Author's Response: And I would say that I am INSANELY flattered!! Jean in BB was a user. Jean in Winds of Change was her bestest friend. Hm...was KC Jean a user? Probably. It depends on what comicverse I write. I like Jean in 616 for the most part. Dislike her Ultimate counterpart intensely (although I prefer Ultimates) and have no real affection one way or the other in movieverse. Soooo, Yeah, I view Ultimate Jean as a manipulatro and user. The same with Ult. Xavier. He seems far more ruthless than his 616 counterpart as well. I like that. Many people don't, but I don't see him as evil. I see him as a man driven to the same degree Magneto is. Don't feel bad for Logan, he's only being used as much as he lets himself be used. He knows the score. Jean does love Logan to an extent and Scott, but in Ultimates it is far more about herself than either of them. 616 is ALL Scott. More soon!

You have just earned about one of my longest reviews. I have people who wait long and hard to obtain one of these...but you got it with this fic.

Not only is this your best fic, and I plan on reviewing every chapter, but I have seen a marked improvement from the BB series. Dear god, I really love this fanfic. I do believe it's the best. The writing is on par. Somoene out there finally sees what I see in Scott. I adore that character, most people bash him, think he's a stick in the mud. I just see a man who's been cuckoled for years and still loves that damn wench. You have no idea how happy I was that he got Emma, and I don't even like Emma.

I love how you, as the only writer I know, to actually tap into that unknown Scott, not Cycke, but Scott. And definitely the way you did it through 'Ro. You brought out that fantastic brother/sister relationship that has always been there, and you fleshed it out and made it an uncompromising and raw friendship. I almost, and I'm such a wimp, cried because I saw that. I think your writring is giving more to the characters that not even the comic writers ever did. And I definitely appreciate that.

I'm actually more interested in finding out more about Scott and Storm as friends, companions, and teammates---more than I'm interested in actually the Storm/Wolverine romance. Don't get me wrong, I love the romance--didn't create my yahoo group if I didn't. But this fic definitely has gone further. This does me remind me of your BB story because you did this with my fave Storm. Wild, in your face, and untamed Storm. It reminds me of Storm,without the powers, the new Storm. She doesn't mince words or dance around. She's who she is, you either accept her or not. But what's the added feature that makes her unique in your stories, you keep her human and you bring back that tenderness and empathy she always carries. I love that and I loved the past 8 chapters that you've given us of.

My favorite scene was when you brought in Dazzler and Lorna...merci! Danke schön! Thank you! I love your Dazzler----psst...I wouldn't mind seeing Dazzy hook up with Alex. I loved how you made Scott, the Scott, I always figured was hidden. Finally, a Scott who'll get a woman who loves him. Not one who claims you loves him, but fucks someone else in his place. I have always hated the flirtationin the comics and of course the later sex of JG/W and I like that you have Lorna as probably helping him heal and bringing back that steadfast love and devotion that he deserves and maybe add a bit of spontaniety.

Thank you for that. I'm so happy Storm brought that and of course I know the knowing friendship between between Dazzler, Alex, Lorna, Hank, Storm and Scott will be. Formidable and real. I don't want to discount Wolverine's role...because hopefully he'll learn to be a somewhat team player or if anything learn from his ways and be an adult and also a man. One who appreciates a lady. As for Jean...I'm sure you know my feelings not a fan and Ido't think she deserves love because she doesn't know what it means. Wolverine hasn't made a face, you know what you get, Jean is a liar and deserves a smack---psst..but I'd settle for Lorna/Scott love! ^_^

Anyway the dialogue is fantastatic, true to character and on point, I love the lines here in this last chappy with the Scott/Ro interaction. Snoopy boxers, that Scott, gotta love him. I love Storm's 'armpit of roses' cute very cute. It's just all around great. I love Lorna's..Bitch thing. I personally think she's right. It was realistic seeing them come out of their mouth. I love the actions. I loved picturing Scott dancing and finally without the shades. Super hot. thanks for that image. I love Scott!! And definitely the image of Storm parting the waters like Moses...super wicked. I would love to see more displays of Storm's power.

The detail was on point, as I said imagery was fantastic. I love the plot so far, and I hope to God this turns into a series like BB. You have no idea how much I wish that. Because I could read this indefinitely. Just to see more drama between Dazzler/Alex/Lorna/Scott/Jean--cinqdrangle that I can picture. But just to see Lorna and Scott..seriously major power couple right there. I'd love to see a developed friendship and brotherly love between Alex and Scott...and always the neverending drama that could invovle Wolverine and his enemies.

It would be fantastic to bring back Vic..for at least a bit, personally it'd be cool to meet Gretchen and see more of that. I thought you left it open enought o devle into. Anyway there's a l ot to play with it and I'm definitely backing up a long extended series. You can be sure you'll see me reviewing each and every single chapter.

Anywa...I say you make Storm drag out the Wolverine thing, so Wolverine can stop sniffing after Jean when he needs to expend some pent up energy and realize Stormy is well worth the wait. Hey ever thought about a bi tof Gambit/Jubie!! Okay so that's me putting in a plug for one more pairing. ^_^

Oh let's see what else,.again I'll review each and every chapter, i just watned to bring that out htere. Because it's your lastest chapter and i felt it was a great pause...excellent chapter and piece and shows the definition and extent of Storm and Scotts relationship and also a bit of realization and reflection on Wolvie's side.

Thank you so very very much for this wonderful, inspiring review **hugs** I am glad that Scott is being so appreciated. He deserves it. ;) He does still love Jean (God knows why) and that particular driving force and inner turnoil gives Scott a dynamic many characters don't have, and unfortunately that is never really flushed out in the comics or otherwise. Wolverine, though a bit gruff, is intelligent and sensitive (people forget that) and I see an awakening of sorts in his future, inspired in no small part by Scott. (Go figure). Lorna, Alex, Hank and Dazz will be featured in this, and you're right, they will have strong presence. There's a lot more to this fic that I want to tell, and I have plans for at the least two parts, so you get one wish. :D I do hope I don't disappoint. Reviews as in depth as this sometimes make me nervous, like OK, I'm gonna fumble the ball and royally fuck up the game. (But don't let that stop you from reviewing). You mentioned Vic and you were right, I left that open intentionally, as he will be around again. Scott and Storm as friends and that bond has so firmly implanted itself in my mind and heart for this fic, so don't expect that to fizzle as more rolo develops (and there will be rolo :D ) Jean is a complex character to me. As much as I want to understand her, I can't, and aside from the Phoenix storyline in the comics, she holds little to no appeal to me as a character. She's mundane. I may be the only person that feels that way (though I doubt it) and I often wondered what kept Scott so ...atached...hmmm. ;) On a side note: I am still a member of your yahoo group, and try as I might I could never formulate a cohesive enough plot for the AU fic I wanted to post there. :( Sorry about that. The kiss between Scott and Ororo is too funny! I can totally relate, actually. KIssing someone that's becoming your best buddy and (thankfully) realizing there's nothing there of passion. Keeps you from messing up a good thing.

Your writing is so descriptive, but it moves forward at the same time. You keep us moving right along, while stopping to paint us a wonderful picture of the scene. So many authors don't achieve that balance.

The Ororo/Scott friendship is really nice. I like seeing them talk together, 'cause it seems like they never do talk to anyone else, both being extremely reserved people. Plus the Jean/Scott/Lorna/Logan/Ororo pentagon does wonders for your plot.

I hope you bring Lorna and Alex back soon, and Hank too. God knows I can handle a few more plot twists just fine.
