Author's Response: Everyone got where they needed to go. Logan and Vic aren't done yet. it's going to get interesting. You might like reading Moira's next piece of the action. I only hinted at her backstory in chapter one and chapter three.

Author's Response: Thanks. I liked the idea of a woman who was a lot like Logan and a friend of his, and it occurred to me that there was more of a story with them, since they both worked for Farouk. She was a madam, granted, but they would have crossed paths at some point and had a grudging respect for each other. As for Japheth, he ain't doin' too bad! He'll be glad you asked after him! Holy heck, girl! That was fantastic. The part with Logan trying to get Ororo to go with him was great.
The scene with Charles and Farouck's battle was intense. So much description that the reader feels as if it is playing out before them.

Author's Response: Japheth is waiting in the wings; he needs rescuing, too, but I'm still debating where he will end up, since Moira is still distraught that TWO kids were taken from the orphanage. Japheth's unique. Chuck's handicap isn't the main thing here for me; his past as someone who served in the military appeals to me as much as his life as a mutant. Guy's been through a lot. Those poor babies. I feel so bad for Ororo and Japheth. All she wants is her "dollie" and the evil Farouk provided what her heart desired. When will Logan gut that bastard and steal Ororo away? I can tell that you love writing for Victor. You do it so well.
I like that everyone's paths are finally crossing. I'm definitely intrigued.
Author's Response: Ororo will eventually find that Farouk and his ilk are evil, using what people want to control them. And yes, I adore Vic as a villain, and I tend to "humanize" him. He's another character I hear talking to me in his own voice when I imagine him. I have a Vic fic in the outline stages right now, but I don't know what to do with it. Glad you have read this so far, m'dear!

Author's Response: Japheth didn't have the resources available when he decided to make his little trip, and no one looked out for him, which could easily be the case, since he was an orphan displaced from his family. I haven't decided much on how long it had been, likely a few months. Charles and Logan might not like each other much, but they will have a lot to talk about.
