You know your story is really something so simple, almost just a day in the life of the X-Men but it's more than that despite the simplicity of it. It’s as if it really happened, is really taking place the moment we're reading, right before our eyes and not just something we're reading or rather conscious of reading. It's a wonderful feeling, that.

I love Storm’s argument: “Then they take the cure and get upset because their problems still remain. They find out that all of their issues—family, job, money—had little to do with their mutations in the first place. Then they realize that they’ve given up the very fabric of who they are, and for what.” So true. It's much like plastic surgery, people think they'll be better after it but nothing's changed with their internal problems. I really enjoy the thoughtfulness you give the characters. There’s so much more in your writing than he wants her but she doesn’t want him or they just have to get together moving from point A to point B in the usual manner.

This is a complicated and oh so realistic relationship going on here. It feels real though they’re not together they are and yet neither has spoken of it. It’s natural and sweet and a little sad too. And Logan’s not just the hardened gruff man we often think of him as but a real live human being – a real man, acting just as one might expect a real man like Logan would act. I’ll tell you something these insights into his thoughts, his actions are something that's never really occurred to me. They give a meaningful depth to the man and I love it. You’ve made movie Logan real to me. And the sex, it’s simple, matter of fact, no lustful depiction needed and maybe because it’s more than lust or I’d like to think so. You mentioned before that you weren’t good with sex scenes but oftentimes less is so much more.

You’ve a knack for making these two larger than life characters quite believably and vulnerably human and yet you keep the essence of who they are. Yes, Storm might cuss but I can see the character, frustrated, tired, alone and maybe even secretly afraid of feeling all that and just cutting lose. You have a good feel for these movie characters and this is the first time in a very long time that I can remember actually looking forward to updates for a movie fic. A wonderful chapter, a great story and a true treat!

Author's Response: Wow, I don't even know where to begin. Reviews like this are what keep a writer going. I'm glad you enjoyed this fic--it probably sounds corny and disingenuous, but nothing is more important to me than being able to entertain someone. Thank you so much for your kind review!

what's good about this chapter is that the bedroom scenes have these moments in them that you can picture between real people. I love her reactions, both the good and the bad, of him waking her up. That was so relatable and funny in its subtle way. I'm glad to see movieverse Warren making an appearance.

I also smiled at the Friendly's reference, since I'm from Massachusetts, and I haven't been to one in about five years.

Author's Response: Thank you! I have a hard time characterizing movieverse Warren. He just seems so completely different from the comics, so I'm learning to go with it. BTW, I hate Friendly's. It's kind of gross. I do believe they have them in upstate NY, though.
