

Awww!

Oh, PS
To Charles : I forgive you. :D

Author's Response: Shejams, what do I say...I'm speechless. Thank you. I love reading your reviews so much. A A

I love MoFo, I really do!! (Just had to say that ^_^)

I have to say I am beyond thrilled that Charles told Ro to fight for what was hers! And that he also was angry at Jean for her actions. But it was a little hard to read in that area. It seemed a bit disjointed.

I also found it hilarious how Scott got the last laugh at the bar. I could only imagine the looks on everyone's face there! I know I almost died laughing ! ^_^ 😂

Great chappy!

Author's Response: You know what's funny, I don't do dogs in real life, but I love writing about them. Not that I hate them or anything, I am just a germa-phobe and don't like touching them, (my bad). Sorry if the flow of the fic got a little askew for you, but I hope it didn't ruin it for you. Just needed to convey that Charles was loyal to her as her parental figure. So glad I could make you laugh too. A A

OK Angel, I don't know how you do this every chapter I read it and it just makes me yearn for more!!

I understand what Charles was doing, but I don't know if I still fully agree with Jean getting to benefit from the fruits of Logan and Ororo's labors after everything she has put everyone through. I am truly hoping that now Ororo has been forced to really look at everything she has lost she will steel her spine up and fight for what she deserves.

I also hope that Scott's talk with Logan will help him realize that even though it may be painful for him to face the pain and hurt he caused Ororo day in and day out that she deserves so much more than him taking the easy way out and running away. I hope he sees that the only way Ororo is going to see that he really cares for her is to stick it out and fight for her and to prove to her each day that he's there for her and that he's not going anywhere. Doesn't he realize if he leaves he is just feeding her insecurities that she isn't deserving of love or worth fighting for? Come on Logan don't make me come through this screen and shake the metal of your bones!!!

Author's Response: You have me laughing so hard right now I can hardly type. I just want you to know that your response to my fics has more influence than you may know. You are very insightful QTFic. Thank you for always taking the time to leave a review, and reading in the first place. A A

Ok, the rational side of me excepts Charlie's explanation. He did what he thought was right for his children and the members of his extended family. I get that. She and the rest of the xmen need time to heal and the distance the house provides will help close the deep wounds. Now, the not so rational part is screaming to hell with that! You want Jean to heal, then let her build her own damn house. Let her sweat and toil like Logan and Ororo did. She will not appreciate the hard work they put into it. The not so rational part laughs because Jean will be in house that is covered in Logan and Ororo. Literally. :)
Rational side taking back over now.
I hope that Scott and Charles words finally register with Logan and Ororo. It looks like they both finally realize that cant live without each other. I hope that will make them ready to move forward.
