I didn't read this one. Love the drama, made me laugh. Why does it ring so true? Suppose it's your very realistic writing.

Author's Response: I got a lot of feedback about the phone messages...I've both received and left some like that, back in my youth. Had to have some insanity to draw from ;-)

I was expecting Logan to back the car up and beat Tro's ass when he grabbed Ororo by the arm, but she held her own heading butting him. That was priceless by the way.

Tro is beyond description in this chapter. Ass doesn't suit him anymore. And that last message he left was psycho...ish.

Author's Response: More you shall have! ...well, right when I get over my usual mid-story case of writer's block. Yeah, Pietro has some semblance of an ass-kicking coming in this chapter, and some comeuppance from sources he cannot guess. Cue evil, maniacal hand-rubbing laughter from CeeCee...wahahaha. Guys like him always think they can have their own way and manipulate well-meaning people like Ororo into staying even when they misbehave. He's an amalgam of not so nice men that I've observed and heard horror stories about, so he was easy to characterize as a user. Weren't those voice mails just the limit? Heh heh heh. We'll show him!

yay!!!!!!!! *does a happy dance for a new chapter of money dance* it's really sad how often i've been checking the realm in the hopes for an update, and lo, here it is! i think what i love about this story (similar to 'never been one for wine and roses') is ro's vulnerability. she's fragile, insecure, unsure, stuck in a toxic relationship... so realistic. but what i like about this chapter is the way that it ends: perhaps ro is finding her strength, is learning to find a way to figure herself out. definitely love the almost-showdown between pietro and logan -- so good. i only wish that logan could've bloodied the bastard up a bit. maybe a real fistfight is coming somewhere down the road? *hopeful smile* anyway, cee, awesome chapter, yet again. can't wait to see where you take these two with all their baggage and issues.... seems like it's gonna be a ride!

I pictured the head-butting scene and laughed out loud, it had to go in there, so sue me! I've watched too many bad eighties romantic comedies, I suppose...oh, well.

Wow.... Pietro is a colossal ass. The messages had me giggling and rolling my eyes at him. My favorite message, "This is bullshit..." To put all the blame on her is ridiculous. But that's what habitual cheaters do. They try to find every reason to not take responsibility for their actions.

Of course I loved 'Ro and Logan. I can't wait to see their relationship progress. I liked the small scene with Remy, too. :-)

Author's Response: My intent was to make each message more desperate, and more angry and self-absolving, because I can see a man acting like that after behaving like he has. Again, Logan's her shining knight to a point, but like anything else that I write, I like people to grow. She has to learn to rescue herself. Maybe Logan, eventually, too. Thanks for reading!

OMG! There's so much to say. Please don't let Tro get away with the affairs and the bullshit treatment and the abuse. His father, Logan, and Ro need to drive stakes up his ass. I'm so mad at him I could light him on fire. He sounded like my father when my mother left his ass. Woah, flashbacks. The ridiculous passive aggressive behavior of turning his mistakes into his significant other's. :mad:
