I always love how you can make the transition from one couple to another. You had me hanging onto my seat before with Ororo and Logan arguing and 'Ro's heartfelt talks with Forge, but now I'm rooting just as loudly for Warren and Kitty. What they have feels genuine and easily possible in the "real world" and I was tickled at her comparing their intimacy to a Nora Roberts novel.

That moment with Ororo desperate to get Logan out from the rubble almost made me cry. Damn, that was good. Having her get socked in the gut by reliving the worst day of her life with someone she won't admit to loving was powerful and moving. Consider me moved. It's funny, during the recovery at the sight of the explosion, everyone sought out who they loved. That was excellent.

I'm curious to know what this mission is that made Charles coerce Remy into being rough with Ororo. Ororo and Logan are downright impatient, aren't they? ;-)

Author's Response: yes they are a little impatient but it add more to the story. and the mission will present itself in the next chapter. and you will definetly see why it made the professor do that.

"They are my balls, after all." WAHAHAHAHAHA! Gotta love Scott. I can't stand him in the comics, but I'm starting to like him in fic. Neat cast of characters so far. Neat twist, too, with Warren bringing T'Challa into closer contact with the Summers', and likely, Ororo and Scott. Can't wait! This will be a hard act to follow.

I skipped Civil War and just read the summaries of it on X-Axis and UncannyXmen.net instead, but this was good. Nice that you wove in the different tie-ins of that story and gave us an overview of what could have happened if everyone was registered; reminds me of Days of Future Past.

This was good! Funny that Jean set up Raul's little visit and tryst with 'Ro to get Logan to herself. Cleverly done, since I didn't really see that in the first chapter. Still have some crazy spellings going on in here, and a bit of puntuation that needs fixing, but the story itself is a lot of fun and easy to read in terms of length and dialogue. Good work.

Bringing Charles into Logan's dream was a unique angle, since we saw Logan being pretty broken up about him being killed in that scene (which is one of my favorites). I love the title of this story, and it drew my attention easily to want to read it. Keep it coming.

Author's Response: I felt that was the most emotional scene in the whole movie. You can thank Sugarland for the title. One of my favorite songs and it was while listening to it I came up with the ide of the story.

Wow. How cool is it that you answered my question in this wonderful chapter? That's how I imagine Logan if he looked older, calling to mind how he looked in Days of Future Past in the Claremont comic. Of course, it would still be kinda funny if Ororo were walking around as a fifty-something wiht a sweet young boy toy husband (grinning as I think of Logan as her boy toy). But banish that thought! I really enjoyed this. Mary still rocks. Logan's a fantastic dad, even if he can't remember being a teenager himself. "Bow down, bitch!" I freakin' love that. Sounds like my in-laws.

The summary was funny! Just thought I would mention that.

it had a few spelling goofs that are easy to fix (like "threw" when you meant "through"). I like the take you have of Kitty, she's believable and likable, and the dialogues between your two main characters is once again very good.

The list of stores at the end was okay, but the last sentences there almost made it feel like you weren't done writing yet. One more beef: You switched tenses at about the time that Ororo was driving them to the mall, it became first person instead of third.
