Geez, a whole population of people living underground, all victims of such horrid things. The stark contrast between the sweet looks of the baby girl and her cut out tongue made everything even more darker and disturbing. *still shudders* It's clearly understandable now where Longshot is coming from...

Wow. Awesome reintroduction to a wonderful fic-verse. Ororo and Logan's pained separation echoes so clearly through the scenes here. Storm lost and confused, confronted by not only Longshot's work but her own doubt was masterfully written. Brava, darling. Brava.

Looks like I need to add this one to the "For those who like to cry" thread. After seeing the baby with it's tongue cut out, I don't think Logan would be able to hold in those tears.
