Heh. Okay, You're going to think I'm weird, but with the talk of Beauty and the Beast and with Disney running around in my brain, the scene with N'Dare and Xavier and her running off and what happened totally reminded me of that opening scene in Bambi. Yes, I'm still traumatized over Bambi's mom.

Author's Response: hmm you're right... that was like Bambi. It wasn't meant to be and I've never watched Bambi (for that reason). But it fits in, you never learn what happens to Belle's mother.
