Lets see, I always hate these things because I never know what to write.

Hmmm, well I'm new to the fandom, but not new to fanfics and writing. The link on my profile page has one of my fanfiction.net accounts, if anyone wants to see some of the previous stories I've written.

I have somewhat of a love affair with words. I love certain phrases or lines in description that for that amount of time seem to invoke the perfect combination of feeling and creativity for that scene. So if anyone ever receives a review from me about a line that i particularly liked or caught my attention, please know that's one of the highest compliments i can give you.

Moving away from the writing aspect, I've been an on and off again fan of X-Men since before the 90's cartoon time. Always been a fan of Wolverine, my love of Storm stemmed more from the release of the last movie more than anything else not to mention the idea of those two getting together.

Now that I'm more aware of how deeply rooted for a time those two were in the comic, I can honestly say I can share the pain most of you felt when she was paired off with Black Panther.

Granted, I still think in the back of my mind, when they finished all the exploiting storylines they can muster, she'll be written back with the X-Men with some sort of excuse explaining the ordeal and everything will be back to normal.

In the meantime we all must settle for fanfiction!

Despite no 'Ro, I liked this chapter. This is the second time where you've given us a dynamic family setting for Logan's family. I can clearly see where Logan and John get their roots from.

“Geez, where did you two get those potty mouths?” Rose insisted.

“Hell if I know,” Jonathan tsked, taking a gulp of his apple juice.

I loved that part. It's interesting (meaning very good) what you did with Rose and Vic's parts. Vic especially, I have to chuckle slightly from the relationship they have in this story. A nice little spin on it.

It's also interesting to note that Logan still can't get what happened in Mexico as well as Ororo's office out of his head.

To be honest I'm greatly anticipating when Ororo and Logan get things settle and he gets to introduce her to his family. That's going to be something to wait for.

Author's Response: I had fun with this. Logan's dad seems like he should be a lot like Logan himself, both family men for the most part, even though Logan is trying to immerse himself in his work and other stuff on his mind. He's a good son, though, underneath his hangups. I'm glad you're enjoying it, Brandon!

Oh wow, I'm looking forward to next chapter. And I assume the last line probably came from Scott. I swear I know exactly what Logan's doing. Maddie is safe somewhat replacement for Jean. Even he knows what he feels for her doesn't have any real depth. Hopefully he'll come around soon and come to terms with who he's already set his eyes on.

I have a feeling next chapter Maddie is going to get her feelings hurt. If not, Logan seeing Scott with Ororo might tip him towards 'Ro's direction. It was a good play of having Scott find out that Ororo was the Tory he met in Mexico. I see Scott playing devils advocate to provoke Logan into action.

I see Creed does make an appearance after all and is Ororo's ex. I wonder when the events of how she lost their baby will come out. I'm interested in finding that out as well.

Anyway good chapter lass, Keep 'em coming.

Author's Response: once again, you hit the nail on the head. you always get me and where I am going with a plot before I even unravel it. Scott is in Logan's corner, but also tends to want to worry about him and save him from his self-destructive self. Ororo's past with Victor is still in progress. It will build up more later.

My god i feel bad, I had to do a Google search for Jackson Pollack.

Anyway, can't tell you how much I was looking forward to this update. *Sigh* Scott, Scott, Scott, a dangerous game you play. It's funny, because it had the desired effect, I'm just glad Ororo wasn't receptive and Scott picked that up right away. I'm sure that didn't make Logan's knuckles tighten any less though.

And Logan, you wuss. Just could not let Maddie down gently, but then again, she was borderline desperate anyway. In all of this I almost feel bad for her. At least Scott's aware of what's going on between Logan and Ororo. Maddie's just making herself blind to Logan's general disinterest.

I also love how we finally find out what occurred with Jean. You gave us hints along the way, but there wasn't anything clear cut. I feel bad for Sara because it seems like she really does need help cooping, but it almost seems like she's doing more harm than good, renewing the pain within Logan.

She probably should consider a date with Scott, if anything it would get her mind off of things. Plus he's a good guy, I know he'll treat her right. But I suppose there is a time thing, with her divorce and coupled with her still cooping with Jean's death.

Anyway, good chapter lass.

Author's Response: Scott's funny. He's actually a good friend, he's just getting Logan's goat. Maddie's making herself blind, but Logan is waffling. There's a LOT more going on with Jean's history and why it makes Logan the way he is. Being a widow is one thing, but his marriage was rocky. Sara wants to help. Things will brighten soon. But she needs to help herself first. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

LOL! OH MY GOD That was unbelievably awesome!

I was sitting here thinking how was he going to get out of this and 'if' he was going to get out of this. The handcuffs, priceless. And lets be honest here, five months down the line, Maddie probably would have welcomed the handcuffs. Either way, Bravo!

Now we need Scott to play matchmaker and get Tory and Logan together.

Also, I have to say you've done it again. Here is another story were I love Jean's character. I love the subtle way she and Logan got together. I mean Logan said he only wanted a mate, but she pretty much was his best friend. I'd even go as far to say that it was a shame she's no longer living.

Author's Response: Those handcuffs were just begging to be written into this story. But I figured if he had gone through with sending them to her, she would hvae had him fired for office harrassment...this option seemed the safer bet. Yeah, five months might have made a difference in changing Maddie's tune, huh? Good point, B. Jean isn't the cock-blocking, two-faced vixen she often is in RoLo fic in this story. I dont like always having Logan choose Ororo after he's grown tired of chasing Jean, that's been done before. He should be with Ororo because he likes her best! But yes, I want Jean to be likable. She deserves it!

You're on a roll hon.

Next chapter is really going to be very interesting. I really took special note that how Logan compared Maddie to Ororo and now Jean. That actually show's a bit of progress on his end.

I honestly can't wait to see what you do next with this. I can honestly see how Scott could have a field day with this.

Author's Response: That bit with him thinking about Ororo was actually a little premature on my part, since Ororo stll drives him crazy for bad reasons! But I want him to start opening up to the thought of her beyond the chemistry they have. Scott's gonna definitely have a field day with this.

OMG those two are soo stubborn. Here I thought, FINALLY! But no masks had to be put back in place. Personality shields back up to full.
But alas the damage was still done. The two of them really need to sit down and try to work this out. Or they're going to get caught for real next time. I wonder what ol'Scotty boy will have to say about this one.

Author's Response: I know, ol' Scotty boy will be all "what did I miss?" when those two are either sniping at each other or not speaking. I always love your reactions to my stuff, Brandon, you ask great questions and give helpful feedback.

Hon, I know the feeling about when life puts your fandom on hold. I've been trying to get back into the swing of things for a bit now too. But I'm glad to see this update.

I swear Ororo and Logan often go at each other like cats and dogs, but then they'll have moments here when they seem like they've been together for years. Especially the way they hen-pick at each other. Ororo with her insisting on taking Logan to the airport. And Logan insisting on giving her, his coat so she wouldn't be cold. Not to mention they have those moments when they just "click".

I thought it was cute that they were slightly awkward when they departed. Not knowing to hug, kiss or whatever.

I also love Scott again. I think he's becoming my favorite secondary character in this series.

Good job as always hon. Can't wait to see more.

Author's Response: I always love hearing from you, Brandon, because you read my mind on some of my motives and ideas of where I want to take these characters next. I like writing these two as an "old married couple" when they fight sometimes. It can't always be about these two tearing each other's clothes of between closed doors, they need to get to know each other. Glad you like Scott. Back in the day, he was one of my favorite Uncanny characters when Claremont was writing him; the only part of him that i hated was his infidelity with Jean when he was with Maddie, then with Emma when he was back with Jean. But he's fun to write; he always seemd dumbfounded by Ororo and Logans respective antics in the comics, so I wanted to transfer that to this story, too. I hope you'll start writing when the mood strikes you and when you have time and inspiration, B. Losing my grandma was hard. It shoved a lot of creative things to the backseat for a while.

My apologies Lady, I hadn't checked the site in a while and I didn't know you updated. And what a whooper of a chapter this was. I have to say, "YES! Scott finally decides to play hardball!"

I figured sooner or later, he'd would have gotten tired of Logan and Ororo's crap, but the sudden power move he made was superb.

It was a masterful play, but I think it had half the affect he was hoping for. The two of them made some grounds on their feelings for each other. Not to mention the know a little bit more of what each other was going for, which again is a big plus.

But the problem is they didn't make any resolutions with each other either. Namely, they didn't acknowledge that they do have feelings for each other that run deeper than what they show on the surface. So it's kinda like two steps forward, one step back type of thing.

Plus I think Ororo might feel doubly guilty, because of fact that her running out on Logan the morning after, kind of parallels the events around Jean’s leaving Logan. I really felt for her during the end of the chapter.

I think the two of them need another long talk. One that I hope that Scott doesn't have to chaperon.

Another thing I noticed, I'm guessing you're not making Ororo claustrophobic, because the first thing I was thinking of when Scott locked the two of them in the closet was of her claustrophobia. But oh well, excellent as always. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: They will talk again. Definitely. And I didn't bring in her claustrophobia this time. In a sense, she is a loner and very independent because she doesn't like being smothered emotionally, so that in a sense is claustrophobia of a kind, isn't it? But it's not physical and literal this time. Ororo's letting herself feel some guilt, and even a hint of regret about what could have been, if they'd kept in touch, even if she isn't big on the whole "pen pal" issue. Scott isn't off the hook.

My apologies a second time hon, I didn't know you posted 2 chapters. That was a nice holiday treat.

This is going to combine a bit of this chapter with chapter 17 as well, since i now know what happens in both.

This chapter again made want to ring both of their necks at the same time. Once again we have a chance to see them both letting down their guard and they connected so well. It was sweet how they bantered back and forth. And its obvious that despite what lies they tell each other, their attraction to the other is not based solely on physical and sexual appeal.

They like pushing each others buttons. They like driving the other crazy. They like taking the other out of their "civil" business mode and unleashing the wild side that each of them possess. It's so obvious that its nearly slapping each of them in the face.

But of course the moment that one of them clenches up in the slightest. Full power to defenses and shields, reverse thrusters and escape. Their argument in this chapter revealed sooo much of how much their actions hurt the other, that I actually felt sorry for the both of them.

Chapter 17, I hated Ororo's attitude towards Logan, with generalizing him with a large assortment of "lesser" boys. She knows deep down inside her heart that he's not like that, but she's so scared of what happened with Vic that she's using that as an excuse to keep Logan at arms length.

If she leaves in Jan. It won't be the end of their problems. Because they're thinking their are other fish in the sea, but truthfully, its more like that was their one in the million.

Author's Response: Every once in a while, I have to divide a chapter into two because I just can't get enough of hearing myself talk. You always know where I'm going with my line of thought, and I love hearing your feedback and intuition, because you always make me reframe and rethink Ororo and Logan's motives, B. I appreciate that from you. I miss your writing, but I'm always glad to hear from you. But you hit the nail right on the head. Ororo does have a jaded attitude toward men in general after Vic, it isn't appropriate that she let it spill over onto Logan, but he isn't blameless, either. He avoids anything potentially deeper with her because of their initial misunderstanding, he's very indignant toward her for deserting him, and he hasn't separated her doing that from what happened with Jean. And you're right, they love getting a rise out of each other!

Finally! I swear I was almost going to write myself in the next chapter and force the two of them to get a long. No offense but this is how they should have resolved their first 'conference'. ^^

I have to hand it to Logan, ill-rational jealousy seemed to work in his favor this time. I also liked how the majority of the chapter was spent on him observing her. It was like majority of it was Logan almost acknowledging everything except how deep his feelings run for Ororo.

Ororo, i think this was was stronger chapter for her as well. We get a bit more of her motivations out. Now it doesn't seem completely out of place her deeply rooted fears and generalization of men. Granted, I find it ironic that while she easily categorize Logan as such the type but Scott remains spotless. Then again, Scott's the "safe" male friend so it's not surprising.

Now it took 18 chapters but our favorite couple has finally got over their first major hurtle. And that's the beginning. I know there is so much they need to tell each other. Which I'm really looking forward to. If they can pull it off without any real butting of the heads or even if they do butt heads just to give the other a chance. I think it might be clear skies for our RoLo.

Author's Response: There might be a little more turbulence! You know I love my angst! But you're right, buddy, Scott was the go-to guy and "girlfriend" for Ororo in this chapter, as he has been up until now. He's meant to be a buffer, yet at teh same time, to point the finger at how foolish they're both being. It's just funny, since usually, I can't stand Scott in the comics, cartoons or the movies. Now, with their first "meeting," I considered them going at it and making amends, but it didn't feel right to me, they needed some straight talk first, and they weren't going to get it if they were ripping each other's clothes off. So, I wanted to give them the chance to get a few thigns off their chests. Then, if they were still willing to deal with each other after a dose of truth, THEN they could rip each other's clothes off. Hee hee.

Anyway, let see. Besides the Selena thing which, Ro has a good case on. Not to mention she filed it correctly. Ro and Logan, both need to learn how to ease up on each other. And just leave business aspect of their lives alone. They boy have difficult jobs, that require a lot of time and dedication. No point in making harder on each other.

Author's Response: Exactly, man! You speak the truth. Preach on, B. What\'s crazy about these two is that they never knew they worked together when they hooked up on vacation, and they strike me as two people who NEVER would have s**t where they ate, dating someone who they work with if they had their way and hadn\'t done things backwards. But there it is, too much chemistry and things in common to deny what\'s between them, so they have to live with it and learn to play nice. That part\'s coming. Thanks for reading and reviewing. And yeah, Selene needs to step off.

First I want to say congrats on finishing college i know that's a major accomplishment, one I should be achieving later next year. Also great to see another chapter to this story.

My problem is, there are ramped spelling errors running through the story that detracts a lot from what's going on. Also towards the end there was some capitalization problems too. Two minor errors that can be corrected with an additional proofread so that's not a major problem.

I'm interested in the direction the story is going to right now. I'm about weary about Emma and Richards involvement with Logan and Ororo. I hope eventually those two will take a hint and leave things be. And it seems Jean is pregnant, I wonder who's the father.

Author's Response: I know I know...it was really late and I was in such a rush to get the chapter out. You would think that with more free time on my hands I'd be able to at least push the spell check button. Thanks for following, and I'll do better. Promise
