I had to smile at the scenes at Ro's moms'. Especially at all the supplies Ro brought back home. That sounds sooo familiar LOL My mom and grandma have a secret stash of stuff I "so totally need" hidden somewhere and whenever I visit I leave with more than I came with LOL
OMG, Emma and company... gah. I so felt with Ro. Her nice desktop icon made me smile. I have quite a few of those, too :D
I really enjoyed the scene between Ro and Logan. So much chemistry already :) Loved how both of them tried to steal as much glances at the other as possible. Can't wait to find out where this is going. With the two of them I mean. Now that the car is fixed where/how will they meet again?

Author's Response: Will they meet again? Most definitely. Can't keep two people that curious about each other apart. I just can't. Even if I had to get desperate and have them meet at the laundromat or grocery store, I would have. But read chapter four. Emma's a real pip, isn't she??? Ro's mom and aunt were based on my family, too.

lol, i was crackin' up on the part about greasin' Ororo's hair, cuz my momma just fussed at me about it the other day...funny chapter, crackin' up durin' the office scene too...

Author's Response: ...every time I go home to visit my mother, she says "I've got this new hair grease for you to try, you can take it home if you like it." Never fails. Back in the day, when I was fourteen, I used to get major disses for accidentally leaving the house with a blob of VO5 Imperial yellow conditioner left UNCOMBED in my "peas" around my temples. My nicer friends would tell me "hold still" and rub it in for me. Gads...painful. PAINFUL!!! Glad you are still reading!

Wow! This chapter sure gave me some tramatizing flashbacks of my mom grabbing me by the 'fro to see if i greazed my scalp. I love the playful banter you created between Ororo and her family. Its so fun to read and very down to earth.

And then there is Logan...Yum. The dude has good taste if 'Ro's Maxewell CD caught his eye. Hopefully they both can teach each other "A Little Sumthin' Sumthin' " LOL

Author's Response: As soon as I mentioned grease, I knew the sistas would be out in force giving me the riot act for airing the dirty little secrets of hair care! (grins) Have you ever wondered why with her long, mostly straight hair, you've never seen her tying that mess up at night??? Ororo's family in that scene could be my family, albeit remotely...my aunts all act like Ruth. The song I had in mind was "Suite Lady." Depending on which scene I end up plugging it into... The first two lines of that song set me swaying in my seat.

Holy crap. 1-6 is the same thing that my mother talks at me about all the time. At least I think that's what she's saying, once I hear church and man my higher brain functions stop.

I heart Logan. He's adorable.

Author's Response: heh. higher brain functions...mine don't work that often, anyway. Glad you liked Logan.
