Terrific chapter. Reminiscent of the scene between Logan and Heather Hudson in that little cabin In Buffalo Wood.

Author's Response: Oh now THAT'S a comic fan! *grin* I never thought of that before but yer right. Thanks for that image and the compliment. -- W6C

I love this! Ororo is so gentle and loving. Even though Logan is in this animalistic state, he still has a soft side. This is just wonderful! Can't wait for the next update!

Author's Response: Hopefully I can get Ch. 20 out in the next couple o' days. I'm very glad you're enjoyin' this story and the portrayal of our two favorite characters. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. --- W6C

Thank you very much for the effort, time and thought you have obviously put in to produce such an excellent piece of work. I have enjoyed every chapter immensely, in terms of the character development, plot and my own reaction to it.

Your take on Ororo is wonderful, as such a compassionate and intelligent woman who uses brain and emotion to connect with those around her, especially with Logan. I love how you have depicted Logan too, as he moves through the isolated facets of his nature, and tries to deal with his more animal side when it is not suppressed through experience. I think the interaction between the two protagonists is beautiful, with so many levels that I couldn't possibly describe them all.

I am very much looking forward to the next chapter :).

Author's Response: Thank you, Pharaoh for such a wonderful and indepth review. I really appreciate that so many readers accept my perception of these two characters, their depth of character as well as their true connection to one another. I don't think either of these characters are as seemingly one dimensional as the writers at Marvel so often show us. I appreciate you takin' the time to review. Thank you. --- W6C

this reminds me of a story I once read awhile ago called hus eyes. Extremely similair but really enjoyable.

Author's Response: Yes, I remember that story as well. As a matter of fact I believe "His Eyes" began posting soon after I started posting In the Eye of the Storm. You're right, they have many similar aspects to them and I did so want to read His Eyes at the time, but when I noticed that there were similar ideas in the two stories I stopped readin' His Eyes in order to focus on my own story. It's easy to become influenced by a parallel story, either by taking something from it or by having your own ideas falter in hesitation, trying not to be seen as "copying". I had a specific idea for "Eye" for many years and didn't want that derailed in any way. I have read many good reviews on that story and hope to read it in its entirety once I'm finished with "Eye". Thank you for remindin' me of that fic. --- W6C

This is one of the only stories, that has actually explained why Logan is the way he is. Of course we knew that he was walking a fine line between man and animal. Ororo was perfect, and i liked that she so understanding. I loved every word, i can't wait for you to continue.

Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback, Roxxi. I've always seen Ororo as a very compassionate and understanding woman beneath that Goddess exterior. I've always felt that she, above all others, would have a deeper understandin' of the feral ones... the sky and earth associations I often make in my stories were sort of hints toward that, but Eye is the one that focuses on that relationship... and will until you see the words "The End", in different ways. Thanks again. --- W6C

Wow. I'm very glad that you decided to post and complete this story. You've done a truly excellent job of avoiding the typical fanfic cliches about Logan's animalistic nature, while beautifully portraying the complexites and contradictions inherent in Logan's personality. Despite the fact that Logan has spent several chapters in a purely feral and instinctive state, he seems all the more human for it. And his journey has certainly brought out all sorts of wonderful traits in Ororo. Great dialogue and pacing, too. I look forward to reading more. Cheers.

Author's Response: I appreciate that, Taa, very much. Animals are often seen as "lesser" species for reasons I don't quite understand. I really wanted to show that our innate animalistic behaviors are the very things that make us "human". I'm glad I was able to convey that and, yes I really enjoyed seein' Ororo "grow" along with him and discover her own hidden traits. Thanks for the feedback. --- W6C

I have no words to convey how deeply in love with this story I am. Ordinarily I hate to see Logan 'reduced' to a feral state, because more often than not, writers don't do it correctly, but with this, he is not reduced. You write the animal side as a part of himself, as opposed to a completely seperate nature, and that makes all the difference. Beautiful. I can't wait for more!!

Author's Response: Thank you very much, Windrider. I also don't feel Logan should be 'reduced' while in a feral state. As stated within the story, I feel it's an opportunity to see the part of Logan that truly is the very best part of himself. I'm glad you can appreciate that aspect as well. ---- W6C

i love the pace and detail with which you are writing this story. i think you have done a nice job exploring multiple facets of logan's personality. you inspire me to pick-up a few unfinished pieces.

keep up the great work!

Author's Response: I appreciate your kind words, Lamisi. This story's first chapter is the first I ever posted. It's been a long time in the making. The chapters you're reading now were written a year and a half ago. I'm just now gettin' around to postin' it here as I finish up the next chapter. Thank you for takin' the time to review. --- W6C
