I've read this twice already!!!

UPDATE!!!!!!!

Author's Response: thanks for visiting and encouraging an update. I've been so busy with life and juggling too many other fics, but this one is nagging me, too.

I thought I'd reviewed this but obviously didn't. I think my habit of writing reviews at work means they sometimes get lost in the mess of e-mails I still haven't gotten rid of. Anyway, I was struck by the last part, the realness of Logan's situation, how real Logan seemed, like flesh and blood you could reach out and touch. I don't know why but it was sexy to me, maybe because it felt so real I wanted to actually console. That's good writing, Cee.

Author's Response: *beams* thanks, Darlin. I have too much "souce material" to draw from when it comes to writing a) embarrassing situations, and b) arguments, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Okay so Jean-Paul made me laugh out loud. When I finished the story I scrolled up to re-read his part. I’m sure someone has said this already but all this modeling stuff makes me think of American’s Next Top Model or Project Runaway. It’s a fun story, but you never forget that it’s a drama and there’s something coming. I enjoy the humor and the writing as always. Remy and Ororo are a wonderful combination no matter where you put them. But in this particular story I see the heavy influence that Remy has and it makes me wonder how this will all play out. The interjection of Logan never seems misplaced even though the main story seems to be focusing on Remy and Ororo now. Logan + Harmonica = awesome. To be honest the only instrument I ever saw Logan playing was the guitar and maybe the piano. Never thought of the harmonica, it made me smile. I’m happy about the update, I would write more but I’m a slave to my English teacher and the paper that I must write. I hope to see more soon.
Keep on writing : )

Author's Response: hee hee hee. I love Jean Paul as a minor character in any X-Men fic; so few people do anyhting with him as a lead. There is a lot of Oreo in this, but it eventually becomes RoLo. But Logan will make himself a bit of a nuisance. For me, THAT part will be fun. I picture Logan playing a harmonica for some reason, just a little thing he can stick in his pocket and take anywhere, since he's always a traveling man. This story will get more campy as it moves along. Thanks, Roxxi!

This was another weird chapter for me. I see what you mean about filler. I hate those chapters myself, but as a part of a story you realize it has to be done in order to get to the next stage.

Also it's weird because it seems to me that Remy was again approaching the slightly overbearing territory, And it really kinda puts Ororo in an awkward position, because I don't think he's ever considered the fact that Ororo might not want to be a model. But he is thrusting this career on her anyway, if she wants it or not.

And he's somewhat unrealistic with his expectations with her, also. For a number of years she hasn't been employed, let alone a residence to call her own. But now she's suppose to be considering all these high stakes moves that will not only elevate her social status but it puts a tremendous amount of pressure on her. It's like every thing that she does there is a little New Orleanian voice in her head saying "Don't screw up, petit!" And I know in the back of her mind she's thinking, "If this doesn't work, will he throw me out to the curb?"

I'm sorry if this is coming out as a rant, but it's like a lot of people have been commenting on how much they love Remy in this story and are almost rooting for a Remy/Ro relationship, but it's troubling to me because of how much influence that Remy has on Ororo's life right now. Literally, if he wanted to he could toss her out on the street and forget he ever knew her. But if he does make a play for her, it comes into that whole dominating territory, or a pseudo Woody Allen type situation. Where he's nurtured her growth then wants to consummate the relationship sexually.

Plus is Ororo just an easy escape from the havoc relationship that he has with Belladonna, because if that's the case, he's doom to repeat the same mistake.

Phew....Wow, all that and I haven't talked about Logan. That guy... I like the blues musician portion of his life. I honestly was going to add a musical segment to something of my own. But it was nice to see here, and the harmonica that was a nice switch. Most people would put him with a wooden classic guitar, (which i honestly probably will do), but again I love the originality.

I have to say we don't come into a good portion of Logan's life. I have to wonder if the music is an escape from the taxi cab life or is the taxi cab an escape from his personal life. Either way, a lot of bad mojo was going on. I honestly thought that Logan might have jumped the gun a bit, then that message came on and it was like... "You whore!" I can honestly see that guy squaring off from women for a while. Makes me wonder how Ororo will change all of that.

Sorry again for the rant hon. ^^ later!

Author's Response: Logan is male. Men have a different arguing style than women. But he was frustrated, and everything came out sounding harsher than he wanted, you could tell by his thought patterns for a while. Poor guy couldn't back off and just eat some potato chips and call it a night. Remy isn't gonna be "Woody" in this...gads, I hope not. That's creepy, man! Ororo wants to trust Remy, yet Remy also wants to trust Ro. There's baggage there in his life, too, not just regarding his old love life. He has needs. Women LOVE men with needs. But we'll see. I might update Getaway before this one, just because it's less complex. Thanks for the review, and the rant. I'm always interested in different reactions from folks who read my stories.

Okay, this is the only fic I've read where I kinda want Remy and 'Ro to get together. I can't see how Logan and 'Ro are going to really meet and fall for each other now that Remy's steering her towards a modeling career with all those high brow and snobby people... but I can't wait to see how you do it!

And I think I need someone like Raven to whip me into shape!

Author's Response: We all need a Raven! I've gained back weight since switching to NOCs at work. Sucks. Logan holds the lucky card of being more down to earth and easier to talk to than the highbrow circle Ororo's about to start running with.
