If this ending was the ending you were talking about not being suger-coated, it was plently sweet enough for me. *big inhale* The sweet smell of revenge.

The Jean/Phoenix ending was bittersweet. Great that they stopped her before she could inflict damage, but Scott saying that he didn't want to be without her and her reply were sad.

How is Logan going to feel about Scott and, more importantly, Ororo taking Jean down?

Author's Response: Jean head never really adjusted to being back, and once her purpose was revealed, there were going to be trust issues, so yeah, she ended up pushing up daisies in the end of this. Couldn't help it. Logan will feel pretty much the same way Scott felt when it was the other way around, in my opinion. They both loved her, that was the only way either of them could save her. Aw, Logan and Yuriko are gonna go insane again. Darn. I like Yuriko. As for Jeannie, you're writing her better than the guys in the movie ever thought her up.

I don't mind unhappy endings. *hint* Jean can go all wacko Phoenix again for all I care (it'd be cool, though). I'm just happy that Ororo and Logan are pretty much aiight now.

Author's Response: None of the female characters got much justice in the films, too little action with their powers, and too much "damsel in distress." Jean's powers and her tendency to not control her emotions make her fun for me to write. I also like Yuriko. She's cybernetic, strong, rich, and educated, but she's a mindless drone in the movie? Hogwash! I love beserker rage fights with Logan!

OMG! They are so hot together. I'm happy they were able to finish before the outside world ruined their party. Great job with the dreams, too. I especially loved Logan's.

Author's Response: The greenhouse made sense to me. It's Ororo's domain. The garage was the other likely place, since that is Logan's. The party is just interrupted for a minute. I promise.

And what an update it is! Hoo boy! *fans herself* Soooooo good! I'm glad their horrible nightmares didn't drive them further apart but had the exact opposite effect instead :)

Author's Response: *hugs back* I could have gone that route, but I wanted them drawn together, hopefully to beat the nightmares. But Jean isn't done with them yet...oops, leaked the plot!

Absolutely loved it when Logan just crawled over the table towards Ro to show her what he really wanted :D Again, so hot. I love it when they frantically roam each other's bodies, clutching at clothes, kissing, moaning... Mmmmmmm, that's just so yummy! But damn, Jean freaking out ruined everything! Again, aah! I hate her timing LOL And what she said even more! Damn, damn, damn. He really should have listend to the beast, following his instincts, going after Ro, setting things right, instead of running away.
Well, at least he met Mystique, heh. I really liked when she showed up on the stage looking like Ro, teasing him LOL She knows exactly what he wants :) Maybe she and Ro should have a little talk.
I wonder what's coming next! There's Jean and her control-problems, Yuriko coming for Logan, Stryker still in the background, Mystique... not to forget the on and off RoLo (that flickering needs to be fixed btw ;) )...
Really can't wait for the next chapters with all that's going on here...

Author's Response: *Grins*...I was in a weird little mood when I wrote the stripper bar scene. Again, it came out of left field, and I could easily see Mystique working in a place like that. It also harkened back to Chuck Austen's run on Uncanny, when Alex had a shape-shifting stripper at his bachelor party. There's a lot coming up. Still plotting it in my head. Goodness knows how that will go.

MMmhhh, steam room :) But yet again, he had to fuck it all up... *rolls eyes at Logan*
Totally loved his reaction seeing Ro giving Scott a back rub, and Scott enjoying every second of it, bathing in Logan's jealousy, heh :)


Author's Response: He hasn't grown up quite yet, that Logan. And yeah, I wanted Scott to get some of his own back in that scene. He needed a break.

Loved the banter between Ro and Logan in the infirmary. But then Scott came to and everything went to hell between them. Damn :/ Poor Scott though. He has no idea of what happened. How long he's been out and what Jean did to him... how's he going to react to that? His glasses... I was wondering about that while reading :) Noone ever looked him straight in the eye before and still they didn't notice, heh.
As for RoLo again... I hope they can work this out. They are just so adorable here :)

Ro and Logan acting like kids, so cute! You don't see that often LOL If ever! But it didn't feel out of character or something. Just perfectly right :) Their kiss... oohhh, yum! Poor Henry, heh, surrounded by kids. “DO I HAVE TO SEPARATE YOU TWO??” LOL! Too funny :)

Author's Response: I enjoyed writing this chapter way too much. For some reason, the dialogue and the tickle fight just jumped out at me from nowhere and demanded to be written. I ripped off the term "purple nerple" from Reiko, she used it to brilliant effect in Schadenfreude first. Bless her little heart! Read her story if you haven't yet.
