I don't normally read NC-17 but figured the first chapter wouldn't start that way and I was very curious what our newest member had to share. Well, I wasn't disappointed. The beginning really caught my attention. I'm not used to a poetic Logan but it was certainly captivating. As was the ending. Very nice.

This story has one of the best lead-in paragraphs I have read in a while. I like the "poetic prose," stream of consciousness style of the narrative, and at first, you almost can't tell if it is Logan or Ororo thinking in those passages. My only nitpick is the punctuation. The grammar itself is impeccable, but the commas and sentence breaks happen in odd places, where it momentarily confuses you which phrases are getting the most emphasis. But all I can say, beyond that, is I can't wait to see what you do with this next. I love Logan's reaction to seeing her rising out of the water, and the visual of her doing that.
