That conversation about Star Trek reminds me of all the conversations that my friends have--the ones that usually have me veering out the kitchen in search of shelter to avoid the fallout. I love the subtle interaction between Ororo and Forge. And it didn't take much to send Erik back on a mission. I think I'm already missing Sweet ol' Erik. Nicely done, but you don't need me to tell you that. :-)

Author's Response: I've had much, MUCH sillier conversations about that topic that have almost erupted into nerdish violence...it's shameful. Oy! Sweet Ol' Erik only seems to exist when he lets him. He's too much of a power addict to ever just be a happy-go-lucky mutant who likes scrimshaw and makes ships in bottles. Ororo and Forge will interact here and there; Forge, as usual, ain't all that he seems. Thanks for reading!

...that doesn't sound good at all. Who let him get near a tazer?

Author's Response: He was a helpless old man (heh). He wouldn't harm a fly! I thought to myself, this is a mostly depowered Magneto who can no longer flip police cars and make bullets fire on their own. He had to get in to break out Lorna somehow!! He will get into more mischief soon.

As always loved the update!! I'm a huge Trek fan myself, but I'll leave most of the arguement points [several that have been answered on the show ie, universal translators which is why everyone spoke English... ;) ] alone. However, Paris was a weenie and not second in command. Chakotay was. :P Hee hee

And Picard all teh damn way! He was sexy as hell, and had Data...Mmmm, Data... **cough** annnyway... Loving on Forge, More soon? **bats very tired lashes**

Author's Response: Chakotay...right. In my mind, Paris and Ryker were pretty much interchangeable. Now see, Chakotay was the one I was drooling over!!! (Data???) Glad you had a spare moment to read. Now go lie down!!! Miss you!

Great update.
I can't wait for more. I wonder if Storm and Forge will start dating and what Logan's reaction will be when/if he returns.

(I have a Star Trek question for you. If Picard was French how come he had a British accent. My mom doesn't get it.)

Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed the update, thanks for the review! Yeah, my mom and I frequently had that argument over Picard and his accent. Picard was such an eccentric captain! Makes you wonder, why did Star Trek even write his character as French??? Of course, a person would also have to ask the question, why did Kirk always talk with a dramatic pause between his sentences!

I'd only intended to re-read the chapters I'd read and a couple more and leave a review, but you did it again. I couldn't stop reading until I got to this chapter, and now I want more. I love the way you've carefully crafted the stories of each person--Ororo, Logan, Erik, and Lorna's. And I'm definitely looking forward to see how these stories come together. Take care. And keep it up. :-)

Author's Response: Tempest, dearest, I'm glad when you even have the time to glance at my fics! I know you're even busier than me. I want to write more of this story, but my original thoughts on the plot went by way of all good things (like it was really a good thing to begin with, since this is the dreaded movieverse, and I'm chickens*** that it'll read like ten thousand better stories I have already read), and I keep hitting huge blocks. I'm trying to keep my parallels consistent, since there are many, but they keep getting lost. Too much noise in my head. Thanks for the feedback. Each character has a story. That will be perhaps more prevalent than the RoLo itself, but there will be some. I want them to be able to identify with each other rather than the two of 'em bumping uglies just because Jean's dead... SO hard to avoid falling into that trap!!! And of course, thanks for coming back and posting an update that made me laugh til I cried, and cry because I could relate!

See Logan, that's what happens when you leave. Another man moves in. I hope Logan finds what he's looking for and I also hope that it's worth it. Poor Ororo has to deal with the school, the government, Forge and her feelings for Logan. I look forward to the next chapter. :)

Author's Response: Yeah, Logan, get a clue!!! (hee hee) Logan won't necessarily like what he finds; it might end up being like Dorothy looking for something over the rainbow that was at home all along. Forge makes a fun troublemaker! I always liked him in Uncanny and the Mystique mini.

I saw this at one of the Yahoo groups and though it started off about Lorna and Forge and didn't quite seem like a RoLo I was intrigued. All the many characters are well done and of course the details are exquiste - I can't think of a better way to describe it - and I also like Forge, always have BUT hey, Cee this is the RoLo Relam - lol! Well, good writing, good story I can wait. ;D

Author's Response: Glad you stuck with it. Forge ain't the leading man, but he might wish he was. Can't wait til you give us some updates, too, D.

Loving this! Great how you make the conversations between the characters flow so smoothly! Looking forward to the rest of the story unfolding :)

Author's Response: Glad you're enjoying the dialogue! The story will likely be long. I'm writing it a chapter at a time. Thanks for the review.

It's funny how trusting Forge is of his government superiors. He is such a smart man but whoa what a blind spot! Logan, man he has some real issues to work through...poor guy. :( Good chapter!

Author's Response: Forge, Magneto and Logan have a connection they are not aware of, and they have all, at one point or another, been victims of their respective governments and war. Glad you're reading!

My God, you've done the IMPOSSIBLE. I LIKE Forge. I'm almost (quietly) rooting for a hook up. O.o What have you done?!?!? LOL. Well, whatever it is, keep it up!!! **huggles**

Author's Response: Hey, you made me LOVE Shinobi for about five minutes in Bloodbonds, and I adore Scott in Convergence, something I normally don't do, since usually he's such a weenie. *huggles back* Glad you got to log on.

Is this going to be a Ororo/Forge then RoLo? *begs that it's not* I know you won't tell me lol I can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's Response: Ororo/Forge? Meh. Not necessarily. I won't give too many spoilers. I like Forge, but he is meant to be more of an antagonist in this piece. Although he can bake a mean pie...

Poor Lorna, things seem to get worse and worse for her. I'm glad she got away from those two guys. Even though they got killed in the process.
Loved Logan calling Ro, so sweet. He seems to care quite a lot about her. And so does she, cradling the phone in her hand like that. :)
I hope Forge won't be able to mess things up. I'm always afraid when he's about to come into the picture, while Ororo and Logan are just at the beginning of sorting out their feelings.

Author's Response: Forge will be around long enough to stir the pot. Ororo may be impressed by him, but he's got to go a long way to earn her trust, let alone affection. This story will become more Logan-centric as time wears on. There will be more Lorna as I also develop Magneto and their connection.

Wow. Poor Lorna. Will she ever make it to Xavier's? Homegirl needs serious help with her gift. I'm glad Logan called Ororo. That's a positive step in their relationship. But now Forge is coming. Is he gonna screw things up for our RoLo? I hope not. And The Cure wasn't much of a "cure". Hmm. I see trouble in the near future.

I'm eager to read how this story unfolds. :)

Author's Response: She will get help, and a new set of problems, from a different source soon before she ends up at Xavier's. She might not end up there alone, either. This is another "X4" fic with heavy comic overtones, so your guess is as good as mine what they heck the characters will tell me next! Thanks, buddy.

As hectic as my life is right now--I can always take a minute to review a great fic. This was a wonderful chapter. You never cease to amaze and improve, Cee. **brava!!**

Author's Response: giiiirrrllll, I have MISSED you. And I'm TOTALLY flattered that you took a minute to visit, as crazy as things have been. Glad you enjoyed it. We miss your stories, you know that, but your reviews always make me grin broadly when you have those spare nanoseconds to leave them. God bless you, Hobbins. And thanks.

I LOVE Ali and Lorna as best friends in this... I feel bad for her, she'll be safe soon right? So cute how Logan called Ororo. I like seeing the bits of Erik's past too. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's Response: she will be safe soon, but not in the manner that she'd hoped. Erik will be prominent in this again soon. His past will be more complex, and based less on the movie.
