Beautiful story! I read both stories in one sitting that is how compelling it was!! I hope that one day you decide to do a third follow up.

Author's Response: Thanks! These are two of my oldest stories out here on the Realm, and I often forget about them myself. Initially, this was going to be a trilogy. It never panned out that way. I lost my momentum somewhere along the way, and my original focus kind of disintegrated. I wanted to write a follow up where Ororo had to duel Callisto again after she lost her powers, where she got involved with Forge to get them back, and where she and Logan separated for a while but then came back when they realized how much they needed each other. There was also going to be more backstory with Kitty, when she became a ninja assassin in the "Kitty and Wolverine" miniseries, but that never quite happened. I had too many story drafts in progress at the time *again* and it just disappeared into the ether. Thanks for your interest and feedback, visit any time.

Author's Response: This particular chapter was draining for me to write, even though it was meant to segue into the sequel (if I ever write the darn thing). Ororo's speech from chapter two of Consolation Prizes stuck with me and nagged me to revisit it, since the image in my head of the two of them clinging to each other was pretty tangible. That scene is what I think about when I think of RoLo. Glad you got to read this, Tiger, and thank for the visit!

I enjoyed this fic as well as the previous one. You haven't updated in quite some time. I hope it hasn't been abandoned.

Author's Response: It was kinda abandoned for a while. I ran off-track with it. BW and I spoke about it back before I started writing what he called my "chick lit" alternate verse stories. This was originally supposed to be part two of a trilogy I wanted to write. Never turned out that way, because I was also working on my wedding trilogy with "The Best Man," "Something Borrowed, Something Blue," and "Or Forever Hold Your Peace," which is just taking up space on my hard drive. This story will eventually get updated, I have several handwritten pages in one of my several notebooks laying around my house, but it just won't gel. Thanks for the encouraging review, Rhiannon.

I loved that scene with Rogue and Ororo. I remember-ish that conversation. I want more. This was awsome.

All those scenes with Illyana make me smile and sniffle at the same time. She was so cool to me as a kid, then in 96 when they killed her, I was devestated. She was one of the few characters who stayed dead. Why Illyana? Why not...certain other people? Boooo.

Author's Response: I thought I left a reply to this review a long time ago...sometimes, I think they get eaten by nematodes. I'm still working on the last chapter, and then I might start the last part of what was originally supposed to be a trilogy. Maybe. We'll see!

"Happy little trees", heh. Despite the tension and sadness in this scene, this made me grin. I think I know exactly what Pete was watching there. Everytime I catch an episode on tv I just have to continue watching it LOL It's so addictive...
Poor Petey though. Especially since Kitty just doesn't seem to get it...
Aww, Logan sure had his fun with the kids. So adorable. I just love him around kids. Mr. Rough 'n Gruff surrounded by cute kiddies. This combination just doesn't seem to fit but that's exactly what makes it even more appealing :)

Author's Response: I love your reviews! I was hoping someone would remember Bob's happy little trees... Kitty and Peter never stood a chance, due to an editorial decision made by Jim Shooter because of their age difference. Yeah, Logan's great with kids. And everyone was taken to Battle World by the Beyonder. That scene with Kitty and Peter reminded me of half the breakups I had with guys prior to meeting my husband. And it seemed to fit here.

Okay...what gives? Where did they *all* go?!?! Very nice ROLO scene in this one...hot! You know i LOVE this story so don't leave us hanging for long!

Author's Response: They went into that little overhyped back story known as "Secret Wars vol I." I won't leave you hanging long, but I have to dig into UXN.net for issue summaries again. Sigh. I love RoLo love scenes where they have to go through some effort to get out of their clothes!
