What did she dooooo oh my goodness. I rarely enjoy soap opera levels of drama in fic (because if I wanted that I would actually watch a soap opera you know?) but I am enjoying this a lot! Probably because it does not feel as over-the-top.

BUT you asked for questions so I'm going to ask questions! 1) What caused Ororo to leave? 2) Why did she have such a hard time returning? 3) What did Charles die of :( 4) Why is Logan involved in this at all, why isn't he just up and leaving the mansion until the drama blows over?

Inquiring minds wish to know!

Ahhh, my heart. Ow. That was painful to read. I couldn't decide if I wanted to smile at the mental picture of a tiny Ororo climbing into Charles' lap, or cry at all this imagery of the sun setting and Ororo being so convinced that everything is going to go terribly. (and that's realistic isn't it? that reaction, to have a hard time finding the strength to have faith in the people she loves and trusts.)

I hope this isn't the end! I hope you have more. I normally don't like teenager!AUs like this, but this is just written so honestly and simply and thoughtfully that I can't help but love it all the more. I know it's close to a year since last update, but I'll wait for however long it takes! Since this is the best RoLo I've read on the Realm in a long time!

I am also so happy. My problem with a lot of Storm/Wolverine fic is that there are days that Storm is written as passive and hardly able to fight back. I love that she's putting up a hell of a fight here (but also that she still needs help!)

This was (is) one of my favorite stories! I'm glad you're reposting (and updating?) this, and I'm really excited for what you have in store :)

The first scene in this chapter, with Ororo and her awakening powers, is beautiful but kind of makes me sad. In a perfect world we would have an Ororo: Origins movie and what you'd written sounds like it would be translate ridiculously well to the silver screen. Can you imagine the visuals it would give us, especially with CGI as it is now? Hollywood needs to wake up already, gosh :(

Ahh, how exciting! I've been toying with the idea of a post-DoFP fic myself but words are so hard. I know you'll do the concept justice though, so I'm really looking forward to reading this! :)

I thought the same thing re: Ororo and Logan hooking up at least once (at the very least!) in the Bad Timeline. No matter what's waiting for Logan in the new and restored timeline, I think that considering Logan, Storm, Charles and Erik showed up together on the Blackbird just implies that it'd been just them for a while. And the way Logan puts it here ("Wasn’t roses and moonlight, ‘Ro. It was war, it was sex, it was something to get us through the night.”), is something I think really could've happened.

(tl;dr I liked that part, but it was also a punch right in the feelings, ow. the end to this chapter didn't help at all and 'roro must just be struggling so much and while that's terrible, I also think it's a neat way to show her strength of character.)

The staff all getting together and gossiping is cute. And heartwarming, considering how they couldn't do even that in the previous timeline. And haha, how ironic that Kitty's the one most vocal about not wanting to hear about that life, considering she's the one who made Logan's mission at all possible!

Author's Response: Oh, I completely agree. there was something there, like they were the last two teams standing. I love that aspect. Logan has his way with words every now and then. I know, right in the feels, huh? I can't wait for Kitty to find out what her purpose was and how much she went through to send him back! I'm so glad you're enjoying my fic!

I had to reread from the top because it's been a while, but I finally caught up!

What bothered me most about this story on my initial read-through of this was that I had a hard time picturing Ororo/Scott as being a thing, even if it was a onesided unrequited thing. They didn't strike me that way! Upon further reflection, if the movies expected us to believe that Logan was completely and totally In Love with Jean after barely knowing her, I found that Ororo loving Scott quietly and secretly to be easier to believe haha.

I also hated how Logan treated Ororo's "dirty little secret", because wow he has absolutely no right to talk to her that way after how he flaunted his attraction for Jean in Scott's face :( So I'm kind of in Storm's camp for this (tbh I'm usually in Ororo's camp. Team 'Ro ftw.), and I'm curious to see where this goes in terms of their relationship. A few chapters ago she was ready to tear him a new one, so I'm hoping to see some light shed on how that has changed/will continue to change.

Also, Kitty and Warren are adorable in this. As are Betsy and Piotr, haha. But I think the true challenge here is for you to make me believe that Forge won't be better for Ororo in this story (hopefully without vilifying him!) because dang if you didn't make him super likable and awesome and competent and sexy all at once...!!

Author's Response: God, I know. Forge took on a life of his own and we haven't seen the last of him yet. Logan pissed me off in that scene, man. I wanted to stab him. Don't worry, I've got a plan. Be prepared for a gigantic time-lapse! I promise, no villifying Forge, I love him too much.
