Of course I reviewed this offline on LJ, but I had to tag this, too! It's so good to see you back, Gainee, and what a fantastic update to come back with!

I love Kitty and Wolverine together when they verbally spar, or even when she's just in his corner fighting on his behalf, so this has me grinning ear to ear.

I hope Logan makes it in time to save their baby, and that Ororo survives to enjoy having her family together again...of course, I know you have delightfully evil plot twists afoot! You're going to sit there and make me sweat over what's gonna happen next, aintcha??? I just enjoy how you developed so many different relationships in this piece, and made us care about each one.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry! This was excellent, Gainee. Logan and a burp cloth...what a sweet image! This has been such a great story for so many reasons, so on the one hand I'm sorry to see it end, but on the other, I love how you brought this to resolution with so many outcomes that leave the reader satisfied. There wasn't one loose end left untied. I can't wait for the last little chapter, either, but this was awesome. Piotr cutting loose and taking names was of course fabulous! And I love Bobby with "HI?" That summed up my reaction perfectly!

One Man's Worth by Gaineewop Rated: NC-17 Liked [Reviews - 231]
Summary: **New Chapter** (Post X3) In a race through time, one man must change the course of the future. But what does this stranger known as Bishop really want? Can the X-Men help him or will suspicion tear their world apart? (A Movieverse take on the ultimate RoLo cartoon "One Man's Worth". Don’t look for consistency here, you won’t find it.)

Okay. You've won my everlasting devotion - again - with these two lines:

“Right, if I start seeing leprechauns and fairies, I’m so outta here.”

“Nah, we put those in the shed before we left, with the flying ponies and trolls.”

That was fabulous. That and the line about "Boys are stinky, throw rocks at them" My friend at work used to have a sticker on her desk that said that from Hot Topic. Logan reminding Ororo that Bishop sees her as his mother was beautiful. Rock on, Gainee.

One word: Sparkles...

Bahahahahaha.

Anyhoo, I loved this. This story is high on my list of "appointment reading" and I love the different relationships in besides RoLo that you make us, the reader, care about just as much. Never thought anyone would make me like John, but you have.

Dang. Ooey-gooey goodness aplenty. I love all the respective goodbye lovin' in this for each couple. I just enjoy seeing those relationships, and how protective each one of them is about their mate. Betsy has some neat layers in this story, definitely different from your interpretation of her in Walk the Line or Fade. Like John was thinking, she really did have a silly, fanciful side that worked well, in spite of how dark her role was as Magneto's disciple. Having to comb through diseased minds? Creepy.

I can't wait for the next two chapters. Or for anything else that you give us, Gainee.

Goodness gracious. You know how to bring the pain when you write tragic characters, and an entire population of persecuted people.

I know you weren't too enthusiastic about working on this one for a while, but I'm glad you did. I wasn't sure that I liked Longshot or not before, but he's definitely been redeemed here, almost a "Magneto Lite" who wants to help free the mutants from baseline oppression, but not with as much of a genocidal agenda. I can't wait to see what happens when he comes face to face with Ali again.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Cee. Praise from one of my fave authors is always grin worthy! **beams** This chapter is actually lighter than i had originally written it, but the darker version didn't set well with me, so out went the torture victims and such. I decided to leave it up to the reader to decide what was gruesome enough for them. ;)

Wow! Talk about a turnaround from the party scene with the women dealing each other the dozens!

A scene like Warren and Ororo's tussle would be great, if you were so inclined, in a comics verse fic where they are "heroes and villains" as opposed to regular people, if you had it in mind to write another piece any time soon... hint, hint, hint.

Ororo's interesting, and fun to read here, because she is snarky and using Warren's games against him. Now, what's up with Scott???

Author's Response: Well you'll just have to find out "What's with Scott" in the next chapter or so =) and theres definitley more RoLo coming up so be readyyy! and thanks for your review again! Gosh I love you!

Summary: The rewrite of my old fic. A LOT has changed. AU loosely based on Beauty and the Beast. "In a far off land, a large castle looms in the distance...On the outer edges of the kingdom, surrounded by shadow even on the brightest days, the prison sat with its front gates facing the castle...."

This was fabulous. I love Logan getting that faint scent of Ororo and changing his plans instead of going on the attack. Your phrasing and pace are very good. Remy winking at Rogue was cute.

Author's Response: I'm glad the scene hopping wasn't too confusing. I had the scene with Logan and Ororo in my head before I wrote the intro lol At first I was going to do the entire chapter with no dialogue, but I thought that would be mean. I'll be mean later ;)

I haven't figured it out yet, but now you have me in suspense! I love the exchange between Logan and Remy, they feel the way they are supposed to in the comics! Great dialogues, and I like the image of Logan looking like an animal in the shadows, as well as the fact that Remy doesn't appear to be afraid of him.

Author's Response: I'm trying really hard to have them act how they did in the comics and the old cartoon but throw a little movieverse in too, so that means a lot for you to say that! Especially since I worry about how I'm writting Remy's accent. You'll find out who the killer is soon, promise!

Cool, you brought in Piotr! And Logan and Ororo finally meet face to face! I'm a happy camper now. Great descriptions and pace. Remy's a doll. The exchanges between him and Logan are always great.

Author's Response: lol I thought he'd be the perfect first friendly face for 'Ro to see. I was going to have ya'll wait for them to meet for another chapter, but that would just be cruel wouldn't it?

Naturally I enjoyed this chapter! Lots! I got a kick out of Remy and Anna remembering each other, and of Betsy going to Warren's rescue, so good work incorporating the other 'ships in this story. Man, Jean's evil.

Author's Response: just wait... she's no where near finished yet.

Summary: Ororo, Logan and the rest of the crew are teachers at Xavier's . Ro and Lo are the best of friends. Ro's dating Hank. Scott & Jean are engaged and life is good. But things change... This is my first fic, so please any and all feedback is welcome

Once again, you have reminded me why I have such mixed feelings about Jean. She's likable and smart and sassy on the one hand, and always vulnerable, but on the other, she's selfish and flighty. It was great seeing the exchange between her and Scott, and as usual, seeing Scott's devotion to her, even when they argued the point about Logan and Ororo's friendship.

I love the pace of this story. I love the various relationships that make this more fun than watching a Days of Our Lives episode mixed with a little bit of Jerry Springer. Feels like by the end of the story, we'll have had a crazy wedding and a chair across someone's nose. More, please.

I tend to like stories with Remy as Ororo's brother. Good move. I chuckled over the side ponytail, though. When I was growing up, everyone wore those. Keep it coming.

Author's Response: Thanks!! Amber

You know me, I love my angst. Kitty and Warren makes me warm and fuzzy. Never in the comics, but it's perfect for movie verse, since I love movie Warren. It's nice to see Kitty, usually the pursuer, or usually the one everyone neglects, having two guys who kinda like her for a change.

The scene in the kitchen was great. That would have given me a migraine, too. Even though I love my RoLo lovin' as much as the next person, I'm enjoying watching them argue. Keep it coming. This was well worded, well paced, and very engaging, Gainee.
