Wow that was quite the emotional tumult! At least now I understand the Magda scene. I felt sorry for Erik for a variety of reasons. He only sees the bad in humans as a whole. It was understandable why Logan went ballistic. I wonder what Hank will make of the drive...and Forge. Great chapter!

Author's Response: Good. I was hoping to tie up loose ends. Erik knows there are humans who are "exceptions" to the rule, but he just won't acknowledge it out loud. Hank will have some things to say soon. Thanks for the review!

Logan was brutal, but I can understand him lashing out in his anger. After what Magneto told him I'm suprised all he took out was a tree and insulted Storm.

How could Forge not think that the government wouldn't take what he'd made and tweak it? He's such an ass. An amazingly talented ass, but an ass.

Loved it, Cee.

Can an update of Abandon be expected anytime soon? *bats lashes*

Author's Response: I'm looking over Abandon today for possible updates. Its been on my mind lately, too. Thanks for the review! I like Forge in this story, and it makes me wish I were writing one centered around him. Thanks for the review.

Best line in a fic "You can't have him." **squeeee** This was a truly engaging chapter that had my nose pressed to the monitor and me shushing the kidlets so I could finish, despite their wails of hunger. lol. More please?

Author's Response: And more you shall have. It's the fic that wouldn't end! Don't hate me for this next chapter, though. I didn't want Logan getting too sure of himself yet! Poor guy... now feed the kidlets!

Whoa, some RoLo ...Yippie! What a fight...dang! I'm glad that they made it out alive! Whoa again for Erik and Lorna. Good chapter!

Author's Response: Hee hee. Whoa, indeed! More surprises coming. Glad you dropped me some feedback! Thanks!

“Got me trussed up like a friggin’ turkey.”

lol funny.

Somebody's in trouble...

Author's Response: I think that would be Logan's reaction to waking up in the infirmary with IVs and leads and bandages all over him, poor guy! I always feel sorry for him every time Marvel blows him up or sets him on fire. He doesn't have a mutant painkilling power to go with his healing factor! Lots of people are in trouble in this next chapter.

ok where's the next bit?

I loved this. the fight was fantastic and the relationship between Logan and Kitty makes me all happy inside. I really adore this.

Magneto at the school, eh? I can't wait to see how this turns out.

Author's Response: Heh. I can't wait, either, since I'm having my usual writer's constipation...I mean block. Logan and Kitty have been on my mind lately, since I have been trying to get Wounded back on track, and it's still going in its own direction. Magneto will stir the pot. He's just as guilty of hurting mutants as he thinks he is of furthering their cause, one mutant in particular. Thanks for checking in and leaving me a review, Gainee!

Very very nice and well written. I'm loving Logan's pursuit of Ro. Refreshing. Now...the purple metal eater is at the door.... what the ell does he want??? Can't wait! Oh, and please more RoLo intimate moments. A Ro/Fo showdown would be lovely.

Author's Response: The purple metal eater...hahaha! Love that. The Ro/Fo showdown (great rhyme, too, by the way) is coming up, along with a bit of a pissing contest between Logan and Forge. He's next up to show up on the school doorstep! Thanks for the review!

...that sounds really, really bad. But Logan is going to take Harry's advice eventually right? Like after he gets out of whatever he's been taken to. I know, I know. You're not going to tell me, but it makes me feel better to ask lol

And Dream is half done :P

Author's Response: Logan will get out of it. Ororo isn't through with him yet, despite her lecture to him last chapter. She wouldn't get mad at him if she didn't care. And I want my Dream update!!!

Wow--a chapter packed to the brim, baby. Woot! I'd leave a more thorough revierw but this is the third time I've read this chapter and if that isn't compliment enough for ya, then I don't know what is. **wink** Awesome.

Author's Response: Heh. Third time? Sounds like a compliment to me! (and I've pretty much lost count of how many times I've reread Kingdom Come by now, or Tie That Binds, or Bloodbonds, or Convergence...sense a theme here???) Thanks for the review, we all know I'm a comment junkie, anyway, always twitching for my fix! Speaking of twitching for my fix, the next time the baby lets you set him down, I want more of Slow Burn, Unbreakable, and Divergence! Or Crimson Shadows!!!!!!! (smooches with sugar on top?)

I don't know how I missed this chapter, but somehow I did. I just randomly came to the realm and looked at some of my favorite stories and saw this. Excellent. Anyhow, this chapter was too much. Of course, I loved how Forge tried to impress Ororo with all his gadgetry. That kiss wasn't too bad either. Too bad Logan had to witness, but damn if she didn't hit the nail on the head when she told her exactly what she thought about him and his inclinations. Loved this!

Author's Response: It wouldn't have been that interesting a kiss if Logan hadn't walked in on it, to me. I like me some Forge, but this ain't his story! (not this time; Hobbins told me I need to write a "FoRo" piece after this) I liked the idea of Ororo being blunt with him, even if she was a little fickle, kissing another guy after she briefly rocked Logan's socks, but she's free to keep her options open. Logan will have the chance to redeem himself shortly.

I love this fic... It is great! I love the tension and the mystery. You do an absolutely amazing job!

Author's Response: Thank you! Some of the mystery will be unraveled, but lead to a bit more in the next chapter or two.

I finally sat down to read this fic and devoured it.

Your word choice, prose, and dialogue are picture perfect. You throw in enough description to set the imagination in overdriver without brow beating the reader with it. Dialogue is always true to character, witty and informative without the brow beating again.

There's enough humor in the inner and outer dialogue that it keeps the pace moving without rushing. Fluid. The whole thing is perfectly fluid. You shift easily between scenes and locations, taking the time to show us exactly what you had in mind with each. Wonderful, truly wonderful.

Now, the characters. Oh dear God. Firstly, I want a Forge. Can I have him? I'll arm wrestle Ro for him. Good God. I've never seen Forge written so perfectly, with exactly right proportions of humor, intellect, wit and yummyness.

Secondly, Hank just rocks. Tha is all.

Third, Ororo is HUMAN. Holy shit. Few writers manage to make her seem human through and through. Here, she has flaws and foilbles and human needs. It shows, it makes her that much more appealing. The fact that she won't let Logan bolt on her again...just rocks. You rock. I love her.

Fourth, Logan. You've captured everything I love about that character, everything I think Marvel and Fox have forgotten. Though he's his badass self, he shows flickers of that intellect and a vulnerability we caught glimpses of in the X movies. He's well rounded here, picture perfect and loveable while I want to shake him senseless.

And finally, all of the kids are perfect. Lorna and her sharp lonesomeness, her will to reach out to anyone willing to show her kindness. Erik is puzzling for me, with layers I want to peel away so I can get to the meat of that character.

This is brilliantly presented, expertly executed and has me chomping at the bit for another wonderful taste.

Like pie. *grin*

Brava, woman. Brava.

Author's Response: *blinks* Wow...I'm stunned and floored at this wonderful review and feedback, particularly since I love your stories so much for the excellent characterization, humor, heartbreak, and dialogue, so this left me speechless and wanting to make sure I don't disappoint with subsequent chapters (when I shake my habitual writer's block). I like writing kids; I'm old as dirt, but part of me still remembers what it was like to be a teenager, and the notion of being "up in the bleachers" as been playing in the corners of my mind as a new fic, but I haven't decided when or how yet. Lorna is like many of the funny girls I knew in high school who remorsely smoked in the girls' room or painted their nails in study hall or who passed me notes in my locker between classes and didn't make any excuses for themselves. Real Gamma Girls are how I thought of them, as opposed to Alpha Females like Monet, or Betas like Paige in that chapter. Erik always touched me as a villain, because he had so much potential for good but could never get past his pain long enough to stop inflicting it. And again, Ororo as human is something I see you and Hobbins doing with every story, and wishing I could manage a semblance of it, so thank you, thank you, thank you.

wow, wow i love a good fight and it seems like logan is going have to prove himself with ro and in the mean time she gets to have a little fun with forge.

Author's Response: Yup, tha's pretty much it, in a nutshell. I've heard from a few of my buddies who have said "make Logan work for it," so that might be the theme that I follow over the next chapter or two. Thanks for reading, chyti. C

Dang that was quite the showdown. I wonder what Logan will do with the big chunk of knowledge Ro laid on him. I also wonder what they will do with the reconnaissance Logan did.

Author's Response: We shall see. Heh. Logan took a little exception to being told off...

Loved the update, Cee. The RoLo confrontation was nice, and I love the fact that 'Ro called him out on Jean. **claps** One request, if I may, please don't let Logan just stroll back in and Ro be all "Forge who?" because Logan has it far too easy in fics (mine included) I think the boy needs to put in some effort. Not just "I'm here, love me." LOL. But that's just a tiny request from an adoring fan **bats lashes** Whatever you write, I'll read--and enjoy! You rock socks (well if I were wearing any) **huggles**

Author's Response: I think Logan needs to wake up, too. I like him, don't get me wrong, but Ororo watched him chase Jean quite a bit, and he was just plain gruff the rest of the time. Good thing he's so kissable! Thanks for reading and reviewing, kid!
