awesome, awesome plot. It's rare to see Moira, a great character, explored this way. I really appreciate how you keep it real -- it brings the situation very close to home, like it could've happened somewhen. I hope you don't ABANDON this story -- it's too good not to complete it. And the suspense is killing me!!

Author's Response: Love the pun! And I'm glad you like Moira in this, she is one of my favotire supporting characters to read in the old comics. Thanks for the review, I appreciate it!

Beautifully written. near perfection and I can see it all playing in my mind. Really you have a gift there with a pen (or keyboard :) )not just the words but the story! I feel engaged in it and love 5 year old Ororo and little Japhet.

You are right the they should have explored the relationship between Moria and Vharles more in the comics..but ah well thats what fan-fiction writers are for :) Looking forward to next chapter!

Author's Response: Glad you are enjoying it, Lady. I like to write kids, because I have kids. Moira and Charles were always interesting to me, since they broke up, but then she went to work for him for years. To me, there was a lot of unspoken devotion still there, even after his X-Men had to kill her son. She had a poignant line in one issue: "He was my son, Charley. He coulda been ours." That always makes me misty. Glad you tuned in.

First chapter, very nice. I see it all vividly without intrusion. Well done.

Author's Response: That's high praise coming from you, Nem. I tend to overdescribe things sometimes, so on those rare occasions where I can "get to the point," I feel better. Second chapter is up.

Oh, I love Japheth and I especially love a young Ororo. This has so much potential. I'm not sure where you're going but I hope to stick around to find out. I'm so far behind in my reading - need to take the computer to get it fixed this weekend! I must! But your writing is always so detailed orientated; you can just see the story unfold before your eyes. A lovely job, a very promising story!

Author's Response: I'm behind on my replies...thanks for reading, Darlene. I like details, sometimes too much, I was going for minimalist, here, trying to "show," not tell, you know me! It will move along soon. I hope!

Ohh, what a nice start, and intriguing already (I wanted to write "interesting" but luckily I read your responses to the other reviews first and thought of something else LOL). Nothing big has been revealed yet, but I can't wait to see where you are going with this! :)

Author's Response: Ororo won't be a kid for the whole fic. And this won't be fluffy, lovey-dovey. Logan will show up, but Ororo might not like him much at first.

Interesting stuff. And you got into the Moria/Charles thing that I never really understood much.

I like how you put Ororo here. 'Judgement Day' and 'indifference' in one sentence puts a lot of things into perspective. I'll be following this one. I really enjoy your fics.

Oh, and that absence of fluff thing? No problem. Angst for me, all the way.

Author's Response: Moira and Charles have never been explored much in fanfic, and never enough in the later comics. He was in love with her, they split, then she came to work for him as his housekeeper, of all things...I blame that on the chauvinism at the time. I always wish more of Moira's relationship with Xavier had been fleshed out more. Instead, Marvel just shoved her at Sean because he also had the accent. Yeah, I'm in the mood for fluff. Might be something loving in this, but not lovey-dovey like my usual fare.

I can't wait to see where this is headed. Post soon.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm still making up my mind. Like I said, I don't know where this story idea came from. It just jumped out. I won't stifle it, but I don't know what to do with it.

I can't get over how damn well you do Moira's accent. I can actually hear the Scott in her when I see her dialoge. It smacks me speechless everytime.

Good job on the story too. I can't wait to see what Lil Ro is gonna do.

I was just telling my friend about your stories, and he agreed with me. You write like a contempary Hemmingway.

Author's Response: 'Ro as a kid appeals to me, since she kinda had her childhood stolen. I picture a really, really cute kid when I imagine what she would have been like. I enjoyed BW's take on her as a kid, too!

Author's Response: still debating. Introducing characters slowly. Trying not to introduce too many.

Author's Response: three times is the charm...might put this story out to pasture. I'll go back to writing fluff, now... ;-)

I feel for poor, little Ororo already. I can't imagine what it's like to live without parents at such a young age. Fluff or no fluff, I'm sure it will be an interesting read. :)

Author's Response: There's that word interesting again... y'all are scaring me. This one might end up on the chopping block, or out on AFF.net where I send all of my lesser read fics to die... thanks for reading, buddy!
