You need to be given an award. I've been reading fanfics for a little over eight years now.
This was the first story that ever made me say out loud,
"THAT BITCH!"

Author's Response: That's a wonderful compliment. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I like writing AU while still bringing in some of the character's original traits and other bits and pieces that make you recognize who they're based on. Ali still sings. Jean and Ororo are best friends. And more on a silly note, Cain is still Ali's "best fan" like he was in Uncanny for one issue. Remy is still a flirt. I love your reaction to Jean!!! I had fun writing the scenes where Ororo began piecing it all together, particularly the slap at the party. Some of my stories are a little soapy, I will admit. Catfights, girl talk...those are tools I abuse to death.

Author's Response: 1. Logan would do something like that if he cared about her, I think. He's less the gushing romantic, and more practical about showing how he cares. 2. It was serious enough; my focus was to bring them back together in such a way that they couldn't avoid discussion. I still need to work on my foreshadowing, but this scene asked me to write it. 3. Yeah, I like them, too! 4. Thanks. He's fun to write one-liners for. 5. She will try not to let them get to her, if she wants Logan in her life without letting petty crap get in the way of their happiness.

I agree with Logan. I wanted him to see her, but not that way.
Tro and Jean need another ass whooping! There Ororo is laying on the floor damn near in a diabetic coma and she's feeling sorry for herself because 2 people that were supposed to care about her *ucked her over. Stupid fuckers!

Good chap. I like Sage and Pioty together. Is Sage's baby daddy Luke Cage or Lucas Bishop? I might have missed the part that clarified although I think its Bishop because I think his daughters name was Aliyah in X-men the End.
Author's Response: You are correct! Yes, Barbara, Aliyah is Bishop's daughter in this piece. I love Bishop and Sage in Uncanny, back when it seemed like Claremont was trying to nudge them together, as well as in Xtreme. I think a baby with those two as parents would be beautiful and bright. Of course, he's playing a mack daddy/mybabydaddy character in this, but still...he's fun. Thanks for reading.

Well, here's hoping they can work things out - Ro & Lo. There simply wan't enough of them in this chapter! But again, your characters are so real. It's very interesting to see Ororo suffering with diabetes like any normal person.
Author's Response: That was my focus on this one. Making her very human. So much of the time, she's a goddess on earth, but what if she were a regular woman who got PMS, broke a nail, did laundry, paid bills, had man trouble, and dealt with a chronic condition? Once in a while, in my comic fics, I bring a little of this in, but this story allowed me to go full-tilt in that direction. Thanks for reading. There will be more of them this next chapter.

Piotr and Sage are just hot! Lucas is a dick, but with his stupid change of plans he actually did something right. He most likely did it to piss Sage off... if he only knew, heh :D
Author's Response: Anna and Remy will show up again! I like them in this piece. Yeah, Lucas, he's hardheaded, and was a horrible boyfriend, but not necessarily a bad dad. We won't let him know he did Sage a favor!
