Lets see, I always hate these things because I never know what to write.

Hmmm, well I'm new to the fandom, but not new to fanfics and writing. The link on my profile page has one of my fanfiction.net accounts, if anyone wants to see some of the previous stories I've written.

I have somewhat of a love affair with words. I love certain phrases or lines in description that for that amount of time seem to invoke the perfect combination of feeling and creativity for that scene. So if anyone ever receives a review from me about a line that i particularly liked or caught my attention, please know that's one of the highest compliments i can give you.

Moving away from the writing aspect, I've been an on and off again fan of X-Men since before the 90's cartoon time. Always been a fan of Wolverine, my love of Storm stemmed more from the release of the last movie more than anything else not to mention the idea of those two getting together.

Now that I'm more aware of how deeply rooted for a time those two were in the comic, I can honestly say I can share the pain most of you felt when she was paired off with Black Panther.

Granted, I still think in the back of my mind, when they finished all the exploiting storylines they can muster, she'll be written back with the X-Men with some sort of excuse explaining the ordeal and everything will be back to normal.

In the meantime we all must settle for fanfiction!

As many times as I've read different variations of how a RoLo family life would be like, Ceecee ya always put your own spin on things. I took special notice of Logan's role in his household too. The favoring nature he had with both his daughters struck such a compelling cord that, it seemed like a page taken straight from a play write. Ororo taking the role of the no nonsense mom, especially since I know their daughters would have Logan wrapped around their fingers.

Ororo from the beginning struck me as being the backbone of this family. Where Logan can be more easy going, Ororo is the person to keep things on tract. But they play well against each other because I know Logan will step in when even Ororo gets flustered. Either way they all struck me as a strong family household.

And to be honest, (no pressure because I know you have much on the plate as it is) I would have loved to see more of this written out. Even have the present day family life mixed in with flashbacks that fleshed out in more detail how Logan and Ororo got together.

Of course like I said, I know you got all sorts of things your working on already, but given how well this story was. I thought I'd just have to say.

Author's Response: This is a one-shot, and it was already growing pretty long by the time I wrote the scene with the kids. But you're probably right. More concerning how they fell in love would make sense. I just wanted to offer a brief glimpse of how the ice might have been broken between them, where they became more than grudging acquaintances and really just became friends. The scene between Ororo and Mariko combing her hair was inspired by pretty much any time I'm with my daughter Taylor. The difference is, my husband can't braid hair, but he has taken the kids off my hands when we've all driven each other nuts. And he DOES call my coffee creamer "that crap you like." Constantly. I don't have a strong family household myself, but I do idealize what that would involve. Thanks for your thoughtful and insightful feedback, Brandon. I always enjoy hearing from you.

Dude, you're back! And packing heat it seems. Nice little movie-verse story. I was a bit distracted with Gambit being present because of with where Origins takes place wouldn't he have been in his 50s or 60s, since it depicts Ororo being a toddler. But then I realized that we don't know how far in the past his meeting Remy was so its all good.

Either way it was a good read. Although I wanted to strangle Logan when Ororo found him back in the party. Its great to see you haven't lost your touch and I hope to look forward to see more from ya, lass. Happy New Year!

Author's Response: HEY! I can understand Remy throwing ya, but given Logan's agelessness and the fact that Wolverine seems to span a few dozen years, i just assumed Gambit was a more recent acquaintance ;). I'm glad you liked it, and as always, thank you so much for reviewing!

My apologies, I didn't realize you posted another chapter. I have to say this addition left a better feeling in my gut to these two future. The alternative pretense of Gambit helped to fill in some of the scene. And i'm glad you didn't play too much into Emma's role. (granted she's to be in Origins also, we'll overlook that)

I have to agree with another person's review, this chapter seemed more emotional driven. The havoc that Ororo plays on Logan's heart, is really well felt. Almost understand why he sought to be with Emma...Almost.

Either way, a nice addition. Just as good or even more so than the first.

Author's Response: No apologies needed. In fact, I should apologize. I've been meaning to read and review your fic, but I haven't had a lot of free time. Know that it's on my "to-do" list, and I look forward to it! *Grin*

Hah! Ororo beat him for his camera. I have to say this is an interesting start. A deviation from your usual A/U stories. I have to admit thought I was a bit hesitant to read because I have no real love for Remy. And from the way the story description was written I know there will be a a bit of "Oreo?" in here.

Oh well, i'll see how things turn up. I'm interested in seeing where Logan's place will be in all of this.

Author's Response: Yeah, Ororo and Remy. I know. Not usually something I read much of myself. I see those two having chemistry, but Remy's character annoys me in canon comics. Logan will show up again.

Interesting chapter. A lot of good dialogue is written between Ororo and Remy, you can truly feel that the two of them are completely from two different worlds and this incident between them has really been alarming to say the least.

I'm still trying to get a feel for the direction the story will be going, but I think that's just a reflection of the fact you're having a bit of the same problem as well.

But I was thinking off-handed and I have an idea of where you can take the story, if you choose to use it. I'll email it to you. Tell me what you think.

Either way, keep writing! ^^ You gals keep giving me inspiration to keep going to.

Author's Response: thanks for sending the email. I liked your insight into my plot. I enjoyed writing the dialogue, it started off with them righteously angry at each other, then kinda diverged to them bickering.

I have to say this is becoming more interesting with every chapter. I'm interested in seeing what Remy plans to do exactly. I feel bad for Ororo because she's got a difficult position she doesn't want to be pitied upon but yet she clearly in a situation that warrants help also.

I can also see where the problems with Ororo and Remy's backgrounds will become a problem later. A few lines by Remy ruffled my feathers the wrong way. But in honestly he can't be to blame, its probably assumed that he's never had a life as hard as Ororo's so there are just things he's not going to get.

And we finally have Logan introduced to the other two.

Hate to say this hon, but MOAR!

^^

Author's Response: Remy is still learning about Ororo and how far he can go with their communicating and conflicts. He means well, but it will be a lot of work to connect with her beyond their immediate chemistry. Remy's life had its problems, but he's come a long way. He could end up back on a rocky path eventually, but I won't give up too much. Go back a chapter or two, though, and take a look at Remy's key chain. *hint* And yes, Logan will be popping up more soon.

Hon, definitely feels like you have a better 'feel' for where you want to take this story. I noted that you had a lot of good use of metaphors running through this chapter.

After we've seen the development of Remy and Bella's relationship, I have to wonder if part of the attraction he has with Ororo stems from the fact that he has so much control over everything that's happening to her currently. For instance with Bella, she was a fiery talent that constantly twisted and competed with for dominance, but with Ororo's growth, Remy is basically pulling all the strings.

I like seeing Logan slowly but surely making more of a presence in this story. I'm having the belief again, that out of all the players in this story, Logan is going to be the one that's that going to be the most honest with her. He's basically been at each stage of Ororo's development. And since he's an outside player, he has the most objective view on everything. And although he might not be one of the most favorite people right now, I can see that changing soon.

Anyway later lass, keep up the good work!

Author's Response: I'm grinning and glowing over here, friend. Yes, Logan will likely have a good understanding of Ororo, but he will have to get to know her first, and she already has it in mind that he's too poky, nosy and opinionated for her taste, where she's trying to rise above where she's been. Ororo will have issues with Remy, too, and he won't be the only one pulling strings, considering the industry she's standing at the threshold of. Bella will pop up once in a while. The honeymoon period for Ororo is just about over. Thanks for the compliments and suggestions! Glad you liked the metaphors.

This was another weird chapter for me. I see what you mean about filler. I hate those chapters myself, but as a part of a story you realize it has to be done in order to get to the next stage.

Also it's weird because it seems to me that Remy was again approaching the slightly overbearing territory, And it really kinda puts Ororo in an awkward position, because I don't think he's ever considered the fact that Ororo might not want to be a model. But he is thrusting this career on her anyway, if she wants it or not.

And he's somewhat unrealistic with his expectations with her, also. For a number of years she hasn't been employed, let alone a residence to call her own. But now she's suppose to be considering all these high stakes moves that will not only elevate her social status but it puts a tremendous amount of pressure on her. It's like every thing that she does there is a little New Orleanian voice in her head saying "Don't screw up, petit!" And I know in the back of her mind she's thinking, "If this doesn't work, will he throw me out to the curb?"

I'm sorry if this is coming out as a rant, but it's like a lot of people have been commenting on how much they love Remy in this story and are almost rooting for a Remy/Ro relationship, but it's troubling to me because of how much influence that Remy has on Ororo's life right now. Literally, if he wanted to he could toss her out on the street and forget he ever knew her. But if he does make a play for her, it comes into that whole dominating territory, or a pseudo Woody Allen type situation. Where he's nurtured her growth then wants to consummate the relationship sexually.

Plus is Ororo just an easy escape from the havoc relationship that he has with Belladonna, because if that's the case, he's doom to repeat the same mistake.

Phew....Wow, all that and I haven't talked about Logan. That guy... I like the blues musician portion of his life. I honestly was going to add a musical segment to something of my own. But it was nice to see here, and the harmonica that was a nice switch. Most people would put him with a wooden classic guitar, (which i honestly probably will do), but again I love the originality.

I have to say we don't come into a good portion of Logan's life. I have to wonder if the music is an escape from the taxi cab life or is the taxi cab an escape from his personal life. Either way, a lot of bad mojo was going on. I honestly thought that Logan might have jumped the gun a bit, then that message came on and it was like... "You whore!" I can honestly see that guy squaring off from women for a while. Makes me wonder how Ororo will change all of that.

Sorry again for the rant hon. ^^ later!

Author's Response: Logan is male. Men have a different arguing style than women. But he was frustrated, and everything came out sounding harsher than he wanted, you could tell by his thought patterns for a while. Poor guy couldn't back off and just eat some potato chips and call it a night. Remy isn't gonna be "Woody" in this...gads, I hope not. That's creepy, man! Ororo wants to trust Remy, yet Remy also wants to trust Ro. There's baggage there in his life, too, not just regarding his old love life. He has needs. Women LOVE men with needs. But we'll see. I might update Getaway before this one, just because it's less complex. Thanks for the review, and the rant. I'm always interested in different reactions from folks who read my stories.

Hmmm...I was always wondering if someone was ever going to make an addition to that episode. I've had an idea in mind but rather it would be going in the opposite direction. A story of how Storm and Wolverine met. And despite being in war times how they found love and got married.

I have to say this was an interesting read. But the way you have the summary stated, I was thinking that you had planned for a long series.

Also for a bit of critique, have to remember to capitalize the letter in the beginning of each sentence. Dialogue included. There are various areas were that's not done.

Anyway, look forward to more.

Author's Response: Your story idea sounds interesting. If you ever write it, I'd like to read it. I do have plans for using these two in future Beacon stories, though those stories wont necessarily focus on them, but if you have any suggestions for rewriting the summary for this story so that it sounds like a one shot I'd like to hear them. And thanks for the critique. I'll look through the story and fix that problem.

Ah this was a cute little short one-shot. And I know what you mean, sometimes I get the feeling for a small story that won't leave me until I write it also.

I think its a weird thing that all writers get from time to time.

Anyway, i liked this. There wasn't any wall-to-wall drama. No, large devotions or confessions of love. But it hits a warm-fuzzy part inside of you anyway.

Good job

Author's Response: Nice to know somebody understands my slight frustration! lol! Aw, thanks :D Thanks for the sweet review, it means alot. Expect maybe a few more of these little one-shots, I'm still not done XD Thanks again!

I have to say this was a strange story to come upon. A combination of two of my favorite loves RoLo stories and Sin City. Can't say enough how much I love Sin City. I'll probably go watch the Hartigan story after this in fact.

Anyway getting back to the actual story, there was some interesting liberties you decided to take from the original. Granted, I don't see Vic being the child molester sort, so its understandable.

All in all, I'll diffidently be looking for more from this later on. And I hope if anything this motivates you to finish the story. Later!

Keeping moving along with the second chapter. You have a few details that I loved. The origin of Logan's Wolverine name, I thought that was kind of clever. Not to mention a few key sentences of description, such as the light bulb color.

I honestly thought Ororo was going to ask to stay with Logan, until they capture the killer. But perhaps that comes in the future. Either way, some good stuff hon. Great to see you updated.

Author's Response: She definitely had to escape. It's very important that she does. And you're a step ahead of me, Logan will be talking to Scott about not making sure that backdoor was locked. Don't worry! It's Scott's own personal car.
