“I’m not finished.”

This was my favorite line from this chapter. It is so blunt and curt that i love it. One single told two people in that room that Scott is awake now and getting pissed.

LOL!
I swear I know a lot of stories portray him as stick up the bum, asshole. But I love Scott someone has to be the up front nice guy, because so many people want to be otherwise.

Author's Response: I'm not even the biggest Scott fan, it depends on which creators at Marvel write him. I thought Grant Morrison actually made him into a selfish jerk, which initially annoyed me, but it made him a lot more interesting. When Claremont wrote him, he was too passive about Jean occasionally being attracted to other men. I wanted to vindicate him here. It was almost like having him say "oh, hell no, not in MY house!" Glad you liked him.

1. How did you do it? How do you make Victor such an ass (an arrogant one at that) and yet seems nice (may not be the wrong word)?
2.Aww Logan is just awesome
3. Poor Scott. Didn’t even know the facts but was sticking up for his ‘wife’ in that hospital room.
4. whoa! You know its bad when Scott Summers almost slaps a woman
5. ‘Tro is getting punched by every body! Dog!
6. I would have liked it even more if Scott got to chew her out more, and cried some tears, called her slut. Like they do in soaps.
7. I liked Remy reasons on why he didn’t want to jump in the sack—so different from canon Remy.

Author's Response: 1. I like Vic; I don't know why. There are men in the world who bluster like that, but who are not bad otherwise, just occasionally know-it-alls. Vic was meant to be more of a distraction in Logan's world, and to occasionally provide commentary on his life more than to be an antagonist. 2. Yeah. I like Logan, too. 3. Yeah, he did stick up for her. He's loyal, because he doesn't know why he shouldn't be yet. 4. yeah. He knew it would come to no good, even though Pietro was a deserving target, since he was his best friend that should have said no. 5. Yup. See #4! His dad and his ex are not through with him, either. 6. Scott is more hurt than anything else; he will have a chance to say something else soon. His dignity was wounded. Badly. 7. Yeah. Canon Remy is a loose goose, particularly in Xtreme Xmen and adjectiveless once Milligan started writing it. I hated him then. The Rogue miniseries made me dislike him a bit, too. Remy in this piece was meant to be a hidden treasure of sorts; flashy eye candy on the outside, sensitive musician and poet on the inside, looking for a nice girl.

I’m so happy that Scott finally sees Jean for the cheating bitch she really is and Pietro just an ass. Both Jean and Pietro trying to put the blame on Ro instead of phasing up to what they did. I can’t wait to read the next chapter so update soon.

P.S. Great chapter

Author's Response: well, sure; Scott loves Jean, but he had to have had some clue that something was up. He's been nice this whole time, meaning well and unfairly lied to, so he will get some of his own back. This will definitely change his dynamic and outlook. Thanks for reading, Dragon, and for visiting.

Wow! I'm almost speechless. Now that was a powerful chapter. I was so surprised at the scene in the parking lot I told my dd she's throwing down in the parking lot! And then the ending! OMIGOSH! Whoa. You blew me away with this! Nicely done

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it, and I put that disclaimer at the beginning of the chapter for language, since I know you tend to watch what you read pretty carefully! Yeah, writing the catfight was fun. I figured Ororo could walk away once, but with Jean messing up attempts at saying she was sorry, and doing it out of vanity, I knew Ororo would want to throw down. As far as the ending was concerned, that was something that jumped up and bit me as it progressed, and it was bound to happen pretty much from the moment that Logan saw Pietro at Harry's that night. Thanks for the review, D!

Wow so our Scott is quite the bright boy. He put two and two together very quickly. Good on him. I do wonder if he realized that Jean didn't come after him but went after Pietro instead. Good chapter

Author's Response: Scott is pretty insightful. He deserved some honesty after everyone was less than straight with him. He will realize that Jean stayed put, I promise. Thanks, B.

ohhhhhhhhhhh.... i SO knew that you wouldn't leave me hanging! i've super wanted to leave reviews for the past few chapters, but stupid school has been getting in the way... after this chapter, though, i absolutely had to write something. sigh. so, jean has finally found out that she can't keep manipulating people. all of pietro's dirty laundry is FINALLY being aired in public. sage and piotr finally are together. remy and anna are together. and logan and ororo are gonna get married! yay! all the loose ends are slowly coming together, and that makes me crazy excited. i do feel bad for scott, though, but his finding out is definitely unavoidable. i am so very excited to see what's going to happen with pietro's dinner with his family... can't wait for the next update!

Author's Response: Sorry to leave you hanging as long as I did! Hey, school is important! I wanted to tie up loose ends, I don't know if I left any dangling. Pietro will be revisited, I promise.

OMG! OMG! I love it. i was reading so fast I think I got skid marks on my computer. Man. Jean such a bitch! But she got hers.

And strangely enough, I am liking Victor. Such a guy! Keep it coming chica. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response: Stinker! Quit reading my story, and give me more of yours!!! I LOVE Sweet and Low Down, so help me, I just about screamed when I saw the update today! At any rate, yeah, Jean's a piece of work, and a piece of something else. She's meant to be. The signs were there throughout the story that she wasn't on the up and up, and she couldn't just use people without getting some kind of comeuppance. Glad you liked Vic! I love writing him, I don't know why. There are moments when he's patterned after one my husband's first cousins who talks a lot like that.

Finaly! I can't wait for the aftermath of that particular conversation...How about Scott and Ali? That would be interesting...*hint* Very nice chappy, and i can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Ali? Eh. Maybe. Knowing Scott as the pragmatic guy he is, he might not want to get involved with Jean's friends again; after all, it's a small world in this story! Everyone knows each other! Especially since I tossed Ali at "Longshot" toward the middle of this chapter. We'll see. Ali and Scott would be okay, since Ali was evading a controlling ex (Cain) at the beginning of the first and second chapter, so Scott, now very single and very noncommittal, might be the guy for her. Who knows?

I popped a bag of popcorn for this chapter. I couldn't wait to read about how Jean "got hers". And you didn't disappoint. Although, I wouldn't have been mad if Scott raged a little more, but that's not really in his character in this fic. I don't like seeing him hurt like this, but it had to happen for the truth to be revealed.

And the audacity of Jean and Pietro to blame Ororo for their deceitful acts. They truly disgusted me in that scene. UGH! Thumbs up for having Erik take action to know his granddaughter.

On a happier note: YAY to Logan wanting to propose! I'm sure you'll make the proposal scene sweet and comical. And of course I LOVED Vic! There's something about the way you write him that makes me laugh uncontrollably.

Can't wait to read more! Hopefully Jean gets another tongue lashing in the near future. *evil grin*

Author's Response: My knee-jerk reaction was to make him rage a little more, too. But I figured that once he got the answers to the questions that were nagging him, he would want to be the bigger man, for all of two seconds. He will have his chance to get some of his own back.

Oh wow, the shit hit the fan. I'm glad Scott finally found out. But damn, it must be so hard. Poor guy.
Loved the banter between Vic and Logan. I was surprised that it's actually possible to have a decent conversation with him LOL :D He's cute.
And OMG, Logan's gonna pop the question? ... YAYNESS :D Loved the RoLo in this chapter, but this revelation just topped it all!

Author's Response: Scott won't have to put up with Jean's nonsense anymore. Vic was never really bad so much as full of himself, unlike Pietro, who was full of himself and IN IT FOR HIMSELF. Yes, Logan will pop the question, since that was a hurdle he had to jump, since he went into his relationship with Ororo with some commitment phobias. The last chapter will pretty much write itself. Thanks for reading, Steph!

DRAMA!!!!!! LOL. Damn it's like a twisty turny soap opera. **huggles it** Keep it up, Cee!

Author's Response: Hey, you! I had been wondering what you were up to lately, I missed you. Yeah, I love writing drama, embarrassing moments, arguments and other conflicts, so this chapter had those in spades. I'm evil, so sue me. (although still not as evil as you and Gainee, since you always "cliffhanger" me and leave me slobbering for more every chapter!) Reiko has been encouraging me a lot, as well as our usual sewing circle at the group and on LJ, particularly in regard to making sure Pietro gets his ass kicked. It's been fun. Like, REALLY fun. *hugs*

I feel bad for Scott... poor guy. And how dare Jean try to blame 'Ro AGAIN! I'm not surprised about Pietro blaming her, but Jean should've learned her lesson with that. I'm glad Scott found out.

But there was fluffy RoLo! YAY! :D

Author's Response: Jean knows she did wrong; it will come back to bite her in the buns in ways she cannot imagine. Yes, there was fluffy RoLo, as there needed to be! Thanks for reading.

Finally Scott knows. It was killing me, for real.

Why is it that no matter how much Pietro gets his ass kicked it just doesn't seem like enough? Can you make him a paraplegic or something? He's such a dick.

I whooped for Remy in the Eagles Tee. Thats my team!

Author's Response: *grins* It's Reiko's team, too! Me, I don't even like football that much, but it's such a guy thing I had to throw it in there. Pietro...ahhh, yes, he will get his. Scott had to eventually find out, even though it was gonna hurt him. I just didn't want him to be one more person blaming Ororo, though, when he found out, so Pietro gets what's coming to him, instead.
