I love this piece! And as much as I'd rather you continue it, I understand you leaving it as is. It is totally beautiful...and a bit sad.

And thanks for reviewing, yeah, I know I shouldn't have left it like that, but I was just writing from my own imagination what I was thinking during the infirmary scene. There is a sequel that I'm planning on (right after I post my sequel to Sunset Rituals, which, btw, is about halfway done) so I hope I haven't broken everyone's hearts.

Excellent. That's how that scene should have played out if Ratner had taken this movie in a RoLo direction instead of the Jean's ass-kissing version they gave us.
Rather than making this any longer, you could do a oneshot sequel where those two could discuss what happened and where Logan could nudge it out of her how she feels about him. That could happen after they bury Jean, of course...hint hint...just a thought...just a suggestion...especially with her past tragedy being reawakened and him being clueless...

I cannot tell a lie - the flame retardant suit was the right choice - but don't worry I'm not gonna flame you :) Is my heart broken? Of course a true ROLO fan wants to see them together but I still liked the story. I'll read it again even knowing what the ending is. Thank you for doing a good job.
Author's Response: To lift your spirits somewhat, I'm actually working on a sequel for this! I have two ideas in mind - 1) Another alteration of the "If you're with us, then be with us" scene 2) A one-shot set right after the last scene of the third movie (right before Logan and the camera zooms off into the distance :D ) But I'm not sure which one to choose...

all riiiiiiiiight! knew that Jean was up to no good. I always hated the fact that Logan messed around with Jean even after he figured out that she killed Scott. Good scene with 'Ro, simple but accurate.

Great fic, really enjoyed reading. X3 should have gone like this. I love bleeding in love, and think it's a good song to use with the story line. I think your capturing Ororo and Logan well both proud, and even though Ororo likes Logan shes not coming off as desperate! Cant wait for you tp date, will be checking.

The post-X3 grieving scenario has definitely been done (we've ALL done it), but this was a nice use of it, a short little songfic and a nice scene with understanding and affection between these two. No histrionics, no big, loud, shouting drama. Just two people having a moment. Good work. I like her initial effort to put herself together, too. I can picture it easily.
