Wow.

This blew me away. Very real and very heartbreaking. This is COMPLETELY different from how I'm used to seeing Ororo, namely as a soldier. X-Man, sure, but never a soldier. I'm so used to seeing Logan cast in that mold, but again, seeing him as a service man kissing his daughter goodbye is powerful and real.

Author's Response: Aw thanks so much for such a great review! those kind of reviews are the ones that keep me writing. =) Yeah I decided to change things up a bit with the job professions of the two. I just hope it worked and didn't come off as sleezy or something. And yes it went through! Thanks for adding me!

Why do those lyrics look familiar? Was that Red Hot Chili Peppers? Reminds me of "Give It Away" for some reason. Maybe I'm just hearing the voices in my head...

This was good. Feels like a prelude to some conflict that will knock our girl off her axis. Can't wait to see what's next.

The other thing that's neat about this is, it almost feels like a story epilogue, too.

Author's Response: Haha CORRECT! I'm totally in love with them so yes I definitely had to write a story that goes along with the lyrics of Can't Stop by them. And yeah, I intended the first chapter to be a sort of like a preview type thing :) we'll see how this story goes!
