I always love Pride and Prejudice anyway, particularly when they first meet Mr. Collins in the movie, so seeing that it is Vic is funny! Remy as Wickham was inspired, too. He fits the part of the rake, and with Anna filling in the role of the catty, flirty sister, I can picture this! come on now, update, please!

Great installment. Great grammar, you should send your beta flowers, if you have one, this was very clean and easy to read. Keep it coming. I love Ororo's remark in the carriage and her "Good Lord" in reaction to her mother's dramatics.

Hiya. Just going over your story and your reviews, and actually, Elizabeth was remarked to have had tanned skin, as I recall. Never would have thought much of this, but it fits in the context of the story. I can see Ororo playing Eliza to Jean's Jane. This story is cute, but call me a comic purist, I keep expecting Logan (Darcy) to bust out with "The Bennett chick ain't my type, bub, just lay off! 'Fine eyes,' eh!" (just kidding; I love mainline Logan) Just imagining what it would have been like to write a modern day Pride and Prejudice with the Xmen characters, in the language of the modern time. (almost like a Bridget Jones) Keep updating this, it's a great story with a likable idea. Jean's cute as Jane.
Author's Response: Hi! Thanks for the review! You know I was debating myself when I came upon this idea if I should set it in modern days or the 18th century, the latter won =) Yeah a modern day Darcy/Logan would be hilarious. But I have a soft spot for that time period =) I hope I can keep your interest!

I love the fact that she wouldn't dance with Mr. Darcy. i have to say i never thought of Mr. Darcy and Logan having any thing in common but the more i read this the more i see it.....
Author's Response: We do love our strong independent women ;) and it served him right after those nasty things he said to her! Thanks for the review I'll update as often as I can =)

Beautifully written so far. I love Pride and Prejudice, and I love AU's, so as far as I'm concerned this is perfection.
Author's Response: Oh Gosh! I really hope I can live up to your expectations. So far the updates have been slow, but I do my best! The P&P book and series (the BBC adaption) is wonderful =)

It is so weird reading this--but weird good, so keep it up! It's refreshing!
Author's Response: *lol* thanks =) it's a bit different (and difficult for me) to try to incorporate Ro/Lo and mutants in that time period, and try to use the wonderful and witty language of Jane Austen.

I liked the book so I have a very postive feeling about a rolo version of his
Author's Response: I love the book and almost worship the BBC adaption, which I have to admit, I've copied some parts from. I hope I won't disapoint you =)

I like the premise of your story but Ororo being thought strange and dark and her mother wanting her to be pale is a little hard for me to swallow. I'm not trying to be harsh and critical but Ororo is after all Black with dark brown skin. I don't know, maybe I'm being too picky. I do think your story has potential. I enjoyed the book and the mini series immensely, even the movie wasn't bad, and Logan is perfect for Darcy so aside from the race issue it's fun to read and it's a neat idea.
Author's Response: Yes I understand your concern, but as it is as you said a fact that Ororo is dark brown-black, there have to be reactions to her looks when the story doesn't take place in the regular Marvel Universe. The social standards in my fic is more or less like in the 18th century England, were fair skin were preffered. I will include mutants with more striking features than Ro's and even if they (mutants) are more or less accepted, they will not be considered as beautiful as the "normal" looking one. In the P&P novel, the author makes a point that Jane is seen as more beautiful than Elizabeth. Mr Bingleys sisters even complained that Elizabeth was tanned I believe. I hope this will be easier to accept as the story progress. You are welcome with your criticism =) I want to improve afterall! =)
