Arrgh! What a cliffhanger! Vic turning over a new leaf in the middle of a battle. Whoa. Great chapter. :)

Author's Response: Thanks. I like my villains to have more than one side to them. Makes it more shocking when he bites the dust. Thanks, kiddo.

*blinks* Is he really dead? *cries* Damn, he grabbed 'Ro's wrist like that on purpose. He knew Logan would attack him. He wanted to die. Aww. *wants to hug Vic*
I'm glad we got to see the real him. An all around nice guy, before his stupid father messed him up. He's even sorry for what he was made to do by others who were too chicken shit to get their pretty hands dirty. Uhm... yeah, I love Vic. :D
What Jean did was awesome! I'm glad she was able to show him some light, warmth, give him his glow. :) That reminded me so much of the cool "Death Hunt" run with Sabes and Birdy. *loves* Good times. :D
So is Farouk's presence still floating around somewhere? Jean didn't destroy him, right? Just helped Vic kick him out of his head (which, again, was great!).

Uhm. I think I should say something non-Vic, too. LOL :D
Loved the moment 'Ro ran in on Scott and Jean "enjoying their tea". *snorts* That was great!
And yay for Charles being back in the game. Heavily injured, yes, but awake.

A heart wrenching chapter, Cee. For me anyways... LOL

P.S. Is he really dead? ;D

Author's Response: This was TOTALLY jacked from Death Hunt. I'm so glad you're as much of a fan of that Sabertooth arc as I am. That's when I started to love that character as a villain and as a mutant. Jean was his Birdy; I can't remember if Scott Lobdell did something like that, where Creed kept shouting at Jean to give him the glow after Birdy was killed? In Uncanny, or in adjectiveless X-men? That inspired me. Yup. Jean took away Creed's need to keep running on the rage that kept him alive for so many years. That's how Logan took him down. Yes, he's dead. Not forgotten, but dead. Sorry. I'll give him back to you in another fic, I promise!

You updated! I was beginning to think you'd forgotten about this story! *does the running man* I was starting to think I was going to have to stage a camp out on your LJ.

This chapter was chock full of awesomeness. There was romance, blood, guts and evil. I loved it.

*looks up with big doe eyes* Please ma'am, I'd like some more.

Author's Response: Romance, blood guts and evil. Yup. That was what I wanted to deliver with this one. I didn't forget about this story, but it's hard to juggle the usual, far too many that I have in progress. I need to just stop! Someone get the duct tape to tie down my hands before I start typing out a new fic!! I will bring more, I promise. I have a chapter that is about two thirds of the way through.

attempt #2

I burst out laughing at "hanky panky". I kind of liked the scene between Vic, Jean and Farouk. It was interesting to see a vunerable side to him. I was expecting the slight gore, but I still made a face. Is Vic really dead? Will Farouk be back?

Author's Response: Yup. Vic's dead. That's okay, though, since there is plenty of evil left to go around in this story from Farouk, and from whomever else he possesses...oops. Gave that one away. And I love the term hanky panky. Stevie seemed like she was the one who should say it.
