Excellent research and use of the resources that you had at hand to make this chapter chilling and believable, my friend.

I also kind of enjoy the aspect of Angel, usually seen as this pristine, impossibly perfect character, being so much of a predator in this story, much in the same way that Logan or Vic are, even though Angel would never normally lump himself into their category as a killer. It's not surprising to see the dissent in the ranks of your coven of evil docs, too! "Any questions?" I love that. Feels almost like watching an episode of Angel, with the lawyers of Wolfram and Hart.

My buddy Hellion out on FF.net wrote a story referencing those experiments that the Nazis carried out against the Jews in his fic "In the Name of Science." Dark story, but this momentarily reminded me of that. Good work, as always.

Author's Response: Thanks CeeCee.. I have alot of resource materials at hand, and I was hopin' this chapter an' the characters would come across as chilling and believable... even scarey. I think Angel makes a better "villain" than he ever was as a good guy, he's so much fun to write as a bad guy, even when it's against his will. I don't know the lawyers yer referrin' to, but I'm glad it felt famillial to you. Your buddy wrote an entire story about the Nazi experiments?? I'd love to read it, I cant imagine writin' an entire story revolvin' around that. Just writin' the bits for Eye that parallel the same is draining for me. Yesterday I was trawling the net for decent RoLo stories when I stumbled across Kindred Souls, a site that now appears to be defunct as far as updates are concerned. I read what was there and enjoyed your fics immensely. They are so well written. I began to read In The Eye of the Storm and realised it was incomplete. This prompted me to Google your pen name and I eventually ended up at RoLo Realm.

It seems this story is still awaiting completion but this first chapter was so compelling I'm going to read on regardless thus breaking my own principle of not reading a story unless complete.

I guess what I'm trying to say is - will you be completing this fic some time in the future? I'd hate to read all 26 chapters and find that's all there is.

I'm so happy. ;-) Where have you been man, I feel like you have been out of the loop, or maybe I've been out of the loop...graduated from college and started my first REAL job...and now I just don't have that much time for my ROLO addiction or comic reading. But since you posted this here I may just have to make time so that I can read this puppy from the beginning. LOL. Hey, and I'm still waiting for my new chapter mister....so get busy. LOL. It occurred to me the other day that I had never gotten around to postin' this story here, and I did tell Pari I would try quite a while ago.
