Jean is acting like a selfish, spoiled child. She wants what she can't have. And I have a sneaking feeling that Scott and Ororo will find out about Logan and Jean's indiscretion in the worst possible way.

Author's Response: Yup. That about sums up our Jean. She wants Logan to love her from afar while she gets to live happily ever after with Scott. So him telling her that he's in love with Ro just about kills her. I am glad you are enjoying this, I always like your comments, you always seem to intuit where I'm going.

Man, this was great. I smell foreshadowing along with that garlic and wine, kid! "You might be pleasantly surprised by her response." Jean had nothing else to gain by telling Logan she cared about him, considering the tenor of their breakup, namely that he told her it was over, and he didn't really love her. I wouldn't put it past Miss Sneaky Pants to try to turn the tide again, somehow. Man, this was SO good, Pandora. I grinned and leaned forward with baited breath through the whole thing.

Author's Response: My original outline of this story is a lot different than how this is turning out. In the original, Jean was a lot more evil. She was a real piece of work. I've tried to make her a bit more complex. I don't know if I am succeeding, though. She keeps trying to be bad. Lol!

By the way may I give you props for Emma, she seems like a really nice person who's really actually just doing her job and loving it. She actually would be complimentary to Scott, although I always think Scott needs someone more his anti-thesis. Emma challenges Scott, but really not in a fun way. She compliments him mentally and through loyalty, and only challenges from what I see in the comics physically, sexually. Jean complimented Scott like Romeo compliments Juliette or Oreo cookies and milk. Kind of like you don't know how it happened, but they fit just because they work together or look good together. She doesn't challenge him outside himself.

How about hooking him up with Dazzler, she'd be fun, his definite anti-thesis. Someone energizing and fun, but who could respect Scottt at the same time. Yeah, Allison is a good choice. That's why I like Lizzie Braddock, she brings out the fun but that's why she's good with Warren (another not so fun kind of guy). I might have to throw that shipper idea to some of the other writers.

Author's Response: I never understood the Scott/Jean deal myself. I just figured in the original series she was the only girl so it made sense for all the guys to have a crush on her. But for her, she'd need the alpha male, Scott. In later series and even the movies, I just never GOT Jean and Scott. I actually kinda dug him with Emma. The fact that he succumed so easily to Emma just seemed to me that he had a thing for her. Or maybe he was a sucker for telepaths. We will see a few more teachers though. I am not so sure about Scott turning to someone so easily or so soon though. He is in love with Jean, poor sap. He also takes his vows seriously. Again, poor sap. He might just surprise us in this fic, though.

Oh hell no, I didn't just read that at the end. Oh man, poor 'Ro, what did she get herself into. Please Wolvie, you adulterous bastard (that I still love), be there to save our 'Ro.

Now as for Wolvie, he needs to pay, but not as much as that damn idiot Jean. Jean was committing a full act of adultery while Wolvie was a free agent. We all know Scott is no friend of his, but Jean is his future wife and Storm will of course be indignant with reason. I wouldn't even waste my breath on her.

Scott, ask for a damn divorce, she's an adulterous wench, undeserving of your affection. After reading that Warren was attached (I'm assuming to Lizzie), and you got Lorna married off to Alex. I'm not a fan of Emma, but she's better than Jean, anyone is. How about bringing in Madelyne Pryor as a new teacher to the school who's invaluable and hook her up with Scott, just anyone but Jean...she's evil.

And this psycho is evil, but it makes the entire story very juicy. Great chappy!

Author's Response: Yeah. Emma's not a witch in this one. She is simply an ambitious teacher. Never fear, we'll learn the identity of the CSM in a bit. Is it Forge or not? Muwhaaahaaa!

Once again, the sex scene had me blushing. I felt naughty after reading that. So "Mr. Covert" is Forge, huh? Or is he just a red herring? I'm still hoping Remy makes an appearance in this fic.
