This part of the story, since the ambush, has really close parallels with a fic I wrote a few months ago. I wanted to explore what would happen should Logan's healing factor fail. I find it interesting to see how you approached this, how you interpret the reactions of his friends, his team mates. The marked difference is, you have written this from the point of view of others while I wrote a first hand account from Logan's POV. Your version is no less harrowing and you've tackles the situation with aplomb. Frankly I don't undertand why this chapter has gone uncommented.
