My apologies a second time hon, I didn't know you posted 2 chapters. That was a nice holiday treat.

This is going to combine a bit of this chapter with chapter 17 as well, since i now know what happens in both.

This chapter again made want to ring both of their necks at the same time. Once again we have a chance to see them both letting down their guard and they connected so well. It was sweet how they bantered back and forth. And its obvious that despite what lies they tell each other, their attraction to the other is not based solely on physical and sexual appeal.

They like pushing each others buttons. They like driving the other crazy. They like taking the other out of their "civil" business mode and unleashing the wild side that each of them possess. It's so obvious that its nearly slapping each of them in the face.

But of course the moment that one of them clenches up in the slightest. Full power to defenses and shields, reverse thrusters and escape. Their argument in this chapter revealed sooo much of how much their actions hurt the other, that I actually felt sorry for the both of them.

Chapter 17, I hated Ororo's attitude towards Logan, with generalizing him with a large assortment of "lesser" boys. She knows deep down inside her heart that he's not like that, but she's so scared of what happened with Vic that she's using that as an excuse to keep Logan at arms length.

If she leaves in Jan. It won't be the end of their problems. Because they're thinking their are other fish in the sea, but truthfully, its more like that was their one in the million.

Author's Response: Every once in a while, I have to divide a chapter into two because I just can't get enough of hearing myself talk. You always know where I'm going with my line of thought, and I love hearing your feedback and intuition, because you always make me reframe and rethink Ororo and Logan's motives, B. I appreciate that from you. I miss your writing, but I'm always glad to hear from you. But you hit the nail right on the head. Ororo does have a jaded attitude toward men in general after Vic, it isn't appropriate that she let it spill over onto Logan, but he isn't blameless, either. He avoids anything potentially deeper with her because of their initial misunderstanding, he's very indignant toward her for deserting him, and he hasn't separated her doing that from what happened with Jean. And you're right, they love getting a rise out of each other!
